I really hate turn-based games and haven't played them in a long time, but I really acknowledge the 33rd Expedition
The background itself is dreamy, the BGM is good, and the turn-based system isn't boring. There are parrying and evasion, so the sense of hitting and the hand feel show that this is what a game is.
It's Unreal Engine 5, but the optimization is really good. No matter how well you make a game, if the optimization is bad, it means that the internal system or code itself isn't well-written, so it's right to see it as a poorly made game. Even if you hate turn-based games, this game is a hexagon.
On top of that, they even had a thank-you update a few hours ago.

Hello, I've been itching to know how Epiphany triggers work on cards for a while now, and I'd like to gather some opinions/feelings on it.
Here's a small example to illustrate: I did two Chaos Event runs, Tier 14, level 8, Nightmare mode. The first one went very well. I did a passing run with a mix of events and combat, no Dimensional Portals, and few camps. Around node 28/34 I had already unlocked all the epiphanies on all my unique cards on all my agents, with the exception of one card. I only took one neutral card for my Tressa , a gear bag (which also had its epiphany, by the way).No other neutral cards on the other characters. The run was enjoyable and ended well.
I have a suboptimal Epiphany on one card, so I decided to run again to try and improve the deck a bit. I did exactly the same thing, Tier 14, level 8, Nightmare mode, the same mix of events/combat, few camps, no Dimensional Portals, and this time I finished my run with this:
No Epiphany on 3 of my unique cards with Tressa... I've been running around since the beginning of the run with Tressa's "Curse" card, I unlocked "Shadow Reload" very, very early, how can I complete an entire run this time without any of these cards triggering Epiphany? (And I'm not even talking about Vital Attack or the neutral one) .How is this possible? How did you code the Epiphany procs? I don't understand how it can be so inconsistent at times. Let's be clear, the run wasn't terrible, but I'm really curious to know if this inconsistency with Epiphany procs is intentional.
And of course, yes, it's a Rogue Lite, and I completely understand and really appreciate the replayability for building decks. I love the unexpected Divine Epiphany procs, the thrill of finding a rare event/item,Cthulhu etc., but I don't know, something doesn't seem "normal" to me about not trigger Epiphany at all on any unique base card for an entire run, especially when it's the one given at the start of the run.
And you? Does this seem perfectly in line with the gameplay, or do you find it strange like me?
