PVP endurance ignore definitely seems to apply, but
The endurance ignore that actually applies to mobs seems negligible, to the point of being unnoticeable.

Turning Epic Seven into a fan-service-heavy game like Brown Dust 2 would be a bad direction for the game. Epic Seven became popular because of its identity: strong animations, strategic gameplay, memorable characters, and a fantasy universe that feels serious and immersive. If the game starts focusing too much on provocative designs and fan service, it risks losing what made it unique in the first place.
Fan service can create short-term hype, but it usually doesn’t build long-term respect or loyalty. When a game relies too much on sexualized content, the discussion around it slowly shifts away from gameplay, lore, and strategy toward character exposure and controversy. That kind of direction can alienate players who actually care about the game itself rather than just visual appeal.
Another major problem is the current power creep, which is already becoming excessive with the release of R&L. Instead of improving balance, Smilegate keeps releasing units that push the limits further and further, forcing older characters out of relevance. If the game combines extreme fan service with record-breaking power creep, it creates the impression that new characters are designed more to sell instantly than to maintain a healthy competitive environment. In the long term, that damages both PvP balance and player trust.
Epic Seven should focus on improving balance, story quality, and gameplay depth instead of trying to imitate games whose identity revolves mainly around fan service.

Power creep I agree. The other sounds like modern audience trying to change how the game is from the beginning.

Yeah the power-creep insanity is definitely getting annoying. There are hints of balance here and there, but basically if you don't have certain OP units, then don't bother with PVP. I don't like where this is heading, especially with our first look at the R&L character, the skills/statuses overload is much more of a problem than the 132 base speed.

E7 has always been a fan service heavy game. Some of the earliest characters were even toned down some (Luna's original art which was eventually added back in as an additional skin, Mercedes' skirt addition, etc) and the early advertisements focused heavily on Yufine and Luna (for obvious reasons)

i do agree with balance as main goal but I would say lately the balance of the game is pretty decent. In RTA I, as a f2p player, can easily beat emperor and legend players with smart drafting. I take in consideration that since I'm f2p I dont have access to all the units, I dont have Notos, Ml Tene, Ruele and others. This to say that the old units I have are to some degree viable to allow me to win the game. This doesnt mean that there aren't better units for a specific role, but you are not 101% tied to them for being able to win. This to me is "good balance" points. When they release a new unit that has new mechanics, debuffs etc, that unit is usually meta warping, because it creates a problem we cannot have a solution for, wich is why balance patches kinda buff old units so they work as "counters". Example, Frieren and Notes are everywhere -> buff to plan makes em kinda stunned bots 24/7. Plan was **** for the longer time but now is good. This is good balance IMO... next

they as a company need still to bring sales, cuz they need to pay a bunch of people that make this stuff possible, so you cant hope to get balance to buff units to counter stuff a week after their banner drops... its usually a month or 2... and thats ok, if you wanna be always on top, pay em, summon the units and abuse them for 2-5 weeks. Otherwise wait till meta settles and some old unit or even new unit gets implemented as a viable counter. This said.. Ivanna is a lady + selling counter but I still pick em and I dont ban Ivanna cuz I know how to play around her... wich means that even when realeasing counters they do a decent job to give people options. SG did **** stuff at times too, dont get me wrong, but of all the things to complain about, balance dont seem to be one... T2 players have a lot of options nowadays to counter the enemy. In the past vs cleavers you were forced to lock er bbk + Belian + Arby + Amiki to fight speed... now you have waaaay more options

I feel like my comment is gonna get a lot of hate, but reality is that they do a great job with the game, people might complain about certain metas and certain units and whatnot, but reality is they couldn't play for a meta 2 years ahead of time... little example, ML Luna came out and basically stomped the meta big time. This happened because b4 Luna, no units have passive abilities tied to their s1 or s3 skills, so ML Luna basically came and nullified any passive outplay opportunity, with time tho we got passives tied to s3 skills and ways to interact with her kit like Achates or, a silly one like Arby now that can still evade, counter and seal the opponent back. It took some time but now ML Luna is not a forced ban anymore, and she's not in every game either... she is a good unit in the right spot... but I feel like people forget about the process that got us there and complain about last months new unit wich will be same as Luna is now in a few months.. thats how the game should be

The balance honestly doesn’t feel that great right now, at least for me, mainly because of LotS, Notos, Fire Byblis, and evasion units. Fighting them has been the most horrendous experience I’ve had since the Cilias meta. Im starting to feel exhausted playing this game lately, maybe I just need to take a break.

everyone is obviously entitles to their own opinion, I get to play lots of different units... evasion is a problem? use units that apply target like signet or ml laika... Notes is a problem? use evasion, extinction, injury... Fire bibles is a problem? use high tempo teams and suicide Arby into her... lady is a problem? you have hacate , Ivanna and ignore damage share units... you have options... and more than one option for every problem.. R&L won't have a solution for at release but eventually will... and meta will change... If you feel like you wanna take a break, go for it but know that... if they release a solution and you miss on it, then its gonna be even harder to be competitive in pvp... so its up to you... I'm missing R&L 90% of the time... cuz I got myself salome... so I'll have to deal with them or permanano them if necessary... but I'm ok with that cuz I'm f2p and I still get to enjoy the game... oh I've been playing 5y at this point for reference. so I've seen it all

Salome honestly helped me a lot against Notos, I even built another pure damage Bhwa just for him hahaha. But just because I have counters doesn’t mean I can freely bring them every match just to secure a win. There are too many other units that shut those counters down. Its not like I can always bring evasion into Notos when there’s also Zeno or Mort with him, which just makes Setsuka pointless, and you probably get what I mean. Because of that, I end up trading one counter for another and leave myself vulnerable to that mechanics.
And evasion itself is bs. Arby getting 120% evasion from arti and Setsuka alone is just ridiculous. Plus ML Luna, Zeno, ML Laika, or Fire Sigret aren’t always perfect answers either because of the supports backing them up.
I average around 1 loss every 5 games in normal arena, which I guess is still a decent win rate, but man, RTA feels way better since at least I can ban or pick the broken units.

You're right. Also, they are just releasing even more broken heroes to counter the previous broken hero. How is that a solution?
