일단 애니랑 만화나 영화를 자주 보다보니, 약간은 들려버리는 게 있어서
성우가 있는 게임을 하다보면, 번역이 구릴 때 어? 이거 말하는 거하고 번역하고 뭔가 다른데? 란 느낌이 들 때가 있단 말이죠....
액션 게임일 땐 그래도 그게 주가 아니니까,
그래 내가 키류 형님이나 마지마 형님이 깡패 새끼들 두들겨 패는 거 즐기려고 하는 거지, ㅅㅂ 어차피 야쿠자들이 나불 거리는 건데ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 란 느낌으로 애써 무시하고 플레이 하는데....
RPG일 땐 한번 오역이 눈에 밟히기 시작하면 그 다음부턴 몰입을 못한단 말이죠~
예를 들어 최근엔,
스퀘어 에닉스에서 발매한 옥토패스 트래블러 2가 프롤로그에 나오는 텍스트 번역이 구리다거나(예를 들어 고멘네라고 말하고 있는데 한글 자막으론 고마워라고 출력 되거나(영어로도 아임 소리라고 나온 걸로 봐서 고마워가 절대 아닌데 말이죠!), 성우는 작은 배라고 말하고 있는데 계속해서 그냥 배라고만 나온다거나, 사투리가 적용 되었다가 안 되었다가 한다거나)
언어의 부적절함이 분명 심의 기준에 들어가 있는데 조금이라도 성적인 뉘앙스가 있으면 전부 검열되어 있다거나....
그딴 식으로 번역할 거면 차라리 성우를 넣지 말란 생각까지 들었단 말이죠, 젠장. 근데 이런 말을 ㄹㄹ웹에 적었더니 이상한 사람 취급 받았어요ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 그래봐야 비전문가의 의견이라면서 에효 으쩔 수 없다, 라는 댓글도 봤고ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ,
스퀘어 에닉스 사이트에 문의 하니까 ㅅㅂㄹ 매크로 답변이나 보내고 말예요.
또, 과거엔 아톰 RPG 1편의 경우에도 번역 좀 개선해달라고 캡처해서 올린 적도 있고 말예요....
ㄹㅇ 피드백은 스퀘어 에닉스하고 여기하고 봤을 때 스토브 인디가 10배 더 나은 듯.
(가끔 아예 일본어하고 영어 쪽을 공부해서 시험을 치면 낫지 않을까란 생각이 지나갈 때가 있는데.... 지금은 노가다 하면서 여가비나 저축머니를 벌고 있고, 휴일일 땐 너무 지쳐서 그럴 여유가 눈꼽만치도 없단 말이죠... 아니면 ㅈㄴ 먼 데로 보내져서 일찍 자야한다거나요... 예를 들어 오늘도 내일은 새벽 3시 반에 일어나야해서 이제 곧 씻고 자야 되고 흑흑)
그렇다보니... 번역하시는 분들이나 번역한 결과물을 받는 분들은 아 이거 번역 틀렸는데... 라는 게 보였고, 그게 굉장히 거슬리신 적은 없나요?

가끔 뭔가 내용이 너무 이상해서 원문을 보고나서야 그게 오역이라는 걸 알게 되는 경우는 있긴 했어요
그런데 게임 같은 경우는 원문이랑 직접 비교할 일이 별로 없어서 체감은 많이 못하는 편이에요
