That was the first thing that came to my mind when I first saw the character Baek Seon-hwa while playing the previous work, <Sisters Curriculum>
The plot is similar to the previous work, <Sisters Curriculum>, but this time the target is the sisters' mother, not the sisters.
The story revolves around the protagonist who starts a tutoring job at a wealthy family and meets the sisters 'Woo Yeon-hee' and 'Woo Yu-ri', who have their own circumstances, and their mother, the divorced married woman 'Baek Seon-hwa'.
First of all, I thought the story would be heavier than the story of the sisters in the previous work, but it was a little lighter than expected.
Since it's a sensitive topic of romance with a married woman, I thought it would lead to a development that includes realistic problems and conflicts and eventually overcomes them somehow,
(Maybe this story will appear in a future if story)
It just puts in the conflict between the sisters and the protagonist and solves it, so it leads to a development that everything is okay, which felt a bit absurd.
The overall CG was very good, but the H scenes simply ended with leaving the aftermath to the imagination
I wondered what the difference was between the regular version and the secret plus version.
I also felt that there was a lack of narrative about 'Baek Seon-hwa' in the previous work <Sisters Curriculum>, so
I thought it would be resolved in this work, but it still shows a lack of narrative, which was a bit disappointing.
However, thanks to the excellent acting skills of the voice actors, I was able to immerse myself well, and the relationship between the protagonist and 'Baek Seon-hwa' was well expressed in line with the word 'pure love', and at the same time, the refreshing development that solved the sisters' problems eliminated factors that were frustrating or hindered immersion.
Perhaps this work is a work for those who have played the previous work and the real true ending of the Curriculum series.

Q1. What difficulties are there in wearing a gauntlet and throwing a stone?
Throwing a stone from the ground while wearing a gauntlet (knuckle/gauntlet) can actually cause some physical discomfort.
1️⃣ Restriction of finger use
Gauntlets usually have a structure that covers the back of the hand and fingers to protect the fist or increase striking power.

You don't need to pick it up and grab it as accurately as a stone
It is possible to just sweep and scoop it off the floor
So it is relatively easy to perform even with equipment with limited finger movement like gauntlets.
2️⃣ No complete grip required
Finger snap and grip are important when throwing a stone

The effect occurs even if you just grab it roughly and swing it around.
Low accuracy requirement
So the action itself is possible even with gloves or gauntlets.
3️⃣ Behavior that also exists in actual combat
In fights or street fights

As someone who really enjoyed Sisters Curriculum, I had high expectations for this game as well.
First, let's summarize what I liked about 'Secret Curriculum'
1. Unique character illustrations and story immersion
The art style is excellent. I loved the harmonious expression of the delicate details in the background and the cute character illustrations. Also, the illustrations emanating from various poses, befitting the 19+ rating, were what I would call art. I was able to meet the artist who draws the backgrounds at the Ilpe event, and I would cautiously like to hug them if I meet them again next time.
The story also progresses gently, gradually expressing the explosion of emotions, making it easy to immerse oneself in it. The person who wrote the script wrote the sentences beautifully, making me feel warm.
2. Voice actor casting and acting GOAT
Woo Yuri, Woo Yeon-hee, and this time Baek Seon-hwa's character, the voice actors' acting was so good.
Sometimes when playing visual novel games, you can feel a unique acting tone when reading the lines, but it didn't exist in this game.
I think it's the result of the voice actors trying to express the unique character traits naturally.
3. Impressive BGM
The basic background music was mostly taken from the previous 'Sisters Curriculum', but the last highlight part
was music I heard for the first time, but it made me want to watch the ending part again, leaving a lingering feeling.
Personally, I think that a work with memorable BGM becomes a life's work for someone, and I think I will remember the BGM of this work for a long time.
If there were any disappointing points..
There are some unfriendly parts throughout the work.
Minor bugs and sound breaking issues could have been checked just before release, but it's a bit disappointing that the review wasn't done during the delayed period. Also, the fact that the main character's name is fixed as Han Tae-pyung. I was really curious about the reason for differentiating it from the previous work. If there is no special reason, I feel that fixing the name is a minus in visual novels.
If I had to pick the biggest mistake.. It shook my heart Princess Woo Yeon-heemade her cry..
After watching the previous work's Woo Yeon-hee ending, I vowed to protect her as the 'Woo Yeon-hee's Greatest Swordsman'.Our Yeon-hee princess is often tsundere.. but she is a very sensitive person who can't even properly talk to the person she likes..Making such a person confess and get rejected, and even making her cry all night.. you shouldn't have done that..I can endure all this anger if you produce a Woo Yeon-hee audio drama.. but the possibility is unlikely..
Always remember..
That the 'Woo Yeon-hee's Greatest Swordsman' is watching you from the shadows..

I can't tell if the dev at this points completely given up on hooking the average players or what but the achivments are getting out of hands.
In order to get the final BIG medal we needs to compelete ALL the achviments including getting all the pointless RNG time sink unidentified area where you would never touch while building a good save (do you take guaranteed credits/removal or a useless gear to roll the rng again on map 2 for that specifiy area etc, etc). Build 2 full team speicalized in just doing the challenges that can't be rushed through on lower difficutly/tier since you also need it to be strong enough to actually BEAT the stage on difficulty 4 with distortion 9. Not to mention we literally still have one more achivment that's "To be updated" at this point I wouldn't even be suprised if the last one is just get Master tier on the next great rift and cut off 98% of the players from compeleting their wall.
The medal wall is suppose to be a engagment hook for players of all level (Even the casual should have a shot since if taken inspriation from other games it should be a sesonal high five, Thank you for still playing the season and not dropping the game as a whole). The design would be a complete floop if it activitly screams waste your time on doing pointless stuff or all your hard work will become sink cost. For me the wall screams grind everything or grind nothing. I REALLY doubt most players enjoys looking at an half empty wall after playing the seasaon for over 40 days.
Wasn't the dev trying to fight gameplay fatigue? Spaming diffcutly one to get all the unidentified area easter egg and praying the last achivment to not be literally impossible doesn't sounds very fun to me after already grinding the same map for weeks now or is it? The game is literally bleeding players and the dev are still treating us like robots which is kind of crazy, consider it took them a whole week to find the bug in Alcea not working as intended, do they even play test anything?
TLDR: Hard challenges are fine but dont make it part of the medal collection/completions or make it easier as x out of x please.




한글화 요청이 부쩍 많은 게임이라 궁금해서 해봤습니다
결론부터 말하면, 재밌습니다. 익숙하고 검증된 시스템을 개선해서 꽉꽉 담아놔서 지루하지 않게 즐길 수 있습니다. 조금만 익숙해지면 타임머신 발동입니다.
근데 초반이라 그런진 몰라도 텍스트가 엄청 많고 영어 번역이 이상한게 있어서 좀 힘듭니다. 일본어는 어떨까 싶어서 해봤는데 일본어는 더 이상합니다.
그러니까 스토브는 빨리 한글화 '해줘'
근데 이정도 볼륨의 게임을 과연 인디라고 말할 수 있을지는......모르겠습니다.
게임 방식
시작할 때 캐릭터 4개 중에 하나를 골라 캐릭터별 스토리를 진행하며 전 세계를 탐험하는 오픈월드 항해 무역 게임입니다.
캐릭터는 포르투갈, 아랍, 명, 일본 4개 국가 중 하나를 고릅니다. 각 캐릭별로 전투, 항해, 학문, 건조 중 특화 영역이 하나씩 있습니다. 게임 스타일로 봤을 때 캐릭별로 진행상황을 공유하지는 않을 것 같네요.

▶ 각 캐릭터에 따라 스타팅 포인트와 스토리가 달라집니다

▶ 캐릭터 설명만 해도 텍스트가 그득합니다. 막상 까보면 실제로는 그렇게까지 많지 않을 수도 있지만... 초반부터 이렇게 많은 정보를 외국어로 접해야 하는건 큰 부담입니다.
플레이는 크게 세 가지 영역입니다.
1. 무역
항구에서 항구로 물건을 파는 전형적인 무역입니다. 시세도 바뀌고 이벤트처럼 특정 항구에서 특정 물품의 가격이 폭등하기도 합니다. 각 항구 술집에서 어디서 어떤 물건이 비싸게 팔리는지, 싸게 살 수 있는지 알 수 있습니다.
처음에는 좀 빡빡한데요, 이런 류의 게임이 다 그렇듯 선단과 경로가 갖춰지면 그때부턴 돈이 쑥쑥 벌립니다. 특히 유럽 지중해 무역이나 한중일 동아시아3국 무역이 거리도 가깝고 수입도 짭짤합니다.

▶ 얼마에 사서 얼마에 파는지 나옵니다. 술집에서 정보를 얻으면 이익을 더 많이 남길 수 있습니다.
2. 전투
전투는 선단이 갖춰지기 전인 초반에는 진짜 재밌습니다. 박진감 넘치고 사선도 잡고 속도도 조절해가면서 적절하게 사격하면서 적선을 파괴해야 합니다. 중반 이후로 선단이 갖춰지면 멀리서 쏘기보단 백병전 (배와 배가 붙으면 백병전이 됩니다)으로 슬슬 쓸어담을 수 있습니다.
3. 경영
경영 요소는 배 업그레이드, 동료 관리, 항구 발전 등등 여러 시스템이 있습니다. 항구 발전은 뭐 당연히 투자하면 항구가 발전하는거고요, 배 업그레이드도 마찬가지입니다. 캐릭터는 유명 항구에서 특정 조건을 만족하면 동료 캐릭터를 영입할 수 있습니다.
솔직히 개별 컨텐츠에 엄청난 깊이가 있는 건 아니고요, 새로울 것도 없습니다. 돈이 어느 정도 쌓이기 시작하면 전 세계를 돌아다니면서 느긋한 경영 라이프를 즐길 수 있습니다. 근데 아는 맛이 무서운 것처럼, 익숙한 시스템들이 모여서 게임을 부담없으면서도 계속 플레이하게 만듭니다.

▶ 전투하는 스샷은 못찍었는데, 어렵진 않습니다. 대포를 배 왼쪽이나 오른쪽 중 한 곳으로만 발사할 수 있는데, R키로 방향 바꾸고 배 조종하면서 적 배를 사선에 두고 쏘면 됩니다.
그래픽
일러스트는 트리오브세이비어 느낌이 납니다. SD도 귀엽고, 바다 표현은 매우 좋습니다. 전반적인 그래픽 풍은 옥토패스 트레블러와 비슷합니다. UI도 그렇고, 메뉴 하나하나에 디테일을 잘 살렸습니다.

▶ 가끔 나오는 컷신 이미지도 수준급입니다
사운드
솔직히....빈말로도 좋다고는 할 수 없습니다. 좀 비어있는 느낌이 강하게 들어요. 밋밋하기도 하고요. 대항해시대 시절 브금을 기대하면 많이 실망하실겁니다.
게임성
뷔페 같은 게임입니다. 하나하나의 메뉴가 퀄리티 높고 맛있는 건 아니지만 중간 이상은 하기 때문에 맛있게 먹을 수 있습니다. 오히려 각 요소가 가벼워 더 좋습니다. 무역은 무역대로, 경영은 경영대로 깊이 있고 복잡했다면 게임이 너무 피곤했을 것 같네요. 적당히 몰입하면서 부담 없이 즐기기에 딱 좋습니다.
전반적으로 좋은 건 일단 다 넣고 본다는 최근 모바일 게임의 트렌드를 따라가는 느낌입니다.

발전한 그래픽으로 즐기는 대항해시대2. 전 세계를 누비며 모험을 떠나는 오픈월드. 캐릭별 스토리 라인을 따라가며 여러 이야기를 즐기는 플레이도, 만족할 때까지 바다를 돌아다니는 플레이도 가능합니다. 시간순삭 게임이 될 겁니다. 연휴가 끝나가는 시점에 알게 되서 너무 아쉽네요.
플레이타임은 캐릭터 1개 기준 30시간 정도 걸린다고 합니다. 4개 다 공략하면 120시간...?


게임 시장이 대형 게임 위주로 개편되다보니 AAA급 게임 아니면 인디 게임 밖에 안남았을 정도로 시장이 양분화 되었죠
잇 테이크 투 같은 게임도 회사 규모와 경력도 인디를 한참 넘어섰고 퍼블리셔가 무려 EA인데도 외부 투자 못받아서 인디로 구분할 정도
앞으로 이런 이원화가 더 심해지지 않을까 싶기도 합니다.
