About two years ago, when I was a senior in high school, I happened to browse the visual novel list on Steam and came across 52Hz.
The unique title '52hz', which seemed to hide a story, and the blue and dreamy feeling in the thumbnail, along with the aquarium illustration... It was enough to open my curiosity and wallet, and I remember sharing my screen with a friend on Discord until dawn that day and binge-watching it until the end. (The aquarium illustration with a dreamy feeling often came to my mind during training, so I used it as my profile picture ㅋㅎㅋㅎ)
The protagonist who tries to end his life by giving up his dream for realistic reasons, and Yeonhee who hires such a protagonist.
At first, I thought it was a romance, but after the middle, the direction turned into a suspenseful development, and I became more and more immersed in the story. And the story device of Yeonhee's secret being revealed near the end... I thought, "Ah, this is a really well-made visual novel." The OST that flowed at the end also remained in my memory for quite a long time.
(I think I contributed about 1,000 views..)
Now, two years later, the DLC has been released, but I am also serving in the military for realistic reasons, so it was difficult to play it myself.. Nevertheless, I wanted to see the After Story so much that I borrowed an account from a friend who went on vacation and asked him to share the screen. Fortunately, my friend readily agreed, and I was able to watch the ending of the After Story over two days.
The After Story, which I saw with difficulty, was a work that exceeded expectations. In the work, there is a callback to the main story, "What are you thinking that you are looking at the gift with those eyes?", even the intonation and accent of the voice actor... It was almost the same as the line that came out when I first met Yeonhee in the main story, so I was so happy as soon as I heard it. As a fan, I really like these moments..

Yeonhee and the protagonist's tiki-taka and chemistry were also good. I think it prevented the boredom in the beginning part that could have been boring. I'm sure she's an older sister, but at some point, I was watching with a happy dad smile..
Also, I usually thought that After Story would be a short episode, but this DLC was similar in length to the main story, so it felt like watching another work. Above all, the writer's unique suspenseful development and writing skills were so good that I never lost my immersion while playing, except when my senior talked to me.
I remember seeing the atmosphere change drastically in 3 seconds when the protagonist's condition deteriorated..
In the work, the protagonist shows a blind sacrifice for love and does not bend his will that he is right. However, the self-destructive sacrifice makes us wonder, is the remaining person happy? and it was unique to use his younger self as a medium to awaken this. The only thing that fits the medium that needs to know the protagonist's situation so well and tell the protagonist that he is wrong from an objective point of view is the protagonist himself in another timeline..
Through his own words in the car 2 years ago, he realizes "I only need you!" instead of self-destructive sacrifice.
However, the protagonist's self-destructive sacrifice was not reckless as a result, and through the process of treating the protagonist with Yeonhee's treated cells, the protagonist and Yeonhee once again completed the narrative of salvation for each other. (In the main story, Yeonhee saved the protagonist who lost the meaning of life and was dying, and in After, Yeonhee saved the protagonist who was trying to save Yeonhee who was dying..?)
The process of unraveling the story of the protagonist's dream, which was not covered in the main story, as it progressed to the climax of the story was also impressive. It could have been a somewhat boring development, but I think I was naturally immersed in it because of the expectation of how we would overcome this seemingly impossible situation together while maintaining plausibility.
(I also wondered if I had extinguished the fire of my dream with laziness and realistic rationalization, and I had time to reflect on myself.)
I was happy to hear the ost again in the highlight part of the story. Personally, I wanted it to come out one more time.. I think they saved it for this moment, which will shine the most in After Story, rather than sending it out at the end like the main story.
(I remember being very immersed because I was watching it lying on my bed in the living quarters, so it was similar to the protagonist's point of view ㅋㅎㅋㅎ)
The main story ended with the subtitle 'True Ending' as an open ending, but in the last of After Story, the subtitle 'Happy Ending' finally put an end to the story.. Personally, I really liked this directing.

When I play visual novels, there are often works that leave something to be desired compared to expectations, but 52hz was more than expected from the main story to the after story. It has been a great vitality during my military life, and thanks to it, I have enjoyed playing as a fan and as a user, and I think it will be a work that will remain in my memory for a long time ㅎㅎ

처음 이벤트 미션 보고 뭐야 개꿀인데? 하다가
세이브 파일 공유가 안된다는 사실을 깨닫고 잠깐 절망했으나
솔직히 요즘 뱀서 좀 루즈해져서 잘 손 안대고 있었는데 처음부터 다시 하니까 또 초반에 그 쫄깃했던 맛이 떠올라 다시 달리는 중
나처럼 고인물 마인드에 절여져 내가 이렇게 약했나 당황스러운 사람 + 뱀서를 처음 해보는 사람을 위해 이벤트 공략 들어갑니다
★☆★☆ 무조건 딜. 딜부터 올려라 ★☆★☆
뱀서의 기본은 딜찍누다. 내가 아무리 개쩔컨이어도 몰려오는 적들을 딜로 찍어 누르지 않으면 절대 못깬다.
그러니까 일단은 깡딜을 올릴 수 있는 특성과 무기를 골라서 깨는데 집중해야 된다.
★☆★☆ 강화는 피해량 먼저 찍자 ★☆★☆
뱀서 공략을 보면 강화는 투사체 수가 무조건 먼저고 뭐 행운이 좋고 이런 얘기를 정석처럼 하는데 이건 반은 맞고 반은 틀리다
투사체 수 증가는 좋은 특성은 맞지만, 맨땅에 이거부터 찍으면 개폭망하기 딱좋다.
비비탄은 한발 쏘나 두발 쏘나 사람은 못죽인다.
게다가, 뱀서는 아무리 고인물이라 해도 딜 자체는 강화 특성의 피해량 증가 말고는 올릴 수 있는 방법이 없다. (황금알 제외)
일단 피해량을 다 찍으면 고인물이랑 '딜은' 비슷해진다는 말이다. 그러니까 나중에 환불하고 찍고싶은걸 찍더라도 1스테 깨기 전에는 피해량 증가로 찍어라. 그다음엔 쿨타임, 공격범위처럼 공격 성능에 도움이 되는 강화 위주로 먼저 맞추면 된다.

죽음의 나선은 투사체가 사방으로 퍼져서 운빨 요소가 좀 덜하다. 딜량도 든든하고.
헬파이어는 특정 방향으로만 날아가는게 좀 아쉬워도 딜이 사기 수준이다. 이 두 개가 가장 기본이다.
그다음엔 단검 진화나 룬트 활용 방법이 있는데, 이건 취향이기도 하고 두 개 다 하면 더 좋으니 가급적 집어주자.

공략의 핵심 아이템이다. 둘다 딜량이 미쳐날뛰는데다가 진화에 필요한 보조아이템도 필수다. 무조건 초반에 집고 끝까지 달려라.
특히나 도끼는 초반부 든든한 국밥템이다. 원하는 적에게 딜을 하기도 좋고, 진화 시 사방으로 퍼지기 때문에 딜 손실도 거의 없다.
복제반지는 뽑아서 절대 손해보지 않는 템이다.

28분 이상 극후반에는 아무리 트리를 잘 짜놔도 기도메타다. 이때 단검을 진화해두면 어쨌든 한쪽을 계속 공격해 활로를 뚫을 수 있다.
막판에 좀 후달리겠다 싶을 때 보험 같은 무기다.
천상의검(십자가 진화)이 후반부 딜량은 더 좋지만 클로버가 당장의 생존이나 전투에 별 도움이 안된다. 도끼/불지팡이 위주로 올리다가 템 몇 개 정도 없어도 되겠다 싶을때 차근차근 맞춰주면 좋다.
룬트는 복제반지 + 빈책 + 주문속박기 3종 세트를 다 모았으면 뽑자. 맵 중간중간 뒤주가 있는데, 룬트 투사체가 이 안에서만 튕겨서 극후반에도 애들이 못들어온다.
이미지 중간에 보면 룬트가 미친듯이 튀기는게 보이는데, 이게 그거다.

얘네는 나쁘진 않은데 초반에는 애매하다. 특히 성서는 초반에 무난하게 진화시키면 미친 딜량이 나오지만 그 전에는 좀 많이 아쉽다.
비둘기 형제도 마찬가지. 단일 무기로는 어딘가 나사빠진 성능이어서 나중에 레벨도 팍팍 오르고 할 때야 좋지만 1스테이지도 못깨서 하닥거릴땐 솔직히 계륵이다.
마늘은 아주아주 극초반엔 와 개쩌는데? 할 수 있는데 8렙을 찍고 진화를 해도 25분 넘어가면 별 쓸모가 없다. 극후반엔 도움이 안되는 템.
★☆★☆ 캐릭터는 아르카 추천 ★☆★☆
불지팡이를 기본 무기로 사용하는데다가 쿨타임도 줄여주니 일석이조.
