Hello. This is Seon-ah.
I'm going to write about what I felt after playing Star Fire: Eternal Cycle.
Everyone may feel differently, so I think it would be good to just keep it in mind.
Please understand that there may be some spoilers.
Advantages
1. Enjoyable hitting sensation
You can definitely feel that you are attacking when fighting the enemy.
It is definitely more attractive when using melee weapons than ranged weapons.
The stage system has a moderate amount of mobs, so it's refreshing.
2. Various costumes
There are 8 types of weapons and 13 types of costumes, so the gameplay is more diverse than you might think.
Each weapon has different special effects, so the difference depends on how you use it.
3. Detailed explanation
There are quite a variety of skills, so we have added detailed explanations to all the parts that are difficult to understand if you just use proper nouns.
The initial barrier to entry is low because you can follow the explanation if you don't understand something.
4. Combination synergy
Combines various items to create different effects.
The effect is small until you collect 2 to 5 parts, but the effect is really good when you collect them all.
You can also grow one core up to 6, and you can also use 4 cores based on all upgrades to use the binding effect, which is good because the gameplay changes a lot.
Cores are divided into general and exclusive, with general cores having skills tailored to the core's attributes, and exclusive cores adding effects to weapons.
The way you play changes greatly depending on how you combine them.
Disadvantages
1. Discriminated weapons
Most ranged weapon attacks do not have a large knockback on the enemy, or the attack range is wide on the X axis and narrow on the Y axis.
The Y-axis attack range is much larger than the X-axis attack, so it is disadvantageous in most battles.
There is also the ridiculously OP weapon 'Golden Axe', so the difference is so great that I wonder if you really need other weapons.
2. Evasion judgment
Evasion judgment varies depending on the direction of the enemy's attack.
You must evade in the direction of the attack to avoid damage, and you will not avoid damage if you evade in the direction of escape.
It's okay if the attacking direction is in one place, but it's not easy to avoid if attacks come from multiple directions.
3. Hiding enemy
I don't care about other enemies, but the hiding enemies are really absurd.
Attacks sometimes come from outside the screen, and sometimes they don't come out for about a minute when they hide.
Unreasonable attack patterns are concentrated on them, and they also deal the highest damage.
TIPS
It's better to use the 'Golden Axe' instead of other weapons because the judgment is good and the options are the best.
For character upgrades, it is better to raise core slots, experience, and refresh first.
Skins can be enhanced up to level 4, and can be transformed and used in the desired appearance.
You can set up more options than you think.
Review
The character came out better than I thought.
It feels close to the 3D-like 'Dungeon & Fighter', and I feel like I'm playing a different character depending on the weapon and core.
However, it's a shame that no matter what weapon you use, you can only use the 'Golden Axe'.
The [Loot] effect is so good compared to any other option, and you can buy various relics cheaply at the store.
Still, it surprisingly has a story, and the contents of the story are revealed through memory fragments, so it's subtly fun to collect them.
If you want to play a roguelike + side-scrolling game, I highly recommend it.

Advantages
1. Number Play
You can enjoy addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division at the difficulty you want.
It's like the savory taste of Hancom Typing Practice's Acid Rain.
2. Unexpected Stack
You can stack up to 5 stacks to create a combo.
Surprisingly, this part has a sense of hitting, so it's less bland.
3. Difficulty Adjustment
The difficulty is no joke.
There are three levels: Easy, Normal, and Hard.
Hard is a difficulty that requires you to turn on a calculator next to you, but Easy is a good difficulty for children who are studying numbers for the first time.
The difficulty of father's love is very difficult.
Disadvantages
1. Many Bugs
The Stove release is at the end of 2025, but the actual game version is stuck in August 2021.
There are many bugs, such as bugs where the mobs stop coming down and bugs where the stage does not advance.
2. Number Pad
I think they made the number pad not work to make it possible on the controller.
Honestly, even for 1-2 digit numbers, my fingers are very busy when stacking 5 stacks, so I wonder if this is really okay.
I think there should have been an option to support entering number keys with the keyboard.
TIPS
I heard that the father made it to teach his three daughters how to study numbers, but the difficulty is really mind-blowing.
Sometimes there is a phenomenon where the stage does not advance due to a bug. If the mob's image is not displayed on the top, you can enter any number to proceed.
If the stage itself really doesn't advance, you have to turn it off and on again.

I'm curious to know how far you've cleared on Hard difficulty.
I wonder if it's possible to play to the ending with mental arithmetic.
Of course, if you do it on Easy, it's at the level of studying for children, so it's not really difficult.
However, I'm very disappointed that there is no option to create stacks by typing numbers on the keyboard and that there are bugs that prevent the stage from progressing.
I recommend it to those who need brain stretching with arithmetic operations or those who have young children.
