현재 플레이 중이긴 하나, 지금까지의 감상을 중간 정리해 보았습니다.
Lempo는 심리적 공포 게임입니다.
여타 생존 공포 게임들과 같이 시각적으로 공포감을 유발하는 크리처들에게 쫓기며 도망치고 숨는 것이 메인은 아닙니다.
3D 1인칭 공포 게임 특유의 어둡고 기분 나쁜 (뭔가가 나타날 것만 같은 분위기)로 공포감을 조성하며,
게임의 진행은 퍼즐 해결 위주로 진행됩니다.
그렇다고 분위기만 으스스한 게 전부인 공포 게임은 아닙니다.
플레이어는 '낯선 숲'에 갇힌 채 길을 잃고 방황한다는 설정으로, 숲에서의 방황이 길어지면 길어질수록 체력이 깎여 나갑니다.
체력이 낮아지면, 시야가 흐려지고 움직임이 둔해집니다.
최종적으로 죽음에 이르면 부활이 가능하지만, 전체 최대 체력이 줄어 드는 패널티를 얻습니다.
핵심은 어두운 숲에서 너무 오랫동안 헤매지 말아야 하며,
퍼즐 해결을 잘 해내야지만 원활한 플레이 및 스토리 진행을 할 수 있습니다.
게임의 최종 목표는 현실 세계와는 다른 차원의 미지의 숲에서 벗어나는 것입니다.
(저는 아직 진행 중이라 못 벗어났습니다. 열심히 방황 중)
게임 자체의 난이도는 어렵지 않은 편이지만,
길 찾기에 어려움을 느끼시는 분들에겐 답답할 수 있습니다.
그 때문에 초반 플레이에서는 '무서운 게 아니라, 길을 못 찾아서 답답함'을 느끼실 수 있습니다.
전체 플레이 타임이 긴 작품은 아닌데,
저는 이 게임 플레이를 하면서 제가 심각한 방향치라는 사실을 깨달았습니다. ( ...)
게임 플레이 시간보다 헤매면서 뻘짓한 시간이 훨씬 더 길어서, 플레이 타임이 길게 찍힌 것 뿐입니다.
전반적으로 타 공포 게임들 대비 순한 맛의 작품이기 때문에,
공포 게임 플레이를 하고 싶지만 무서워서 공포 게임 도전을 못하신 분들이시라면,
입문용으로 플레이 하기에 좋은 3D 1인칭 심리적 공포 게임이라 생각합니다.
3D 1인칭 공포 게임 플레이 잘 못하는 쫄보인데도 재미나게 플레이하고 있습니다.
