This game captures the essence of the fun in seeing numbers get bigger. It has some gameplay but becomes more and more like a character building strategizer/idle game as things go along. I find it most fun for short sessions when you just want to relax and see enemies get destroyed for big damage. It's a bit weird that relics carry over making the chest drop upgrades pretty pointless past the first weapon if you bothered to farm up the drops, so maybe those upgrades could do something else when you have max relics?
