원작 웹툰과 드라마로 워낙 큰 사랑을 받은 작품이라 기대를 품고 플레이해봤는데, 기대했던 만큼 몰입감이 훌륭해서 크게 만족스러웠습니다.
보통의 좀비 아포칼립스 게임들이 '힘, 싸움, 승리'에 집중한다면, 이 작품은 우정, 사랑, 그리고 희생에 초점을 두고 스토리가 진행됩니다. 학교라는 제한된 공간 속에서 친구들과 나누는 관계성, 그리고 서로를 지키기 위한 감정선이 이야기의 중심이 됩니다.
제 마음을 흔들었던 부분은 '희생'의 요소였는데, 누군가 희생하는 장면이 나오는 시점부터 등장인물에 완전히 감정 이입했던 거 같습니다. 더불어 나라면 같은 상황에 닥쳤을 때 저런 선택을 할 수 있을까를 되묻게 되는 순간들이 많았습니다.
또한 이 작품의 완성도를 한층 더 끌어올려 준 것은 성우들의 뛰어난 연기였습니다. 대사를 빠르게 넘기기 아까울 정도로 더빙 퀄리티가 뛰어났고, 정적인 일러스트 연출 속에서도 생생한 더빙 덕분에 깊은 감정을 전달받을 수 있었습니다.
단순히 감염자를 처치하는 스토리를 기대하셨다면 조금 다르게 느껴질 수 있지만, 선택지에 따라 달라지는 스토리와 인물들의 감정선을 좋아하신다면 200% 만족할 만한 작품입니다. (저는 게임을 플레이하면서 이렇게 슬펐던 게 처음이라 오랫동안 기억에 남을 것 같습니다..ㅠ)
