❄️ FlakeMission|July Day 21 #260721
Week 3 - Day 21 Started! Don't forget to check progress!

.I think the Season 3 cards/equipments/engravings and the passives on the equipments nerfs were necessary to some extent, but these changes go way too far. The Orlea nerf, along with the changes to Morale, Fortitude, and Resolve, feels brutal.
.The problem with Season 3's power creep is that it should have been addressed within the first few weeks after launch, or even before then. Instead, you left the season in that state until the very end, only to completely gut it with these massive nerfs.
.Orlea shouldn't have a cap on her buffs (at the end of the day one shoting bosses with 123098 turns is not ideal on a "competitive" level), and I think Morale and the other stats should have higher limits. As it stands, these changes invalidate the time and effort people put into grinding for them, myself included.
.Obviously, these changes to Morale and the other stats probably won't affect casual players. However, they have a huge impact on those of us who have invested a lot of time into the game.
.I think some people are being overly harsh with their criticism, but they're not completly wrong. I understand that the intention behind these nerfs is to balance the game for the future instead of just powercreeping everything (i think nerfing is better then just powercreep everything), but they shouldn't have been implemented in such a drastic way.
.You don't need to nerf Season 3 into the ground just to encourage people to build Season 4 decks. We're still in preseason. When Season 3 was in preseason, a lot of people were saying Persona was mid, and look how that turned out.
.Also, why nerf Morale while buffing characters that rely on it, like Luke? At the end of the day, he'll still end up dealing less damage than before on a min max build, imagine yuki...
.I.'m almost certain Season 4 will naturally find its own niche once it officially releases. I really love this game and the ideas behind it. I know it can continue to improve over time, but I don't think making changes this extreme is the right way to do it.
Btw im not very good with english so i got some help, probably forgot something.

i don't know what people were expecting. striker persona loops boosting your cards' power by like 450% while also doing a ton of damage during setup? dream world decks discarding your entire deck every turn while also dealing damage, and generating 40 morale stacks for free in a single Action Point?
how ridiculous would new season mechanics have to be to keep up with that level of power? if they didn't nerf it now, then when? a lot of the degenerate strategies weren't widely known until great rift broadcasted all the "meta" decklists through posts on the in-game leaderboards, and by then, people were already chasing high scores in the rift. it was wise to rip off the band-aid now.
hurry and go clear the tower before your crazy savedatas get adjusted.
buff stack caps, power caps, and the discard pile limit are all good changes that'll help prevent future card/accessory effects from causing loops with infinite power gains. i dont know if 15 is the perfect number, but it sounds fine to me
for those of you who lost hours hunting save data specifically for these broken strats, or you're an orlea player that actually likes the linear softie-only playstyle, that genuinely bites, and i'm sorry. :c nerfs happen in every good game and it's always tragic for somebody
on the other hand, I've seen a few posts, asking questions like, "if i grind for s4 savedata are they just gonna nerf it?" the answer is YES, if it's much more overpowered than intended. come on now.
anyway, looking foward to season 4. still want more male characters though...

Actually, I can accept the nerfs to masks and the Dream Frontier, but what I cannot accept is the cap on buffs like Morale and Indomitable. It's equivalent to locking the ceiling, which means they can only mess with character multipliers. New characters will always have higher multipliers than old ones, and with 15 stacks of Morale, old characters will only become increasingly obsolete. Also, the nerf to the Nun's multiplier cap to 350 is inexplicable. I vaguely remember my last time quitting the game was during the Naion's partner event. Before you released this character, you chose not to nerf it, but a few days after release, when everyone knew the partner's strength was high and had finished pulling, you decided to nerf it. It's purely to disgust people. The most important thing in this game is the save data, but the developers mess with it at will, making it feel like the time players spent on their save data is worthless, and enthusiasm will gradually fade.
I was looking forward to what kind of mechanics the next new character would have, but now it seems this preview livestream is of utmost importance. If it's not done well, it might lead to me quitting the game. Do I like the stuff the developers fill in with their feet? And then use their feet to change it again? It's still just directly changing the cap, just like with Narmaya, I just directly cut the cap to death. I really have nothing to say. When a character is too strong, cutting them directly to death is the easiest, most worry-free, and laziest way, and it also best shows the incompetence of the developers.
Smilegate, this is the second time I've cursed your whole family. I think this game should introduce various mechanics without the stats being overpowered. For example, three barely playable characters could be combined, and through player equipment combinations, neutral cards, seasonal cards, and a series of other things, their strength could be improved. And if matched well, they might even be able to fight in full-power battles or something. I think a hundred flowers blooming with various combinations is the best state. But this direct cut to the Morale cap is really treating the head when the head hurts. To nerf the Dream Frontier, they directly added a cap to Morale, Determination, and Indomitable, affecting all characters.
Nothing left to say, Smilegate is dead to me.

Almost forgot to get flakes

Chaos in who is back~
🤸 Kazena Act 1 story completely revamped 🤸♂️
🤼 Full dubbing re-recorded 🤼
I'll start my honest review!
The OST is really good...
You'll be more immersed if you play the music while reading the post ^^
Since the plot and detailed changes
have been covered in detail by other crew members
rather than comparing it to the previous version, I will focus on the gameplay of Kazena itself
that I experienced through this updateand talk about it!
I played Kazena for the first time this time.
I usually enjoy Yu-Gi-Oh, so I was especially looking forward to the card battles.
| Intro
Dopamine exploding from the start
It's chewing up humans like crunchy cake
If you play this on a big monitor with a headset on
with the stimulating direction and high-quality OSTit
really boosts the immersion.
I feel a sense of duty in battle...The animations that appear in between
It's my first time playing a game like this, so it wasvery fresh.
Kazena is a harem game (but the world is desperate)
I also really like beautiful girls.
I'll give ita perfect score.
| Point
1. Card combo synergy and impact
The battle I was looking forward to the most
From simple offense and defense to systematic skill cards!
Building upcards is important.
When you stack them upand trigger the combo synergythe
impactis so refreshing~~
It's fun to watch the cutscenes for each character.
Q. Can't I just mindlessly spam strong cards?
A. Then you will fall into a state of mental breakdown.
If you just throw punches while pickled in dopamine
your combatant will become depressed.
Useyour head!
To understand proper deck building and synergyyou'll need to study the mechanics
of each combatant
and refine your deck.
It might be a bit of a barrier to entry
for TCG beginners.
2. Perfect visuals and great voice actors
The characters are really well-designed.
My favorite isElaineand her low voice is really... sexy.
I don't see an official video for Elaine separately
so you should listen to her voice in-game yourself!
>> Go to the official website
You can meet the voices of other beautiful girls and boys
on the official website~
3. The vast world of Chaos
Kazena has built a huge and high-quality world
centered on the apocalypse background called Chaos.
With various in-game systems being unlocked one by one
in line with the main story progress
I could feel the attempt to naturally connect
the flow of the story and the gameplay mechanics.
However, since there are so many systems that open up according to the story
it can feel a bit complicated.
There was one thing that was a bit disappointing while enjoying the story.
It is the narrative with the main heroine 'Lenore'.
The protagonist starts with amnesia
and even after the story progresses quite a bit, the memories don't return at all.
So, the situation where Lenore approaches with deep affection
felt a bit out of place.
Of course, her face is convincing.
There's no reason to refuse if such a beautiful girl likes me.
It would be nice to have a scene where you recall fragments of memories when you're being intimate with Lenore.
And the character's stats could be strengthened accordingly...
Wouldn't it be more fun if the character grows along with the narrative?
Rather, Ray is a character with whom you build a new bond
so I felt the most empathy and affection for her.
Ray, you have to be happy.
Extra
I was getting wiped out in the dungeon
and found out there was a free draw...
What a perfect timing.
| OUTRO
Chaos Zero Nightmare!
It was a very fresh game.
I'm curious about the gameplay
when you build a proper deck
and delve deep into the story.
Kazena is a game where strategic tactics and information exchange
tailored to continuous updates are very important.

Please look forward to the upcoming team mission!
Well then...

Nice! I've done under 18 minutes by skipping elites/fates. Hopefully we get speedrun competition in future.

but some elites are actually faster than some normal battles, and yeah i think next time i should skip the fates, the animation take very long time, and skipping the shop (only perform card removal and epiphany)
and the discard card at the first turn also take me 10 second per battle, which really affect the completion time.
maybe when all fates, shops are skipped, no equipments that provide discard function, all single target battle can make the completion time go under 15 minutes, maybe you can try it haha
