The atmosphere and pattern personality are definitely charming, and the waterfall that appeared on the way to the new map in Chapter 2 was really beautiful,
But because of the controls and convenience, I don't think it can be saved until the end. Not long after coming to Chapter 2, I met the boss.

First, the Epic Seven 8th Anniversary Eternal Succession Festival is
an offline event held to commemorate Epic Seven's 8th anniversary!!
You could attend through advance reservation!
Various programs like the Golden Bell and developer meetups were prepared!
And for the Golden Bell, so that global users who couldn't
come to the venue could also join in the fun,
an online Golden Bell was held simultaneously in a
separately configured metaverse ZEP space!!!
The location was Sinchon Hyundai Department Store U-PLEX!
The collab cafe was on the B2 floor, and the meetup event was on the 12th floor!!

You could find various menus at the collab cafe!!
I had nachos and a drink that tasted like Pong-dda!
And even the macarons the manager bought for me,
I ate until I was full!!
And next to the collab cafe,
cosplayers were taking photos.

And the goods zone prepared in one corner of the collab cafe!
The hoodie I really wanted and
the power bank I really, really wanted!!!
It was full of such pretty goods.

From the chairs to the cushions and tables, everything was Epic Seven.
It was a point where you could feel how much care they put into it.
Inside here, various events like the Golden Bell and
PVP battles with developers were held!

"램지"의 다람지구 영웅담!
햄스터 둥지 안에 있는 다람쥐 램지가 탈출을 위해 주변을 둘러보다
옆에 있는 햄스터 치즈가 자신의 노트를 보고 있는 걸을 보게 되고
'다람지구'에서 있던 자신의 영웅담을 말하면서 플레이어들은 램지의 영웅담을 플레이하게 된다.
대략적인 스토리를 이야기하면, '다람지구'는 사악한 발명가의 욕심이 만들어낸 이상 기후로 식량 문제를 가지게 되어
'우주유영 쳇바퀴'를 타고 다른 행성에서 식량을 조달할 계획을 세웠다.
하지만 문제가 생겨 '우주유영 쳇바퀴'를 만들 수 없게 되었고 이를 해결하기 위한 모험이 시작된다!
처음 게임을 시작하면 "이야기꾼"과 "모험가"로 나누어져 있는 것을 볼 수 있다.
두 모드 모두 동일한 스토리를 가지고 있지만, 이야기에 집중하고 싶은 사람은 "이야기꾼"을
퍼즐과 더 높은 난이도를 즐기고 싶은 사람은 "모험가"를 선택해주시면 되겠다.
게임 플레이
퍼즐 액션 플랫포머 게임 방식으로 몬스터와 발판을 통한 퍼즐의 플레이를 주를 이룬다.
이런 게임 장르를 할 때 개인적으로 맵을 화면에 바로 보여주지 않으면 상당히 많은 시간을 쓰게 되고,
길을 잃어버리기에 답답하게 느끼는 편인데 더 램지는 상당히 친절하게 알려준다.
퀘스트를 받게 되면 가야할 위치라던지 자신의 위치 등 길을 잃어버릴 수 없게 만들어 놓았고 큰 막힘 없이 플레이 할 수 있었다.
이상 기후가 된 '다람지구'이기에 다양한 맵을 볼 수 있게 되는데, 해당 환경에서 살아남기 위해서 총 4개의 식물을 얻게 된다.
식물을 얻으면서 해당 식물(탄환)에 대한 퍼즐이 존재하고, 새로운 맵에 가도 얻은 식물을 가지고 풀 수 있는 퍼즐이 계속 있다.
(첫 번째 섬에서는 퍼즐 1이라면 세 번째 섬은 퍼즐 1 + 퍼즐 2 + 퍼즐 3 모두를 사용해야 한다.)
식물을 얻었을 때 전에 가보지 못한 곳도 갈 수 있게 되어게임 요소를 하나도 버리지 않겠다는 것이 보여 높은 점수를 주고 싶다.
한 섬(스테이지)에서 하는 일이 끝났다고 스테이지가 끝난 것이 아닌
서브 퀘스트나 메인 스토리를 통해 여러 섬을 반복하게 돌아 스테이지의 개념보다는 여행을 떠나는 느낌을 받았고,
메인 스토리 이외에도 서브 퀘스트가 있어 아기자기한 스토리와 해당 맵에 관련된 자잘한 정보를 들을 수 있다.
서브 퀘스트를 클리어하게 되면 게임을 쉽게 플레이 할 수 있게 도와주는 "발명품"의 제작법을 알려주게 된다.
발명품은 '볼트넛'이라는 재화를 통해 만들 수 있는데, 해당 스테이지에 주를 이루는 퍼즐을 통해 볼트넛을 얻을 수 있는 장소가 있다.
난이도 자체는 많이 어렵지 않으나 게임에서 평범하게 진행되는 퍼즐보다는 난이도가 있어 어렵다고 생각된다면,
볼트넛을 얻지 않고 플레이 해도 큰 문제가 되지 않으니 자신의 플레이 스타일에 맞춰 하면 되겠다.
(무조건 필요한 발명품이 있어 볼트넛 2개는 얻어놓아야 하긴 한다.)
나의 경우 처음 발명품을 봤을 때 게임을 쉽게 플레이 하게 할 수 있는 정도라고 생각해,
발명품을 만들 수 있을 때 마다 만들었지만 특정 발명품이 없으면 넘어갈 수 없는 부분이 있어
볼트넛을 얻기 위해 모든 섬을 돌아다니며 볼트넛을 얻었던 기억이 있다...
그 외의 부분
이 게임의 독보이는 특징 중 하나는 한국어 대사에 풀 더빙이 아닐까 싶다.
스토리 위주 게임이다 보니 여러 캐릭터들과 대화하는 장면이 많은데, 그 때마다 캐릭터에 어울리는 목소리와 연기로
게임의 분위기나 여러 섬의 특징도 자연스럽게 잘 살렸다고 생각된다. (성우에 많이 신경썼다는 것이 느껴졌다.)
여담인데, 더 램지를 실행할 때 들리는 '이키나 게임즈'를 말하는 성우들이 바뀌는 이스터에그...? 같은 것도 있다.
단점이라고 생각하는 부분은 설정 버튼이 없다는 것이다.
소리 설정이나 키 설정이 불가능하고, 창모드도 없어 전체 화면으로만 플레이 할 수 있다.
(전체 화면 단축키가 있을 수도 있지만 난 못찾았다.)
전체 화면이 이 게임의 특징이라면 모바일에서 상당히 잘 먹히지 않을까...? 라고 생각된다.
총평
오늘은 퍼즐 액션 플랫포머 게임 "더 램지 (The Ramsey)"에 대해서 리뷰를 진행했다.
캐릭터도 귀엽고 스토리도 귀여웠던 더 램지는 퍼즐 액션 플랫포머 입문작으로 좋을 것 같다는 생각이 많이 들었다.
퍼즐도 오랜 시간을 고민하지 않아도 풀 수 있는 것들로 이루어져 있으며,
컨트롤이 필요한 부분이 있긴 하나 어렵지 않아 게임을 처음 하는 사람도 1시간 정도면 익숙해질 수 있다.
이런 특징 덕분에 처음 액션 플랫포머 게임을 접한 사람도 쉽게 플레이할 수 있었고.
플레이 타임(필자의 경우 5시간 46분이 걸렸다. 보통 4~5시간 정도 걸리는 것 같다.)도 그렇게 길지 않아
액션 플랫포머 게임을 입문해보고 싶다면 "더 램지"를 추천한다.
