Season 3 had such a nice rift, you were able to get master with E0 Tebebia, Magna and Rei.

새로운 장르의 게임을 찾던 중

미소녀를 발견해버리고 말았습니다.

미소녀를 좋아하는 제가 이번에 소개할 게임은

[백신소녀]입니다!

장르: 디펜스, 슈팅, 전략

가격: 8,700원 6,520원 (9월 17일 09시까지!)

인터넷이 일상이 된 세계에서

개인 정보를 보호하기 위해

반드시 필요한 것이 바로 백신!

이 게임은 컴퓨터 백신이

사실은 미소녀였다는 것에서 출발합니다. 

 미소녀와 시스템의 연결 

인상 깊었던 점은 미소녀와 게임 시스템을

유기적으로 연결한 것이었습니다.

서브컬처 게임에서 그러하듯,

미소녀는 그 자체로 게임을 즐기게 만들지만

미소녀 캐릭터와 교감하고, 성장 시키는 과정 속에서

게임을 클리어 게 만드는 것이 중요합니다.

우선 초반 스테이지를 클리어하면,

서로 다른 역할을 수행하는

미소녀 캐릭터가 합류하게 됩니다.

이때 합류하는 캐릭터들은

실제 백신이 그러하듯 각자의 역할을 수행합니다.

플레이어 캐릭터인 레타,

파일을 스캔하는 키아나, 

악성 파일을 정리하는 리나,

파일을 분석하는 라이자.

미소녀 캐릭터의 역할을

콘셉과 일치시켜 캐릭터의 등장부터,

실제 전투에서의 역할까지

자연스럽게 인식할 수 있도록 만들었습니다.

그 때문에 새로운 캐릭터가

연속적으로 등장해도

어색하게 느껴지지 않았고,

캐릭터 역할에 대한 튜토리얼 설명도

더욱 쉽게 느껴졌습니다.

특히 플레이어 캐릭터인 레타의 경우

진행 단계에 따라 무기가 해금되고,

해당 무기를 강화시키는 등의 방법으로

스테이지를 더욱 쉽게 클리어할 수 있었습니다.

단순히 "백신을 미소녀로 만들면 어떨까?"에서 끝난

게임이 아니었습니다.

미소녀가 등장하는 스토리,

미소녀와의 상호작용,

미소녀를 성장시키는 과정.

게임 클리어와 미소녀가 직접적으로 연결되는

기존 서브컬처 게임의 문법을

<백신>을 소재로 사용한 것이 

꽤 신선하게 다가왔습니다.

굳이 플레이어가 직접 조작할 수 있는

맵의 형태로 백신 내부를 구현해 놓고,

각 미소녀 캐릭터의 성격과 특성에 맞게

환경을 구성한 것도 미소녀를 시스템에 녹여내기 위한

노력 중 하나라고 생각했습니다.

그렇지 않다면 UI 클릭으로 능력 강화를 해도 될 것을

굳이 조작이 가능한 3D 맵으로

구현할 이유가 없지 않을까 생각합니다.

그만큼 이 게임의 핵심 요소 중 하나가

'미소녀'이지 않을까! 하고 재미를 느낀 부분입니다.

 유동적인 전략이 요구되는 디펜스와 슈팅 조작의 결합 

전략 디펜스 장르인만큼

적들을 막기 위한 타워의 배치와 종류가

매우 중요합니다.

정해진 코스트로 타워를 배치하고,

상황에 맞게 서로 다른 종류의 타워로 강화시켜 나갑니다.

적들이 어디서 등장할지 미리 알려주기 때문에

쉬워 보일 수 있지만 생각보다 난이도가 있습니다.

일단 등장하는 몬스터인 <파일>이

악성 파일인지 아닌지 스캔하는 과정이 필요합니다.

스캔이 완료되기 이전에는

일반적으로 공격이 먹히지 않기 때문에

물리적인 시간을 요구합니다.

그렇기에 다른 디펜스 게임보다

타워의 배치를 신경써야 합니다!

그래서 플레이어 캐릭터인 레타를 조작하여

타워의 스캔과 공격을 보조하고,

레타의 무기를 강화-선택하여

플레이에 변수를 만들어 낼 수 있습니다.

각 라운드마다 적이 등장하는

장소가 달라지기 때문에

기존에 배치한 타워를 재배치하는

유동적인 전략의 변화도 요구됩니다.

난이도가 높은 보스 몬스터도 등장하는데,

보스 몬스터는 악성 파일들을 소환하기 때문에

타워를 믿고 보스 몬스터에 집중할 것인지,

보스 몬스터가 쏟아내는 악성 파일들을

우선적으로 대처할 것인지,

상황에 맞게 유동적으로 대응할 필요가 있었습니다.

플레이어 캐릭터인 레타의 체력이

완전히 소모되어도 일정 시간 이후

이어서 플레이 할 수 있지만, 카운트 동안에도

적들은 멈추지 않기에 신중하게 플레이 해야 합니다.

앞서 말했던 요소들로 인해

게임 자체의 난이도는 조금 높다고 느껴지기도 했습니다.

실제로 첫 보스임에도 3번째 도전에서

겨우 클리어가 가능했습니다.

하지만 유동적인 디펜스 전략 변화와

플레이어의 슈팅 액션 조작이 요구되는 만큼

게임의 몰입도 자체는 엄청 높아서

어느새 몇 시간이 지나 있기도 했습니다!

저도 디펜스 게임은 거의 해보지 않아 걱정했었는데,

오히려 전략 디펜스에

재미를 붙이는 계기가 되지 않을까 생각합니다.
