I'm on Olan Server 2, and they're saying if you get PKed by them and report the PK guild, they'll mediate, but if you don't, they'll keep killing you.
I thought the #1 guild on the server would mediate, but that wasn't the case either.
The old guys running auto-battle are getting killed for no reason.

What does everyone think of Fei?
In my own opinion, I love her playstyle. It feels simplistic but, its just so fun to play. Its hard to decide if i want to make the build around her "Flame arts" ability or her "Decent" for the Heaven fall. So, im just going to do both. I was hoping for a Striker class, Aswell as an Instinct/Order attribute but I love Void combatants.

다소 거친 표현의 그래픽과 음악을 통해 얻는 원초적인 쾌감을 강점으로 내세우는 스틸 맨티스의 2D 플랫포머 액션 게임 '발파리스'가 스토브에 입점했다.
발파리스는 사방팔방 피와 살점이 계속 흐르고 심장을 울리는 강렬한 비트의 헤비메탈을 들으며 매 순간이 그로테스크한 화면과 함께 적을 때려 부스는 런앤건 장르다. 동시에 장르 특성상 어려운 게임임에도 수 많은 세이브 포인트를 통해 외형에 적응만 한다면 장르 입문용으로도 손색이 없는 게임이다.
플레이어는 아버지가 죗값을 치르게 해주겠다며 행성 발파리스를 방문한 '테리온'이 되어 도대체 행성을 비운 사이에 무슨 일이 일어났는지 궁금해지는 혼란 속에서 미지의 적을 상대로 무쌍을 찍어나가게 된다.

게임 진행 방식은 일반적인 런앤건 장르와 같이 발판 위를 뛰어다니며 사방팔방에서 나타나는 적을 베고 쏴 해치우며 앞으로 전진하는 방식이다. 문제는 등장하는 적들의 생김새가 심상치 않다는 것, 어딘가 뒤틀린 외형의 적과 사망 연출은 도트로 표현되었지만 충분히 고어함을 느끼게 한다.
그렇다고 캐릭터의 상태가 정상이냐면 그렇지 않다. 게임 진행 중 새로운 무기를 얻을 때마다 마치 기타 연주하듯 무기를 잡고 헤드뱅잉을 하는데 배경음부터 시종일관 헤비메탈 음악이 나오는 것을 포함해 주인공의 상태도 그리 썩 정상 범주는 아닌 거 같이 느껴진다.

이런 게임 분위기 속 전투를 위한 조작은 크게 복잡하지 않다. 캐릭터는 총 두 가지 발사체 무기(피스톨, 디스트로이어)와 근접 무기, 방패를 사용할 수 있다. 이동과 점프를 통해 발판을 가로지르며 상황에 맞춰 무기를 사용해 적을 난도질하면 된다.
물론 무기 별로 강한 정도의 차이는 있다 보통은 근접 무기가 적의 공격에 쉽게 노출됨을 감안해 발사체 무기보다 월등히 강력하다. 일종의 리스크에 대한 보상인 셈이다.
발사체 무기는 또다시 피스톨과 디스트로이어로 나뉜다. 디스트로이어는 적을 죽이거나 근접 무기로 적을 맞출 때 얻을 수 있는 에너지를 모아야만 사용할 수 있는 대신 화력을 집중할 때는 근접 무기와 엇비슷한 공격력을 보여준다. 피스톨은 아무런 조건 없이 사용할 수 있는 만큼 공격력이 현저히 낮으나 원거리 공격의 장점을 살려 에너지를 아끼면서 전투를 해야 할 때 유용하다.

이런 류의 게임이 그렇듯 발파리스 또한 높은 난이도를 자랑한다. 이를 보완하기 위한 캐릭터 육성 요소인 '블러드 메탈'과 세이브포인트 기능을 하는 '부활의 제단'이 있다.
블러드 메탈은 게임 진행 중 얻을 수 있는 각종 무기를 강화할 수 있는 재료다. 총 4단계까지 강화할 수 있는 무기는 강화할 때마다 공격력이 점차 강해지며 단계별로 범위 증가는 물론 새로운 기능이 추가되는 등 좀 더 적에게 쉽게 대응할 수 있게 해준다.

부활의 제단은 스테이지 주요 지점마다 있으며 마찬가지로 게임 진행 중 얻을 수 있는 부활의 우상을 모아 활성화시킬 수 있다. 이때 체력과 에너지를 완전히 회복시켜줌과 동시에 세이브포인트로 작동해 런앤건 장르에 익숙하지 않아도 반복플레이를 통해 어떻게 행동해야 할지 학습하며 플레이할 수 있게 해준다.
또한, 한 스테이지가 끝나면 가지고 있던 부활의 우상을 모두 블러드 메탈로 맞교환할 수 있는 기능이 있어 어려운 도전에 대한 보상을 제공해 주고 있다. 따라서 모든 세이브포인트를 활성화 시키기 보다는 적당히 우상을 모아 장비 업그레이드에 활용하는 것이 좋다.
부활의 우상과 블러드 메탈은 스테이지를 진행하면서 자연스럽게 얻을 수 있는 경우도 있지만 숨겨진 길이나 쉽게 도달하기 힘든 위치에 있는 경우가 많으며 블러드 메탈은 거의 대부분이 이런 위치에 있다. 물론 한 번 먹은 위치에 다시 생기진 않으니 생존, 진행과 수집을 동시에 하기 어려우면 세이브포인트를 활용해 수집한 다음 바로 죽고 다시 살아나는 방식으로 풀어나갈 수도 있다.

종합해보면 발파리스는 겉으로 보기엔 매우 거칠고 하드코어한 그래픽과 사운드로 플레이어를 압도하지만 매우 친절하게 배치되어 있는 세이브포인트를 통해 오히려 어려운 난이도의 런앤건 장르에 입문하기 위한 게임으로 적합할 정도로 친절한 게임이다.
살점이 널부려져있는 고어와 그로테스크함 또한 도트로 구현되어 있어 깊이 들여다보지 않으면 파악하기 힘들 정도로 전투 흐름이 빠른 발파리스에선 적응할만한 수준이다.
물론 고어에 거부감을 느끼는 강도는 사람마다 다른 만큼 이 정도 수준조차 받아들이기 힘들 수도 있다. 하지만 약간의 허들만 넘는다면 가슴을 전율케 하는 강렬한 비트의 헤비메탈 음악과 함께 적을 찢어발기는 짜릿한 런앤건 장르를 쉽게 즐길 수 있을 것이다.
