일상에 스며드는 공포를 꽤 잘 살렸다.
침실, 욕실, 지하철, 산길 처럼 우리에게 익숙한 장소에서 이야기가 시작되는데, 처음에는 별일 아닌 것 같다가 조금씩 분위기가 이상해진다.
예전에 층간흡연 때문에 고생했기에 처음 에피소드인 염원을 재미있게 봤고, 놀래기도 많이 놀랬다.
그리고 내가 쫄보라서 그런지 플레이 하고나면 침실이나 욕실 같은 곳에서 뒤돌아 보거나 하게 된다.
특히나 욕실 환풍기.괴물이 갑자기 튀어나오는 방식이 아니라 "뭔가 잘못됐다."라는 감정을 계속 빌드업하는 스타일이다.
사운드가 특히 좋은데 헤드폰을 끼고 플레이했는데, 배경 음악과 효과음 때문에도 긴장한 장면이 많았다.
작은 효과음 하나에도 신경을 많이 쓴 느낌이 든다.에피소드도 각각 분위기가 달라서 질리지 않는다.
인터넷 괴담이나 도시전설을 좋아하는 사람이라면 익숙한 소재가 많지만 그대로 가져온 것이 아니라 이 게임만의 방식으로 재해석한게 재미있다. 포마드라닠!
그래픽도 화려한 3D가 아니라 클래식한 느낌을 주는 정적인 비주얼 노벨인데, 오히려 그 덕분에 상상할 여지가 생겨 더 무섭다.
이미지가 바뀌는 타이밍이나 텍스트 연출도 꽤 인상적이었다.무엇보다 마음에 들었던 건 과도한 고어나 잔인한 장면에 의존하지 않고 분위기만으로 긴장감을 만든다는 점이었다.
단점이라면 비주얼 노벨 장르 특성상 일방향 진행이기에 액션이나 퍼즐을 기대하면 취향에 맞지 않을 수도 있다.
이야기를 천천히 읽으며 몰입하는 걸 좋아하는 사람에게 추천.그리고 일본 괴담집이나 인터넷 괴담을 좋아하는 사람들에게도 추천.
