But it's ambiguous to play an RPG like Lost Ark that builds up the inner workings again.

I occasionally order them, and I've even gone out of my way to buy one in person, not several.
I'm even getting into watching YouTube videos.
Everything has its time, and so does playing games.
Some people quit to live their lives, but others quit because they lose interest, can't find fun, or find other interests or fun things to do.
You have to do games or whatever when you can enjoy them, otherwise you won't be able to do them at all later.
When you read books, you often see people saying they'll gather this much and then go on a trip or do hobbies, but then they die.
