[Review Video]
Overall Review and Conclusion
"Where do you live?"
💯Pros💯
1. Simple but effective co-op
It's a simple game where you just press WASD,
but so many funny situations arise.
2. Sense of achievement GOAT
It's difficult. That's why the sense of achievement is so great.
When you keep dying, Tori looks like a vicious raccoon,
but it's a magical game where it turns back into a cute squirrel.
This has been Stove Crew 3rd Gen Kim Jun-woo!
Thank you!!

The first post in the Chronicles of Nostalgic Games is Tengai (Sengoku Series).
1. Sengoku Ace
(Samurai Ace)
<Sengoku Ace, produced by Psikyo in 1993, distributed by Banpresto>
Sengoku Ace (Samurai Ace) is a vertical scrolling shooter released in 1993 and is Psikyo's first work. It features a steampunk-style world set in a fictional Sengoku period where aviation and robot technology have advanced.
As a shooter, Sengoku Ace did not receive great reviews, as it was considered difficult for beginners and too easy for experts. However, it is a work that well demonstrates the characteristics of Psikyo shooters and is the title that made the company 'Psikyo' known in Korea.
<Multi-stage bosses, consecutive mid-bosses, conversations after completing stages, etc...>
<If you defeat all the ninja nets, they combine to become a super ninja robot.>
Koyori and Ain make their first appearance in this work, and if you only know the sequels, you will be surprised when playing this game. This is because the Koyori in Samurai Ace is just an ordinary money-grubbing young shrine maiden, and Ain is an ordinary directionally-challenged samurai who is obsessed with his younger sister.
Also, if you form a team with Koyori and Ain and reach the ending, an ending plays where Koyori runs away with the prize money. In the sequel, if you team up with Koyori and Ain, Ain, who doesn't recognize Koyori because she has changed so much, mentions the incident from this time and says he will scold her if he catches her, and an annoyed Koyori runs away with the prize money again.
It attempted to differentiate itself from other shooters through unique characters and relationships between them, and these features continued into the sequels and other Psikyo shooters.
<She is the same person as the shrine maiden in the sequel.>
2. Sengoku Blade
(Tengai)
<Sengoku Blade, which begins with the princess scattering the Flying Stones.>
<The protagonists who received the Flying Stones go to save the princess.>
Sengoku Blade (Tengai) is the 1996 sequel to Sengoku Ace (Samurai Ace). It changed to a side-scrolling format and the difficulty increased significantly. Still, as expected of a Psikyo shooter, the difficulty is manageable once you get used to it.
The scene at the beginning where the princess throws a stone into the sky and Koyori catches it is the most famous, and because of this, everyone knows who you mean when you say "that shrine maiden from the arcade."
The reason Koyori grew up so much is that in the first game, she was suppressing her growth because she had to be light to board the plane, but it is said that she grew to her original age as she became able to fly without a plane thanks to the Flying Stones.
<It seems her hair grew long as a side effect of rapid growth.>
The previous game's Koyori, Ain, and Tengai (the monk) appear, and Eunice, the younger sister of Jane (the ninja) from the previous game, appears. As written above, Koyori has grown rapidly, and Ain has had a gay attribute added to his "directionally challenged + obsessed with younger sister" traits.
Also, because Ain's performance was good, many people chose him. The command to select Ain in the arcade version is[UP X3, DOWN X3, UP X7 at ?] .
<Move to the ? position and press UP X3, DOWN X3, UP X7>
At the point of entering the castle, you must choose between a frontal breakthrough and sneaking in through a secret passage, and the story changes slightly depending on your choice. If you choose the frontal breakthrough route, you fight the Eastern General's super robot and engage in an all-out war, and you fail to rescue the princess, leading to a bad ending.
If you choose the secret passage route, you succeed in finding and rescuing the princess and fight the monster that the Eastern General was trying to offer the princess to as a sacrifice. If you defeat the monster, you get the ending where you rescue the princess.
However, in 2-player mode, you get the same ending regardless of your choice.
<The story changes slightly between frontal breakthrough or secret passage.>
<If you choose frontal breakthrough, you fight the Eastern General's robot army.>
<The younger sister was at home, and the story of Ain ends with her punishing him for wandering around at night.>
If there is anything else interesting, Hagane (Katana) is a character who fights to reclaim his body after it was stolen by the Eastern General, but in fact, this character is a woman.
If you choose the secret passage route in 1-player mode or see the ending in 2-player mode, she reclaims her body, and she is a woman. Her real name is Kirie. After regaining her true form, she leaves on a journey alone or with a companion who is surprised to learn that she is a woman.
Personally, I think the ending with Ain suits her best.
<The reticent puppet robot Katana>
<If you look closely, what is contained in the glass tube is a female body.>
<She's just a woman with a masculine personality who uses masculine speech...>
<It ends with her leaving with Ain, who realized she is the same person.>
3. Sengoku Cannon
<Screenshot from Nintendo Switch Psikyo Collection VOL.3.>
Sengoku Cannon is the last Sengoku series game released for the PSP in 2005, and it is a game that failed, leaving only its illustrations. Since it was produced after Psikyo was acquired by a company called X-Nauts and the original production staff had left, it is a work that showed only a short volume and poor completion.
As it became 3D, the backgrounds became simple, the enemies were reused from the previous work, and it received the worst reviews due to its monotonous composition without tension, ending in failure. Since this work, the Sengoku series has not been released.
<In many ways, it failed, leaving only the illustrations.>
Closing the story
So, we have briefly looked at the Sengoku series, one of the Psikyo shooters. How was it? Was it fun?
I hope it was fun.
The Chronicles of Nostalgic Games was created with the thought of introducing games from other platforms, as some people were disappointed that most of the nostalgic games introduced so far were domestic games, and the game company chronicles written by Labor No. 8 were focused on console games.
For now, the plan is to write by organizing and introducing game series, focusing on arcade games from the 1990s-2000s and PC games.

Was this about 2%?
You're lucky.

Content about the 'Hey Honey Bee' local landmark spotted in Ilsan for 9 years has been shared. It feels very relaxing to be able to see the same scenery for such a long time.

Looking at the recent situation of outdoor dining in the Jongno area, it seems that difficulties are overlapping for both customers and merchants. I'm curious about these changes in the neighborhood.
