I don't understand why Makpi is letting go

In the game Joseon Swordsman, once you accumulate a certain number of PKs, you are sent to a prison called Yubeji, where you have to pick up trash and throw it in an incinerator to escape. This also has to be done manually, which is incredibly annoying and takes a long time. As your PKs accumulate, it takes even longer. The system is such that you have to eat tofu to lower your PKs.

If there was a system where the auto function was removed and the people I blocked had a high welcome level and had to manually remove the welcome to escape, wouldn't the blocking be a little less painful?
