hello everyone!
This is Stove Crew 1st Generation member Lee Ae-kyung, back after almost a month.
Personally, I had so much fun with the Crew Day team play this April,,, that I played all the games but ended up writing a review late.
I'll write the overdue review soon🫡
This time, we prepared it with really delicious domestic indie peaches . (Almost like Chiaksan peach sugar level is the best)
I happened to pick this game, but I had so much fun playing it that I checked several times to see if anyone had already written a review👀
It's such a fun game😎
So, are you ready to run with our high-performance battery , ‘Rapunzel’ ?
Let's go~!~!
.
.
.
Game Introduction 💫
title Galaxy Tales: The Story of Rapunzel Genre Platformer originator IKINAGAMES & NANALISTUDIOS Release date 2022.08.09 (Stove) price ₩ 15,500Galaxy Tales: Stories of Tangled was given away for free during the Spring Sale in March 2025!! It's a game that's been out for a while, but judging from the recent event, I think it's a game that the developer is still actively promoting!
Story🛸
Here is the Jimu Research Institute somewhere in space. A Jimu researcher(?) named 'Rose' suddenly feels an earthquake in her shelter and evacuates. (Save Jimu~!)
During the evacuation, they discover an android named 'Rapunzel' trapped in a capsule in a laboratory. The moment Rose discovers Rapunzel, the capsule she was in breaks and Rose is released into the world. (Save Jimu~! 2)
As the name suggests, he boasts of having a huge head of hair.
That's how our Rapunzel came into the world... Her special fiber hair is impressive. It's said to be a high-performance android-type battery with an EH engine that can run for a whopping 20,000 years(!) . Jimu and Rapunzel, who met like that, fight against space pirates together and escape the shelter.
.
.
.
As the name 'Galaxy Tales' suggests, this game has a truly fairy tale-like story.
It was as if the story started from the imagination of what it would have been like if Rapunzel had been born in space N million years later.
Another feature of this game is that it was serialized in a webtoon . It has a total of 20 episodes and shows the story of 'Rose' and 'Rapunzel' escaping from the shelter. It's official...! It's not that long, but it helped me understand the worldview a little more deeply. Meet the friendship story of Rose and Rapunzel in the webtoon👇
▶︎ Go see the Galaxy Tales: Story of Rapunzel Worldview webtoon ◀︎
How to operate🎮
Arrow keys movement Z Hanging hair X Jump (X, X double jump) C dashUse the Z, X, C keys on your keyboard and the arrow keys! The keys alone may seem simple, but there are many different types of hooks you can hang your hair on, and the terrain varies from world to world, allowing for a variety of gameplay.
New action created by special fiber hair💇♀️
Rapunzel's hair is said to be made of special fibers. So it can be freely stretched, hung, and thrown. This hair action is the core fun of the game. There are rings where you can hang your hair all over the game. You can use these rings to break through the map.
Normal Ring: Fly Rapunzel in a set direction.
Opposite Hook: Fly Rapunzel in the opposite direction of her head.
Red Ring: Fly Rapunzel in a set direction until she hits a wall.
There are three types of rings: the ' regular ring' that flips Rapunzel in a certain direction, the 'reverse ring' that flips her hair in the opposite direction, and the 'red ring' that flies Rapunzel until she hits a wall. (All the names of the rings are mine for illustrative purposes and are not official names.)
Graphics reminiscent of Cartoon Network🎨
The first impression of the game was like watching a Cartoon Network animation. The bright and refreshing colors and unique character designs were like watching Powerpuff Girls. The animation was also very smooth and the speed was great, so I was able to play it comfortably. However, I also thought it would be nice if there was a dark mode because it was too bright for my eyes to play in a dark environment...lol (Rapunzel glowing)
Cool action 💨
When playing the game, you will occasionally see action scenes where you get caught in a red ring and fly away. It seems to have been designed using enemies and devices on the map. It is a bit thrilling to break through enemies without the player's effort, and even though the score is accumulated in a short time. It seems like they put a lot of effort into the production!!
Physical⌨️ + Brain🧠 = Delicious!
(Platformer game feature) You end up cursing your own fingers lol
The graphics are cute and it's a common platformer genre, so you might think it's a game for kids. Absolutely not. No, it's a game that requires a lot of brain power and using the terrain.
WA! Rapunzel! You know, it's really scary. It's hard.
Basically, as it is a platformer genre, a considerable level of physical skill is required. The graphics are cute, but the difficulty level becomes less cute(?) as you progress, such as jumping with precision on the platform, catching hair at the exact timing, and avoiding attacks. In particular, you have to be good at calculating the flying angle of the opposite ring...!
This is what happens when you miscalculate an angle (ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Eww
In terms of the brain , there are puzzles that utilize gimmicks used in each world. For example, in World 2, you push blocks with force to move forward. There are also maps where you have to move blocks in the right order to move forward, and in boss battles, you push these blocks to attack the boss.
How do I push the blocks?
World 6 is an openly brain-based map where you have to solve puzzles by pressing security devices on the map. (+ Physical gimmicks accumulated up to World 6 are a bonus.)
What should I press to open the door?
So if you thought it was a game for kids just by looking at the graphics!! You're very wrong...
It’s a physical + mental difficulty level that’s so fun even for adults!!
7 worlds, 7 gimmicks🌈
This game consists of a total of 7 worlds . Each world has its own unique character, so it was fun to play. Starting from escaping the Jimu Research Institute, passing through the secret area, warehouse, factory, steel mill, and security area in the shelter, and all the way to the first floor! A variety of worlds await you. With only 4 stages per world, it may seem short, but each stage is quite long, so the play time is long. I played it all the way through, and it took about 8~9 hours.
The gimmicks used in each world also change. World 2 is block pushing, World 3 is a pushing platform, World 4 is a warp, etc. New gimmicks are added each time you enter a new world. Since all the gimmicks that came before are mixed together, the difficulty naturally increases as you go.
I really cried while playing the last world, World 7. World 7 utilizes all the gimmicks from before + is a jar game ... The main gimmick is to go up against the descending platforms, but I cried every time I fell due to a control mistake. I really wanted to attach this as a videoㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ ㅠㅜㅠ It's a good thing I didn't record the mic at the same time^_^ (Mom Gorani played the game)
A boss battle that reflects the characteristics of the world well🤖
World 4 Boss: As this is a world where warp is a feature, the boss is sent flying by warp to deal damage.
Bosses are space pirates, or the security system of a hacked shelter. The boss battles are well-organized so that you can use the gimmicks you learned in each world! For example, the boss in World 2, which features block pushing , attacks the boss by pushing blocks on the map. The boss in World 4, which features warp , is sent flying by warp to damage it.
Actually, physical is the most important... kekekekeke The controls for moving to catch or avoid the boss are more difficult. However, if you just figure out the pattern well, it's a level of difficulty that you can clear~!
The boss's name seems to be written down as Rapunzel saw the boss and felt the impression. The boss's name is "Jingle Jingle~", "Totally big! Rudolph!", etc. You can see how the boss looks from Rapunzel's perspective. (So cute)
Rich additional content🕹️
Rapunzel (prototype?)
There are 5 'disks' in each stage. If you collect all of these disks, you can see one memory in each stage. These disks are hidden in some pretty tasty places, so it's fun to find them. They're inside walls that you pass by without thinking, or in places that you have to use jumping techniques to get to. It's fun to challenge yourself to eat them. It seems like the planner really knows platformers well!! I gave up on collecting them all because the difficulty level gets harder as you go on,,,
It's just a one-page memory, but since Rapunzel's true identity (?) isn't really revealed in the main storyline, it's an element that makes me want to collect them all. I really want to collect them all!
Also, after finishing the final boss battle, you can play ' Hard Mode' and ' Mini Game' !! In fact, there isn't much to enjoy in this type of platformer game once you finish it, but I liked that there was Hard Mode and Mini Game added even after seeing the ending. It really made me wonder if I paid for the DLC!! I thought it was a game that I could play for a long time than I thought. But actually, after playing 7 World, I wonder if it can be more difficult here... (Fractured fingers warning)
Positive, cheerful, and quirky Rapunzel🤩
A picture that shows their relationship well
Our high-performance battery android, Rapunzel, has a unique way of thinking, just like her hair. Thanks to this, you can feel a cheerful and lively atmosphere throughout the adventure. Rose always feels anxious, thinking, “What if I break this while escaping the shelter? What happened to everyone?” Every time that happens, Rapunzel blows away that gloomy atmosphere with nonsense(?). Of course, it feels like she’s talking without knowing anything about the world(?), but I felt like I gained strength while playing the game with this kind of forced positivity😘
Full Korean dubbing for greater immersion🇰🇷
This game is fully dubbed in Korean!! ! The conversation between Rose and Rapunzel before the start of the stage is fully dubbed... That's why the immersion is even better. Rapunzel is twice as cute. Aside from the cutscenes, the sound of Rapunzel going "Hoit! Hoit! Yip!" whenever she jumps is also so cute. (Ouch! It makes me sad when I hear that sound) It's not common for platformer games to have Korean dubbing, but it's definitely nice that it's dubbed. It's really a great game...
finish
Battery (Humanoid) I don't know why, but this line was the funniest.
Those of you who have read this far will probably feel that I have a lot to say about this game, lol
Thank you for your hard work in reading this long article,,,
After writing this, I feel so sad...
But you can really feel that it was fun haha
Galaxy Tales: Story of Tangled was fun in every way, from the story to the gimmicks, graphics, content, and sound!
Meet 'Galaxy Tales: Story of the Tangled' in the STOVE store right now!
💫 Go to Galaxy Tales: Story of the Rapunzel store page 🚀
Occasional judgment errors
There were really rare times when I would jump but not land, or when I was within a distance where I could trip hair but it didn't. It was really rare, but since it's a platformer, if there's a judgment error, it feels incredibly absurd lol (possible to become possessed by a gopher)(AGAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) That was the only downside.
Caution with photosensitivity?
I don't have photosensitivity syndrome, so it didn't really bother me. There were no precautions when starting, but I think that people with photosensitivity syndrome need to be careful because the graphics are bright and there are a lot of effects. Please keep that in mind when playing!
Lack of accessibility options
This is related to photosensitivity, but it seems that there is no separate option for accessibility support. I didn't feel much of it in other maps, but in the case of World 2, it seems that people with red-green color vision deficiency will be unable to tell the difference!! I think it would be good if the game becomes more exciting and accessibility options for color blindness, photosensitivity, etc. are added.
~ Highly subjective rating ~
fun ★★★★ ★ Difficulty ★★★★ ★ Story ★★★★ ★ Graphics ★★★★ ★ Total score ★★★★ ★I'll find more fun domestic indie songs and bring them back~~

Hello, this is CALLA.
Here are the '4 Indie Game Demos of April' that we'll be introducing this month.
Luna Hop (Arumdamda Media Lab) Dating in the corner of the room (Dating Duo) Cash Curator (CCL6_Cash Curator) Welcome to the Hunter's Guild (Cheonhataepyeong, Sand Grain, Heedongi)All of the selected demos are ones that caught my interest in at least one aspect of the concept or synopsis, and I chose them based purely on my own taste criteria.
Luna Hop (Luna Hop)
Beautiful Media Lab
Luna Hop is a 3D third-person healing platform adventure game currently under development by Areumdamda Media Lab , based on the children's book 'Moon Rabbit' by author Choi Young-ah .
Players become a cute rabbit character who roams a world that has lost its light, restoring its unique colors one by one.
This little, adorable bunny loved the night sky and enjoyed looking up at the stars and moon and eating a peaceful snack.
Although the city lights are so bright that it can be difficult to find stars in the night sky, let's put that scientific fact aside for a moment.
Luna Hop is a beautiful piece of work, full of fairy-tale imagination and stars that fill the night sky .
Then one day, the rabbit witnesses a large comet crashing into the moon.
And at that moment, the world loses all light.
All living things, as well as non-living things, lose their unique colors, and the world becomes a black and white world, like a silent film.
A little rabbit who had never left the rooftop in his entire life picks up a piece of the moon on the rooftop where he was staying.
And soon, they realize that the piece of moon can return its original color to a world that has lost its light.
And so the rabbit's journey begins.
A journey to restore color to a world that has lost its light.
In the currently open demo version, you can play the 'Rooftop' and 'Cheonggyecheon' areas corresponding to 'Chapter 1'.
The number of objects that need to be restored to color is displayed in the upper left corner of the game screen, and the chapter progress time is displayed in the upper right corner.
There are no separate time limits or level evaluation elements, so you can play comfortably without being constrained by time.
Based on the currently released trial version,
The camera change for the direction the character is looking is not designed to be controlled directly by the player, but rather happens automatically when passing through certain points in the game, so the unfamiliar viewpoint change may feel somewhat uncomfortable.
Although there are some regrettable aspects, the beautiful music and warm emotions reminiscent of a fairy tale completely fill the player's journey with healing.
Familiar and friendly locations, such as ‘Rooftop Views of Korean Houses’ or ‘Cheonggyecheon Stream’, help players immerse themselves more deeply into the work.
Explore a world where color has disappeared and collect the broken pieces of the moon scattered throughout.
This is 'Luna Hop', an adventure game that sings of healing and hope, whose official release is highly anticipated.
Dating in the corner of the room
Love Duo
Dating in the Corner of the Room is a 2D first-person visual novel dating simulation game currently in development by 'Dating Duo' .
However, this work has clear differences from existing dating simulations.
Have you ever thought about this at least once?
'In this situation, I would have said and done this, but why don't I have a choice like my heart?'
Or
It's something like, 'Can't I answer honestly in my own style, rather than making choices to suit the other person's feelings?'
This game is a customized dating simulation game that makes those players' wishes come true.
'Love in the Corner' doesn't follow the typical 'choice' style of progression.
This is because it is equipped with an AI system, allowing players to have real-time conversations with the target character .
If you feel that having one-on-one conversations with AI is too much of a hassle, you can also use the ‘automatic response system.’
However, if you're going to do it, it's much more realistic and immersive to speak in your own style and build rapport with the character rather than relying on automated responses.
Depending on how the player asks and answers questions, the target's favorability rating will rise or fall by as little as 2 points and as much as 10 points.
Observing the character's reactions that change depending on each answer is a unique fun part of this work.
Before starting the game, players can set the name and gender of their protagonist.
However, the game's basic setting seems to consist of a 'male protagonist' and a 'female target.'
Because of this, even if the player chooses the protagonist's gender as 'female' and proceeds with the game, there are often scenes where the target character is referred to as 'her' instead of 'he', which leaves something to be desired.
The trial version lets you experience four scenarios, each with a different personality.
Each scenario is as follows:
A school story with a tsundere character as the main character A modern fantasy with a character with a warm personality. Romance with a YouTuber whose main character is a sanguine character Office romance with an obsessive bossWhen the player's gender was set to 'female', the male protagonists of each scenario were captured in one cut.
From left to right, they are a tsundere, a sweet guy, a virtual YouTuber, and an obsessive character.
All backgrounds and art used in the work were generated through AI.
The character's expressions and movements aren't very colorful, but the overall art quality is decent.
Each scenario consists of a total of 9 locations and scenes, and after completing all 9 scenes, you can see the ending that varies depending on your affection level.
Perhaps it's because of my experience playing a lot of dating simulations ( ...),
I was able to achieve 100 affection levels for all four characters in the first playthrough and see the happy ending.
It doesn't have the smooth development or deep narrative of existing dating simulation games that are centered around choices, but it is refreshingly fun because you can directly converse with AI characters and test your 'love skills(?)'.
There are no separate event illustrations or ending illustrations, and the trial version does not provide a save function, so once you start playing, we recommend that you continue all the way to the ending.
Cash Curator
CCL6_Cash Curator
Cash Curator is a 2D first-person loan review simulator game currently in development by 'CCL6_Cash Curator' .
The player becomes a loan officer working at a bank and is tasked with reviewing 10 customers who have applied for loans.
Unlike other simulator games of the same genre that require you to complete tasks or evaluations within a limited time, there is no time limit in this game.
Therefore, players can slowly and carefully review each document submitted by the loan applicant and proceed with the review.
The loan review process is broadly conducted in the following manner :
Whether the loan applicant has submitted all required documents There are no issues with your employment history or credit score. Whether the loan amount applied for meets the criteria Are there any other loan requirements that are not met?As mentioned earlier, there is no time limit in this game, so players can proceed with the review at their leisure.
However, in order to make a proper evaluation, you need to have basic knowledge related to real estate loans as well as the ability to use a calculator to make an accurate judgment .
For example, in this situation, the loan application amount is greater than the deposit, so the loan is not possible.
Well then, shall we take a look at this loan this time?
The loan limit is up to 80% of the deposit.
Since the deposit for the entire lease is 550 million won, the maximum loan limit is 440 million won.
Since the loan application amount is 350 million won, it satisfies the screening criteria.
However, there is a mortgage of 750 million won on this house.
Adding the loan application amount of 350 million won and the collateral of 750 million won, the total is 1.1 billion won.
Since this exceeds the market value of the house, which is 810 million won, this loan application should be rejected due to excess collateral value.
Should we look at another case?
For this loan, there are more things to consider than for other loans.
Your identity and employment status have been verified, and all necessary documents and application forms for a loan are available.
But since there are so many numbers here and there, my head hurts a little.
Because of things like ‘adjusted area LTV 60%’ and ‘DTI 37.91%’.
The game doesn't explain these concepts at all.
Did you assume that the player would know this?
At first, it was unfamiliar to me.
Only after getting help from Chat GPT did I understand that 'Adjusted Area LTV 60%' means that the loan can only be made up to 60% of the market price of the house.
'DTI 37.91%' stands for 'total debt service ratio', but to explain this part, we need to consider things like interest rates and maturity periods, so I'll skip it for now.
In this way, 'Cash Curator' is a work that allows you to slowly and calmly proceed with a total of 10 loan screenings from the perspective of a loan application processor.
If you're going to argue about whether it's 'fun or not', it's definitely fun, but at the same time, it tends to give you a bit of a headache. 😂
As it deals with housing-related loan applications, the amount of money that appears in the game is large, and unfamiliar financial terms such as ‘adjusted area LTV’, ‘unadjusted area LTV’, and ‘DTI’ also appear frequently.
However, the game does not provide any explanation as to what these terms mean or how the collateral amount affects the loan.
Of course, you can also play the game by guessing.
But if you play like that, the fun of analyzing and judging accurately will inevitably decrease.
With some explanation of these core concepts in the form of tutorials or tips, I think Cash Curator could evolve from being a simple simulator to a great educational game to learn about the real estate lending system.
Welcome to the Hunter's Guild
Peace in the world, a grain of sand, Heedong
Welcome to the Hunter Guild is a first-person simulation RPG currently being developed by three developers: Cheonha Tae-pyeong, Moraehanal, and Heedong-i .
Although it is labeled as an RPG, players do not directly participate in combat in this game.
Battles proceed automatically, and players go through the preparation process before entering the dungeon.
The game begins in a village, and there are four locations the player can visit.
In the Hunter Guild , you can accept quests, change background music, and use guild functions.
At Hill Station , you can pay a certain amount of money and receive a type of protective shield called the 'Unknown 1-time Absorption Buff'.
In the Trade Corner , you can buy healing potions and records that can be used to replace background music.
At Handyworks , you can strengthen your weapons and armor.
There is no separate cost for strengthening weapons and armor, and they can be strengthened as you complete quests.
Reinforcement is possible up to a total of 4 stages , and after reaching stage 4, the NPC will inform you that there is nothing more to reinforce.
The only dungeon you can challenge in the trial version is the 'Goblin Dungeon', and the dungeon consists of two floors (B1F, B2F).
At the beginning of the game, you can only conquer the first basement floor, but depending on your quest progress, you can challenge the second basement floor.
As mentioned at the beginning, all battles are automatic.
However, the battle scenes are slow, lacking in tension, and lack the ability to skip, making them the most boring part of the game.
If your health drops during battle and you feel your life is in danger, you can use a healing potion or return to town immediately after the battle ends to recover your HP and then return to the dungeon to continue exploring.
Since the structure is such that you only need to acquire a certain number of quest items rather than gradually conquering the dungeon, there is no need to force yourself if your stamina is low.
It is much more efficient to safely return to town, recover HP, and then re-enter the dungeon.
Overall, I still feel like there are many shortcomings.
Among the functions of the 'Hunter Guild', the 'Quest' and 'Record Exchange' menus were not implemented yet, and in the 'Trade Corner' where healing potions were sold, there was no menu to return to the previous screen after purchasing a potion, so the game had to be forcibly closed.
Considering that it is a trial version, it is understandable that there are fewer quests and only one dungeon to conquer.
But the battles were boring, and the preparations for battle in the village weren't very fun.
Also, the character 'Ryuumi' who carries out the battle is identical to 'Ember' from another game 'Genshin Impact', so there are questions about whether this is okay from a copyright perspective.
I don't think the concept itself is bad.
However, there is currently a significant lack of content for players to enjoy within the game.
In addition, although three characters appear in the title illustration, their roles or personalities are not revealed at all in the game.
Also, the trial version did not have any character growth elements or training systems implemented, so it did not feel fun as a strategy simulation, nor did it have any appeal as an RPG.
Overall, this work is not intended to be a 'commercial release' or 'full commercialization',
It feels like a prototype or pilot project being made by three gamers who love games with the passion of 'wanting to make a game at least once', or as part of a class assignment.
That concludes ‘April’s Pick!’
The process of selecting the trial versions to introduce through 'Pick of the Month!' every month gives me a small thrill, like opening a 'trial lucky box.'
When comparing the expectations before playing and the feelings after playing, sometimes the level of satisfaction with the work is higher than expected, sometimes it is as expected, and sometimes it is lower than expected.
Just imagining what new experiences and fun things will come next month makes my heart flutter.
We're already halfway through April.
Please take care of your health during these changing seasons with large daily temperature differences, and enjoy the rest of April and have a pleasant day!🍀
They say that I Only Level Up Season 2 was the most popular in the West.
On YouTube, each famous scene gets millions of views.
As someone who has read the entire webtoon, I think it's fortunate that the action scenes were chosen so well.
We'll have to wait a long time for the next 3rd season to come out
말 그대로 인디이지만..... 뭔가 아쉽다..
