Future development plans

In this third test, we were able to try out various changes based on valuable feedback from users, such as improving battle tempo, adding character passives, adjusting AI, overhauling UI, and introducing a skin system.

After the test, we plan to focus on adjusting character balance, improving the controllability, and expanding skin content that can bring out the individuality of each character.

We are also continuing development to refine the user experience across the UI and improve the AI's natural movements and play strategies.

We are also focusing on finalizing the work to ensure a stable level of completion before the official release by thoroughly checking bugs reported during testing.

Today, I bring you a review of 'Dr. Chatelet Faith', a book that covers medieval medicine stories.

Game introduction🩺

The game's protagonist, Chatelet, is a graduate of the Imperial Medical College who has always believed in traditional medicine.

Chatelet, who had been on a roll with his outstanding talent and hard work, gradually encountered many situations that could not be explained by traditional medical theories.

In the midst of the clash between the innovative and traditionalist groups, Chatelet was exposed to knowledge different from traditional medicine, such as microorganisms, disinfection, and forceps hemostasis.

All of this came as a great shock to him, a man who held fast to tradition.
Should we pursue the truth or stick to tradition? The situation is reaching a climax...

How to operate🖱️

Use only the mouse. I heard that this game was originally released for mobile. So I don't use anything else but the mouse!!

Amputation surgery, drug manufacturing, bloodletting🔪

There are three games that you can play using your action points each round. 'Amputation' at school, 'Bloodletting' at the barbershop, and 'Drug Making' at home. You can earn experience points for each and obtain a certificate. As the game progresses, there are cases where you will need a beginner's qualification, so you need to earn experience points in all three games in a balanced manner.

You are given 3 action points for each round, and you spend 1 action point for each game.

It cuts pretty hard...!!

'Amputation Surgery' is a game where you have to keep the green area by repeatedly clicking the left and right mouse buttons. The more bizarre the devices you use, the more excited the audience becomes and the more money you earn. This is the game that made me feel most grateful that I wasn't born in the Middle Ages.

Well then...

'Bloodletting' is a game where you stop the cursor at the right time. You have to bleed in the green area to prevent the patient from dying. It's all good, but sometimes the clicks don't work and I end up drawing blood by mistake. (Save the patient) When the treatment is finished, I use a soldering iron to stop the bleeding.
'Medicine making' aims to balance the body fluids of patients based on the theory of the four humors. Medicine is made by adding herbs that can supplement the deficiencies in the four body fluids of phlegm, blood, yellow phlegm, and black phlegm. Since herbs alone lose their flavor, flavoring is also added.

Disinfection and suturing... This is civilization...

Since the game is easy to play, if you click well, you can easily collect money. And the more money you collect, the easier it is to unlock equipment. Since we are in the midst of medical development, new medical approaches are added as the round progresses.

For example, amputation and bleeding are done by making a wound with a knife, but when my friend Mel discovers microorganisms, she gives me a disinfectant that can kill them, and from then on, I check the patient's infection status and disinfect the instruments. Also, the method of stopping bleeding changes from herbs to suturing.

It might be an educational game...🤓

As you progress through the story, if you come across a medical concept, you can click on the word and a dictionary of the concept will appear. The contents of this dictionary are quite specific! (Like Naver Encyclopedia) It is well organized, starting from basic life science knowledge to historical content, so it feels like you are studying(?). Somehow, I feel like I am getting smarter as I play the game...

How to respond to the new trends of the times!!✝️

As you play the game, you will be presented with choices to experiment with whether to believe in traditional medicine or new medicine. Andre, who is presumed to be your rival(?), will continue to ask questions that shake the protagonist’s beliefs. Depending on how you answer, the ending branch will change. Will you stick to traditional medicine according to the will of the church and your advisor? Or will you go for new medicine that acknowledges the existence of microorganisms and performs disinfection? It’s all your choice.

Various side quests🧪

Smart Mel...

The game has five locations: a school, a house, a barbershop, a tavern, and a revolutionary hospital . Side quests occur in each space. There are side quests for each round. If you don't check them every round, you have to pay 100 gold coins in the next round to unlock them. They are not essential quests while playing the game, but you can enjoy a richer story. I enjoyed the side quests related to Mel, such as the Black Death and alchemy. If Andre is the main character's rival, Mel is his best friend. I wonder what I should do when even my best friend is following the flow of the new era.

This game has multiple endings. I haven't seen how many endings there are, but there are two types of traditional medicine and new medicine, and if a certain treatment fails, you can see another ending. (I didn't want to know...) Isn't this the charm of story adventure? What path will promising medical school talent Chatelet take? What path will you take?

From mobile games

Since this is a PC version of a game that was previously released on mobile, the screen ratio follows the mobile aspect ratio. It is unfortunate that it is not optimized for PC.

Awkward translation

There were some awkward parts in the translation. There were parts where the professor called Chatelet a child,,, and the condition of the tools was described as 'terrible' (maybe terrible..?).

The arduous journey to Round 22...!

The game consists of a total of 22 rounds, and in each round, you can use 3 actions to perform bloodletting, amputation surgery, and medicine making games. If you keep playing until round 22, you will start to feel bored after round 17. If you want to enjoy the game until the end, it would be less boring to do all the side quests together.
