Hello.
We are Narrowdeep, the developers of Inquisitor Shepherd.
It's already March, heralding the start of spring.
Last February, we focused all our efforts on updating the demo and solidifying the game's foundation.
This month, we're sharing the development progress we've been working hard on to bring you good news.
We're sharing the current development status and new information.
1. Chapter 2 Sailing Smoothly and Chapter 3 Draft Commenced
Currently, Chapter 2 is accelerating detailed work to create a more interesting and suspenseful production.
In addition, we have begun drafting Chapter 3 in parallel to improve the overall story's completeness.
This month's work contains a lot of spoiler content that penetrates the core of the story, so we ask for your generous understanding that we cannot disclose the entire work illustration.
Instead, we will briefly introduce two major new characters who will lead the narrative of Chapter 2.
He often confuses Shepherd with his unique way of speaking, asking and answering questions at the same time.
He seems to be plotting something secret in collaboration with the mountain guide 'Linari'.
Vale Walter
He is the faith leader of the Hoshi Prayer House.
He is a mysterious figure who always disappears after the worship schedule, citing personal maintenance.
For some reason, he seems to already know about Shepherd, whom he met for the first time.
2. Successful Steam Next Fest and Global Expansion News
The English demo version released through the recent 'Steam Next Fest' received better-than-expected positive responses from global users.

About two years ago, when I was a senior in high school, I happened to browse the visual novel list on Steam and came across 52Hz.
The unique title '52hz', which seemed to hide a story, and the blue and dreamy feeling in the thumbnail, along with the aquarium illustration... It was enough to open my curiosity and wallet, and I remember sharing my screen with a friend on Discord until dawn that day and binge-watching it until the end. (The aquarium illustration with a dreamy feeling often came to my mind during training, so I used it as my profile picture ㅋㅎㅋㅎ)
The protagonist who tries to end his life by giving up his dream for realistic reasons, and Yeonhee who hires such a protagonist.
At first, I thought it was a romance, but after the middle, the direction turned into a suspenseful development, and I became more and more immersed in the story. And the story device of Yeonhee's secret being revealed near the end... I thought, "Ah, this is a really well-made visual novel." The OST that flowed at the end also remained in my memory for quite a long time.
(I think I contributed about 1,000 views..)
Now, two years later, the DLC has been released, but I am also serving in the military for realistic reasons, so it was difficult to play it myself.. Nevertheless, I wanted to see the After Story so much that I borrowed an account from a friend who went on vacation and asked him to share the screen. Fortunately, my friend readily agreed, and I was able to watch the ending of the After Story over two days.
The After Story, which I saw with difficulty, was a work that exceeded expectations. In the work, there is a callback to the main story, "What are you thinking that you are looking at the gift with those eyes?", even the intonation and accent of the voice actor... It was almost the same as the line that came out when I first met Yeonhee in the main story, so I was so happy as soon as I heard it. As a fan, I really like these moments..

(I was watching the screen and was so happy to see the callback that I immediately told my friend.. It's a callback, not an homage.. Please forgive my ignorance)
Yeonhee and the protagonist's tiki-taka and chemistry were also good. I think it prevented the boredom in the beginning part that could have been boring. I'm sure she's an older sister, but at some point, I was watching with a happy dad smile..
Also, I usually thought that After Story would be a short episode, but this DLC was similar in length to the main story, so it felt like watching another work. Above all, the writer's unique suspenseful development and writing skills were so good that I never lost my immersion while playing, except when my senior talked to me.
I remember seeing the atmosphere change drastically in 3 seconds when the protagonist's condition deteriorated..
In the work, the protagonist shows a blind sacrifice for love and does not bend his will that he is right. However, the self-destructive sacrifice makes us wonder, is the remaining person happy? and it was unique to use his younger self as a medium to awaken this. The only thing that fits the medium that needs to know the protagonist's situation so well and tell the protagonist that he is wrong from an objective point of view is the protagonist himself in another timeline..
Through his own words in the car 2 years ago, he realizes "I only need you!" instead of self-destructive sacrifice.
However, the protagonist's self-destructive sacrifice was not reckless as a result, and through the process of treating the protagonist with Yeonhee's treated cells, the protagonist and Yeonhee once again completed the narrative of salvation for each other. (In the main story, Yeonhee saved the protagonist who lost the meaning of life and was dying, and in After, Yeonhee saved the protagonist who was trying to save Yeonhee who was dying..?)
The process of unraveling the story of the protagonist's dream, which was not covered in the main story, as it progressed to the climax of the story was also impressive. It could have been a somewhat boring development, but I think I was naturally immersed in it because of the expectation of how we would overcome this seemingly impossible situation together while maintaining plausibility.
(I also wondered if I had extinguished the fire of my dream with laziness and realistic rationalization, and I had time to reflect on myself.)
I was happy to hear the ost again in the highlight part of the story. Personally, I wanted it to come out one more time.. I think they saved it for this moment, which will shine the most in After Story, rather than sending it out at the end like the main story.
(I remember being very immersed because I was watching it lying on my bed in the living quarters, so it was similar to the protagonist's point of view ㅋㅎㅋㅎ)
The main story ended with the subtitle 'True Ending' as an open ending, but in the last of After Story, the subtitle 'Happy Ending' finally put an end to the story.. Personally, I really liked this directing.

When I play visual novels, there are often works that leave something to be desired compared to expectations, but 52hz was more than expected from the main story to the after story. It has been a great vitality during my military life, and thanks to it, I have enjoyed playing as a fan and as a user, and I think it will be a work that will remain in my memory for a long time ㅎㅎ
It was a work that made me think a lot. Self-destructive sacrifice for love and the unhappiness of the remaining person.. His own dream lost in between.. Thank you for reading my disorganized writing because I don't have the talent to write..

저번에 다들 사진을 많이 찍어오라 하셔서,,, 게임에 취해 놓친 부분들이 많지만 ㅠㅠ 그래도 최대한 많이 찍어봤습니다!
BIC가 열린 토요일 아침 전 집에서 나와 기차를 타고 벡스코와 가까운 신해운대역에 내려 점심을 먹자마자 바로 벡스코를 갔습니다.


제가 들어갔을 때가 1시쯔음 이였던 걸로 기억하는데도 티켓 부스에 사람들이 줄 서서 티켓을 구매 하시더라구요.
전 빅커넥터즈 활동을 통해 따로 입장권을 받아 바로 입장했습니다.

벡스코에 입장하자마자 수많은 게임 부스에 둘러 쌓여 어떤 거부터 해야할 지 멘붕이 와서 뇌정지가 왔습니다..
그래도 우선 인포메이션에 가서 부스 지도가 있는 가이드 맵을 통해 대략적으로 파악을 했구요.

맨 먼저 지도에 있는 제일 중요한 우리의 스토브 부스에 가서 굿즈들은 어떤게 있는지 구경하고 이벤트 참여방법을 보고 왔습니다.
골드 스마일은 스토브 부스에서 간단하게 스토브 구독 등을 하면 얻을 수 있는 형식이였고, 오렌지 스마일은 부스 중 스마일 스팟이 있는데
부스마다 미션을 통해 획득하는 구조더라구요. 이 스마일들을 통해 부스에 있던 굿즈들을 구매하는 방식이라 게임을 많이 플레이 해보라는
스토브의 큰 뜻.. 라는 생각이 들면서 열심히 스마일을 모아 평소 눈독을 들이던 굿즈들을 사야겠다는 생각으로 끝나는 시간까지
게임만 했던 거 같습니다 ㅋㅎㅋㅋ..


부스에 굿즈만 있는게 아니고 이번에 나온 '억새밭 사잇길로' 와 곧 나올 '심야학교' '청춘프레임' 등신대가 있길래 찍어 봤습니다.
다들 너무 기대가 되는 작품이였는데 여기서 만나니 반갑더라구요!!




그 후에 여러 부스들을 돌아다니면서 게임을 즐겼습니다. 진짜 끝날 때까지 돌아다녔던 거 같아요.
Box to the Box 게임도 재밌게 플레이 했었는데 부스가 있길래 반가운 마음에 갔더니 굿즈를 가져가고 싶은 만큼 가져가라고 하셔서
두 개씩 챙겼다는 사실.. (박스가 넘 귀여워서 찍었다는 후문)
확실히 게임 페스티벌에 오니 개발자분들이 계셔서 게임하면서 느꼈던 부분이나 아쉬웠던 부분, 궁금했던 부분들을 물어 볼 수 있는
시간이 있어서 좋았습니다.

5시가 되어 행사가 끝난 후 시상식도 보고 저녁 식사가 제공되어 즐겁게 식사하고 숙소에서 활동하는 분들과 수다를 떨면서
즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다.

그 다음날은 사실 일찍 가려다 그래도 아쉬운 마음이 들어 잠시나마 벡스코에 들려 행사를 즐기다 바로 올라가는 기차를 타고
눈물을 머금고 떠났습니다..

퍼레이드도 귀엽게 하더라구요!
BIC 행사에 참여하면서 느낀건..
확실히, 200개가 넘는 게임과 부스가 있다보니 하루로는 부족하다는 생각이 들었고
다음 번 BIC 행사는 무조건 여유로운 일정으로 가야겠다는 생각이 들었습니다.

이번에 BIC에서 얻은 굿즈들인데 왼쪽 사진은 스토브 부스에서 얻은 것들 입니다. 오른쪽은 거의 부스에서 받은 것들이에요!
억새밭 엽서는 뽑기로 얻었고, 네개의 빛 안경닦이는 이루카가 좋아서 샀구요.. (토리에트님 보고 계신가요.. 충성충성)
러브 딜리버리는 너무 즐겁게 플레이 했던 기억이 있어 굿즈를 꼭 소장하고 싶었는데
이번 기회에 마련 할 수 있어서 너무 좋았습니다.. (사랑해요 스토브)
이번 행사가 기대했던거 보다 더 풍성해서 유저로서 너무 만족했던 거 같습니다.
이번에 스토브 부스에서 구매한 굿즈들도 얻고, 부스에서 게임을 체험하거나 이벤트에 참여하면 굿즈를 주는 등
짧게 즐기는 시간에도 많은 것들을 체험하고 얻을 수 있어서 좋았습니다.
스토브 인디에 계시는 분들도 내년에 BIC가 열리고 빅커넥터즈 활동을 신청할 수 있는 기회가 있다면
전 정말 추천 드리고 싶을 만큼 너무 좋았던 기억만 쌓고 가는거 같습니다.
빅커넥터즈 분들과 이야기 하면서 느꼈지만 다들 정말 게임에 진심이구나.. 라는걸 정말 느껴서
게임에 진심인 사람들 밖에 없었던 거 같아요.
내년에 BIC 가신다면
전 물론 혼자 가서도 충분히 잘 즐겼지만, 게임을 좋아하는 친구나 지인이 있다면 같이 게임도 체험하면서
좋은 시간을 보낼 수 있을 거 같아 여러 명이서 가는 것도 추천합니다!
미약하게나마 적어보았습니다..! 정말 즐거웠어요!!
