I feel like gear progression is one of the few systems that still feels outdated.
Epic Seven improved a lot for new players. Getting heroes and progressing early is much faster now than before.
But gear still feels unnecessarily frustrating.
At this point, blue gear has almost no value and purple gear often needs insane rolls to compete. The game already added gear boxes, better beginner gear and systems to reduce RNG, which makes it feel like even the devs know the core system is too punishing.
I'm not asking for perfect gear.
I just think high level farming should feel more rewarding and less like cleaning inventory after 300 runs.
The gear grinding issue in this game are "No good gear drop after long farming then Get good gear but bad luck enhance".
This is gacha games so RNG is need to have for company's income and long term play. Now to help gear grinding better in reality/possible ways.
- Add outerworld drop buff to all hunt during +30% bonus event : the best gear farming right now is outerworldy that has purple aura gear. But the buff is only for new gear sets, the drop chance is hugh difference like 300%. While new players need old sets too, not only new sets.
- Increase min enhance, just +1 is good enough. Maybe not get more godly gear but surely more usable gear for new players.
Gear 85 : HP/ATK min +4 to 5 / CDMG +4 to 5 / Cri (no change) / SPD +1 to 2
Gear 88 : HP/ATK min +5 to 6 / CDMG (no change) / Cri +3 to 4 / SPD (no change) *** Gear 88 with +3 Cri is a crime!
- Add more piece & set in Constella Shop, players has more choice to buy the gear they lack. Currently I buy only SPD ring, it's the best one.
Don't listen to the 2 twits that commented. One thinks you can compare reality with a gacha game and the other fabricated a made up story in his mind. Anyway, I'm a D1 player and at this juncture in the game's life I get your point. I've harped on SG to make the gear systems better for years and they finally implemented a couple of features that do that. The problem is they like to gate keep hard on anything they put in thats new to their game even though it's been in other gachas for years. Take astral forge: Epic pass is to overpriced for just Astrium and the minor items in it. They shouldve added Cosmonium to it to give some legit value to the pass. On top of that it should be a easier to get the control mods too. Just because all those items are there you still have to pray to RNGesus the rolls are high and they go where you need them to go. There are 300+ characters so getting maybe 2 or 3 decent to good pieces a month won't kill the game.
Says the 3rd twit, that thinks saying they are D1 makes their view somehow more relevant.
OP is literally asking for better rolls, better gear drops and beginner for some reason.
Gear is literally the endgame of E7, so WTF would the point be to skipping that.
Might as well just give every new player a Legend RTA Rank and WC Winner Frame, maybe what would be enough.
