안녕하세요, 마솽님입니다.

제가 또 이번에 새로 시작하게 된 게임이 있죠.

바로 새로운 스마일게이트 퍼블리싱 RPG 게임

이클립스: 더 어웨이크닝

무려 9월 10일, 어제 나온 따끈따끈한 신작 게임으로,

모바일 기반의 리니지라이크 장르의 MMORPG 게임입니다.

저도 비슷한 장르의 여러 게임들을 많이 해봤는데요.

이 이클립스는 많이 다릅니다.

수집 요소가 디테일하고, 방치형 보상도 존재해 느긋하게 플레이할수도 있죠.

단순히 게임을 켜놓고 자동 사냥도 가능하지만

직접 수동 조작으로 보스전 등에서 본인이 직접 맹활약할수도 있습니다.

아직 게임을 플레이한지 하루도 안 되었지만,

처음 시작하실 분들을 위해서 이 게임은 어떤 게임인가!

자세하게 보여드리도록 하겠습니다.

모바일 기반이지만 저는 고화질의 전투를 맛보기 위해 PC 버전으로 게임하겠습니다.

모바일은 이제 자기 전에 깔짝

캐릭터는 4종류가 있습니다.

말 안 해도 각 캐릭터들이 어떤 플레이 스타일을 가졌는지 감이 오시죠?

일단 이런 게임에서는 원거리 캐릭터가 신인 걸 저는 잘 알고 있습니다.

이클립스는 다를지 모르겠지만.

그래서 저는 예쁜 소서리스 누나로 선택하겠습니다.

전체적인 UI 는 모바일 기반인지라 PC도 동일합니다.

대신 단축키가 미리 세팅되어 있어 키보드 만으로도 게임 플레이는 가능하죠.

지면을 직접 클릭해 이동을 할 수 있습니다.

다만 이동과 공격의 딜레이가 있어 카이팅은 아무래도 힘든 점이 있습니다.

직접 조작은 최대한 적의 위험한 공격을 피해야 할 순간이 올 때만 사용하는 게 좋겠군요.

이후 머지않아 성소라는 게 열립니다.

이게 그 방치형 보상입니다.

성물을 얻어 놓으면, 시간이 지날 때마다 보상이 축적되는 개념입니다.

매일 매일 접속할 때마다 얻어줘야겠죠?

그리고 가챠도 있습니다.

캐릭터 외형과 무기 외형을 각각 가챠로 뽑을 수 있습니다.

연출은 상당히 화려하고 굉장히 깁니다. 정성에 매우 들어간 연출이지만...

저는 효율충이기에 과감한 스킵을 때립니다.

파랑 등급은 그냥저냥 평타 느낌이라서

더 높은 등급이 나와줬음 좋겠네요.

그리고 제가 어? 이 게임은 다르다. 라고 생각했던 부분입니다.

제가 또 POE2 와 디아블로3 를 많이 했던 사람으로서

이런 딱 봐도 빌드 전략이 무궁무진해 보이는 복잡한 스킬 트리에 환장합니다.

저보다 더 똑똑한 분들이 많겠지만

제 실력도 꽤 오르게 되면 스킬 트리 공략도 올려보도록 하겠습니다.

계속 게임하다 보면 가챠가 꽤 쌓여서 써보다보면...

바로 그때, 가챠에서 웅장한 빛이...!!!

아... 남캐가 나와버렸습니다.

저는 예쁜 누나 캐릭터를 보기 위해 소서리스를 선택한 건데요...

예쁜 누나를 털복숭이 아저씨로 덮을수는 없습니다.

결국 외형 교체를 해줘버렸습니다.

이 정도면 꽤 예쁜 누나라서 나쁘진 않아 보이네요.

외형 교체에는 다이아가 필요합니다.

지금까지 플레이해본 결과로는 다이아는 결제로만 얻을 수 있는 것 같더군요.

장비를 얻을 때마다 이를 도감에 등록할수가 있죠.

쓸모없는 장비들을 등록해서 영구 능력치를 챙겨갈 수 있습니다.

그리고 또 제가 가챠로 마법구 외형을 뽑아버렸습니다.

소서리스는 지팡이와 마법구 두 종류 중 하나를 택해 무기로 쓸 수 있는데요.

지팡이와 마법구는 찍을 수 있는 스킬 트리가 다릅니다.

지팡이는 공격에 치중되어 있다면 마법구는 치유, 제어 쪽 역할이 추가됩니다.

또 서폿이 귀중하지 않겠습니까.

운명이라 받아들이겠습니다.

그 다음은 잠재력입니다.

거의 모든 RPG 게임에 존재하는 시스템이죠.

랜덤으로 돌려서 좋은 게 뜨면 잠그고. 그런 느낌입니다.

잠근 잠재력을 또 강화할 수가 있죠.

극한의 고점을 노려봅시다.

그리고 꽤 신박하다고 생각한 성장 시스템입니다.

이 서판은, 랜덤으로 굴려서 6개의 심볼이 나타나는데요.

이 6종의 심볼이 조합식과 일치하면 그 조합식의 능력치를 얻게 됩니다.

이게 또 재밌는 게, 달성하기만 하면 영구 적용이라서,

기존 심볼 6개를 다시 돌린다고 그 효과가 사라지는 게 아닙니다.

대신 잔여 횟수가 존재해서 저 횟수 내에 최대한 많은 조합식을 따내야 하죠.

이제 저희가 해야 할 건, 우리 캐릭터가 죽지 않는지. 포션은 안 부족한지.

감시만 해주면 됩니다.

퀘스트는 자동 진행되지만, 가끔 대화를 하는 퀘스트가 있는데,

이 대화는 자동 진행이 안 되는 데다가, 그때 주변 잡몹들한테 점사를 맞으면서,

또 이때는 포션 자동 사용을 못하는 바람에 그냥 죽어야 됩니다.

죽으면 확률로 장비가 비활성화됩니다.

이건 또 골드로 다시 복구를 시켜줘야 하죠.

그런 참사는 나지 않도록 너무 손을 떼고 있으면 안 됩니다.

익숙한 맛이면서도, 또 색다른 맛이 나는 신기한 게임이다.

근데 이건 못 참았습니다.

찍먹을 할려 했는데 생각보다 맛이 있어서 계속 잡게 될 것 같네요.

나중에는 보스전도 할 수 있게 되니 기대가 됩니다.

제가 로스트아크를 또 엄청 했어서요.

그리고 이 게임이 굉장한 점.

바로 무접속 플레이가 가능하다는 겁니다!!

게임을 꺼놔도, AI 가 알아서 던전들을 돌아주고 일일, 주간 퀘까지 스스로 깨줍니다.

이러면 꼭 폰을 켜놓지 않고 일을 하고 있어도

내 캐릭터는 알아서 계속 사냥을 하고 있다는 말입니다!

As I have always introduced since my first post,

I always prioritize visuals above all else when looking at games!

It was about a week ago...

I was out looking for cute and pretty games again today.

Then I came across this game screen!

I just fell in love with it 💘 

Bewitched by such a cute appearance, 

I made the huge mistake of buying it

without really reading the game description.......

The game I'd like to introduce today is

none other than

 "Rain World" 

I hope that after reading my post today,

you won't be fooled by this beauty(?) like I was 👍️

 # Game Info 

A cute and fragile Slugcat separated from its family by a massive downpour.

It must fight against a harsh reality to reach an unknown destination.

To find shelter from the daily downpours, and to escape the threats of predators and hunger.

<Rain World> is a hardcore platformer survival game, and

situations where you die happen endlessly!!!

If there is one thing you need for this game,

I urge you to equip a strong mentalitybefore you start 😌

 # Gameplay 

<Rain World> allows for a total of 9 playable roles based on the DLC,

but at first, you can only play as the Survivor and the Monk.

In my review today, I will be reviewing the gameusing the most basic form, the 'Survivor'!

True to its description as a hardcore game, <Rain World>

gives you absolutely no information other than the simple controls 

It doesn't tell you where to go, your destination, or even your goal,

and only situations where you have to avoid predators 

keep happening.

It really feels like being dropped in the middle of the wild... 🥶

But this game...

Be prepared.

You die SO~~~ much.

You get eaten and die,

you get caught by grass and die again,

you get caught in the rain and die again and again!!!!!

Since I'm not a user who is used to hardcore games,

I really felt the importance of mental fortitude while playing...

And there are just so many creatures that appear,

and there's no real information about them either,

so among the things here,

there are some that don't even attack the player.

All knowledge must be acquired through trial and error while playing!

(Isn't there some kind of cheat sheet with the wisdom of the ancestors?...)

Of course, our fragile Slugcat

can only pick up and throw objects,

so it's a cutie whose best strategy is to avoid combat rather than fight 💗

Another feature of <Rain World> is the vast map,

and you can check the map by holding down the space bar.

(How far does this thing go?)

And this map only shows where you've been,

and fortunately, even after you die and respawn,

you can still see your previous traces.

So the ancestor's cheat sheet I was looking for above,

the ancestor was me, haha.

There was one thought that kept crossing my mind while playing this game.

 It's a game that is extremely hit-or-miss. 

And unfortunately, it didn't suit my tastes,

so I'm going to try a different approach for this review evaluation.

In other people's reviews, there are many reviews saying 'it's a god-tier game'?

I try to be as objective as possible when evaluating games,

but since I didn't enjoy it,

 I was worried that I might write a biased review. 

So for this evaluation, rather than evaluating the game itself,

I will write about the types of users who I think would enjoy this game.

🛸 Let's get to know the world-building a bit for better immersion

First, to properly enjoy this game,
you need to know what a 'Glypher' actually does.

Here, a tattoo is a 'Glyph',
and the person who inscribes that glyph is a 'Glypher'.

But the place where I ended up running a tattoo shop is

not Earth,
nor is it an ordinary..? alien planet.

It's a dystopian world facing war in 3 days.

In a place where you have to secure resources necessary for survival like oxygen and electricity yourself,

I, who can't run away because I have no money😇,
must survive by running a tattoo shop.

Literally,

a situation where even if the world ends tomorrow, I have to stay open today.

A Glypher's basic day is simpler than you'd think.

When a customer comes in, check their desired style,
choose a glyph you like, apply the stencil, and finish by tattooing it yourself!

But since there are various types of glyphs,
rather than just picking anything,

"This would look better on this character, right?"

I find myself subtly worrying about the combinations.

The process of inscribing glyphs is a tycoon game where you simply match timing/rhythm using keyboard controls,

so

because I remember playing Shu's knitting game on Junior Naver back in the day (back in my day...)

it was easy to play without pressure!

👽 The customers all have strong personalities

And the customers who visit the tattoo shop
all have distinct personalities.

From their appearance to their way of speaking and atmosphere, every character is different, so
every time a customer comes in,

"Who is it this time?"

I naturally became interested.

(This one seems to be a gang member...)

They give you tantalizing bits of the characters' personalities or short stories,
so there's the fun of watching the customers, not just giving them tattoos.

Of course, if you find a character you like...

your criteria for choosing a tattoo changes a bit.

I was just picking designs that looked easy,

but then I start comparing this and that for no reason... ahem..

and this is my favorite who brought their son(?)(?)

When the day's business is over,
you'd think you could just check today's earnings and go home, but...

I can't go home yet.

A Glypher has work to do at night too.

To secure resources like oxygen and electricity needed for survival,
I have to walk aroundas a thief(?).

🕶️ A secret night side job

At night, you play in a completely different way than during the day.

You walk around places with resources to pick up what you need,
and you have to steal resources while avoiding surveillance(?).

(I bumped into them on purpose to show you not to do this^^)

If a surveillance robot appears while you're moving carefully,
you have to hide

so you don't get caught.

If you get caught, you won't have electricity... or oxygen the next day... so... that's that...

The tattooist who gave tattoos to aliens during the day
becomes a survivor wandering the city for resources at night.

🏙️ The atmosphere of day and night is also completely different

During the day, you meet a colorful tattoo shop and unique characters,

and at night, you wander through the darkened city to secure resources.

With the city and characters expressed in dot graphics,
the atmosphere that changes between day and night,
and the matching BGM added,

you can enjoy both the cute tattoo shop and the dystopian city
in one game.

🪐 The fun of creating your own picks with various glyphs

You encounter various glyphs as you progress through the game.

As you choose and inscribe glyphs that suit the customers,

at some point,

"This would look good on this person."

you start thinking about combinations of characters and glyphs.

It's not just about repeatedly performing set tattoos,
but the fun of choosing glyphs to match the character's vibe.

Of course, the picky princess has a very firm taste...

🛸 A tattoo shop owner's day is busier than you think

In summary, a Glypher's day

follows the flow of: Tattoo shop business → Talk to customers → Inscribe glyphs → Secure resources →

It continues in that flow.

During the day, you comfortably run the tattoo shop,
at night, you avoid surveillance to secure resources,

and as you spend each day like that,
you meet new characters and glyphs.

It looks simple at first,
but as tattoo shop management and night stealth alternate,

it's characterized by not repeating just one type of gameplay.

Rumor has it there are multiple endings (whisper whisper)

It's a great value
