(Please, take the time to read, think about it, and talk  about it, I would like to call all those who read the updates, who will see the comments, who read them, thank you very much.)

I never write originally, but with what’s happening, I ask myself questions,

The developers communicated a few weeks earlier that they were going to rework the role, the usefulness of the heroes in the future, for example, a tank character will be satisfied only with his role, tank. A DPS character, will only be able to DPS, we are talking about specific heroes, for a specific role.

ML Arunka being the perfect example of the character 'I do everything'; CR Push, no possibility to hit another hero than the character, additional damage, big shield.

But now ML Diene makes its appearance, and already breaks the entire beginning of the speech that the developers could have made, it’s strange... Maybe the character was already planned before and that the following ones might finally be balanced?

They also talked about adjusting the current characters to go more in that direction. I think of Lady of Scale, who is the top-banned character, in more than 70% of cases, regardless of the rank in the arena, because it makes the arena experience unpleasant. They therefore want to reconstruct the current meta by, as I was saying, readjusting the existing characters, ensuring that the upcoming characters respect and do not only fit their role. (No more character like Arunka. Lady Of The Scales, etc...)

There are also specific characters who counter who only serve to counter other specific characters, the countering heroes are often limited, sometimes we need their artifact, other times, their exclusive equipment., for example Shennah young originally, only serves to counter Harsetti. (She also against some other characters, but that’s not the subject).  These characters will be reajusted to ensure that their kit can counter a particular mechanism instead of a particular hero.

We are in an era where, all the moonlight heroes who come out, must be more powerful, more useful, more OP than the previous ones,

For some of you, you have already filled out 80-90% of the hero’s journal, so you may or may not have certain characters that fit into the meta, but think about new players for once, who discover the game, enjoy it, continue to play it, and come across our problems, while they have even less resources than us, what can they do? What are they going to do?

They also talked about the Leif, with the new sets, the leifs are consumed quite quickly, it’s a currency for the whales, who can farm the new set without real restrictions. Later, we will apparently have more means, and events to obtain leifs.

Fingers crossed, and let’s hope they follow this path, which promises to be healthier.

Having done this, let’s go back to the present, and talk about today’s update, that of January 14, 2026.

For those who do not remember or were not there in time, the astrium stone that allows us to have equipment according to our choices and a bit of gambling, was originally free, there was a 'reforging event' that asked us for one thing, which was already problematic, the energy, (so of the leifs), the event is back, but I find that there is something strange, why make us pay for skystone? And not just a little, 1900 skystones for the 'premium EpicPass', and 3500 for the 'Special Upgrade'.

Remember, originally the event was free in time, we just have stones that allow us to reset a +15 equipment that makes the difference.

Why increase the price, already it’s quite complicated for the new characters, limited, not limited, and even moonlight?

I don’t know what to think about all that, it’s quite confusing in my head, and I think you’ll see it when you read all this.

I no longer think I can keep up with all this, between my skystones, my summons and you? How do you feel? How is your progession going in the game?

To the developer, if you happen to see this.

The QOL updates in the next patch—minimap improvements and an event fast-forward—don't really address the deck-building fatigue. We’ve shared what we want on the roadmap, but it might already be too late. With Arknights coming next month, if the updates don't speed up, the player base will continue to dwindle. Even now, there’s a noticeable lack of streamers live-streaming the game.

Idk why you bring Arknight here. Both are inherently different game.

Also roguelike has always been for people with specific taste not for all gamer. I've already known that the hype from launch would dwindle anyway. After all StS has been there for almost a decade and still can't beat Open world game in terms of popularity. Just like other roguelike game that are less popular. Same case with turn base game/SRPG. It was not made for everyone.

Additonally there have been too much Open world game in recent years. Those who played it probably have to juggle between WuWa, Gensin, DNA, etc. anyway.

Personally, I don't like the factory building. Things like those annoy me 😅

To be fair, a lot of what they said could be great or could be crap - it'll depend heavily on how it's all implemented.


For now, I'm looking forward to the patch and update. I hope that several improvements drop alongside Sereniel

So far, the updates have been very positive, I don't know if you've played since launch, but the improvements have been huge compared to the game we had; it doesn't even feel like it's only been two months.
