스마일게이트 스토브 쪽 주식을 살 수 있으면(2달 뒤에 예탁일 만기인 게 하나 있음. 약 200만.) 스토브 경영에 간섭할 수 있을 텐데...
스마일게이트 본사가 일부러 상장하지 않고 있어서 불가능인 게 아쉽네요.
상장해줬으면 좋겠다~

그나마 넥슨이 이런저런 시도를 많이 하려고 하는데, 이번에 상속세 내려고 주식 대량 매각한다고 하니까 어찌될지는 봐야할거같습니다

그 반대라고 봅니다. 상장 회사였다면 주주들 뜻에의해 아마 로스트 아크 외 서브 사업들은 다 정리 되었을 것 같습니다. 스토브 인디 유지하는 것도 상장이 되었다면 이뤄질 수 없는 일 같습니다. 스토브가 인디 게임 외에도 툰스푼부터 해서 여러가지 돈 안되는 일을 많이 했거든요. 쉽게 포기 않고 다년간 다양한 컨텐츠 분야에 도전했던 것을 저는 지켜봤었어요. 제가 이걸 알게된게 아마 3년 전부터였을 겁니다.
아무튼 주주 회사들은 다 그런 방향으로 가기 때문이죠. 게임의 완성도 등을 주주들이 우선할 것 같죠? cdpr 사이버 펑크 사태도 주주들의 성화에 경영진이 개발진들의 요구를 다 묵살해서 벌어진 참사입니다. 그래서 게임에 들어가보면 여기저기 컨텐츠가 잘려나가고 수정된 흔적들을 볼 수 있습니다. 해킹 방식 같은건 완전히 바껴버렸구요.
또 대표적으로 EA의 사례가 있습니다. 주주들의 성화로 드래곤 에이지 2부터 여러 게임을 망치고 심지어 명작이었던 ip와 개발사를 사들여 급하게 게임을 내게 해놓고는 실패하자 개발팀을 해체시켜 버립니다. 게임을 모르고 대충 개발 상황을 훑어본 주주들이 이 정도면 되었지 하고 게임 출시를 앞당길 것을 요구 했고 그렇게 버그 투성이에 최적화가 덜되고 컨텐츠가 잘려나간 게임들이 발매가 된 것입니다.
주주들이 다 30대님과 같은 뜻을 가졌을거라 생각한다면 큰 오산 입니다. 당장의 이익실현에 눈이 먼 사람들에게는 게임의 완성도 같은건 잘 판단되지 않기 때문이죠. 그 결과 상장이 된다면 30대님의 생각과 완전히 반대 방향으로 진행이 되어 더 암울한 상황이 벌어질 겁니다. 지금은 그나마 스토브 인디가 잘 되서 나중에 다른 작품들도 한글화가 될 일말의 가능성이라도 있지만 상장이 된다면 그마저도 사라진다는 거죠.

우 상단 전체 메뉴 눌러서 툰스푼 눌러보시면 스팀에 유료로 팔고 있는 코미포라는 만화 만드는 프로그램과 같은걸 볼 수 있습니다. 라이센스를 사와서 독자적으로 튜닝해서 쓰는 것 같더군요. 스토브에서 이 다른 버전을 툰스푼으로 이름 짓고 모두가 무료로 쓸 수 있게 해줬습니다. 아시는 분은 많지 않지만... 저는 원래 몇 년 전부터 툰스푼에서 놀던 사람이어서 기억하고 있습니다. 지금은 아예 커뮤가 침체되어 가지는 않고 있지만...
