스마일게이트 희망스튜디오(이사장 권혁빈)는 한국게임산업협회와 ‘2025 플레이 펀앤굿’(PLAY FUN&GOOD) 포럼을 공동 개최한다고 4일 밝혔다.
올해로 4회째를 맞는 플레이 펀앤굿 포럼은 ‘팬(Fan)’과 ‘컨트리뷰션(Contribtion)’의 합성어인 ‘팬트리뷰션’을 주제로, 게임 IP와 이벤트, 스타, 인플루언서 등 다양한 주체가 팬덤과 함께 만들어가는 선한 영향력 확산의 대표적 사례를 조명한다. 정소림 캐스터 사회로 진행되는 포럼은 지스타 2025 기간 중인 이달 14일 오후 3시, 부산 벡스코 컨벤션홀 104호, 105호에서 열린다.
이번 포럼에는 게임 산업을 비롯한 다양한 분야의 인물들이 연사로 참여한다. 먼저 정덕현 문화평론가가 ‘유저 친화적 산업에서의 선순환 가치 창출’을 주제로 기조연설에 나선다. 이어 ▲MMORPG ‘로드나인’ 퍼블리싱을 담당한 스마일게이트 메가포트 한재영 이사 ▲게이머의 기부 참여 게임 방송을 꾸준히 이어온 바다게임즈 임바다 대표 ▲스타와 팬덤이 함께하는 기부 챌린지를 기획, 운영한 비타콘 옥성아 대표 ▲구독자와 함께 기부 문화를 만들어가고 있는 샌드박스네트워크 창업자 겸 크리에이터 도티가 참여해 각각 경험한 팬덤의 선한 영향력에 대해 공유한다.
희망스튜디오는 사회문제와 대중을 연결하는 플랫폼으로서 팬트리뷰션이 게임 생태계에 긍정적으로 뿌리내릴 수 있도록 조력해 왔다. 대표적으로 비타콘과 함께 진행한 스타 참여형 기부 챌린지 ‘러브온탑’ FUNding 캠페인이 있다. 지난 3월 진행된 해당 FUNding에는 강다니엘, 정동원 등 총 10명의 스타가 참여해 영케어러를 지원하는 기부 챌린지를 펼쳤으며, 팬덤의 활발한 기부로 목표 대비 416%의 기부금이 조성됐다. 또한 희망스튜디오 플랫폼을 통해 유저들이 해당 FUNding을 조회한 횟수는 191만 회에 달했다.
희망스튜디오 권연주 이사는 “이번 포럼은 게임과 콘텐츠, 스타를 단순한 소비의 대상으로 보는 시각을 넘어, 함께 성장하고 사회적 가치를 만들어가는 팬덤 문화를 조명하는 뜻깊은 자리가 될 것”이라며 “희망스튜디오는 앞으로도 팬덤이 즐겁고 보람 있게 사회 공헌에 참여할 수 있도록 다양한 활동을 이어가겠다”라고 말했다.
희망스튜디오는 이번 포럼에서 소개된 팬트리뷰션 사례가 지속 가능하도록 사회 공헌 협업을 제안하는 접수창구 운영에 대한 내용을 현장에서 소개할 예정이다. 한편, 오는 11월 12일까지 희망스튜디오 기부 플랫폼에서 포럼 참가 신청을 받는다.
