Before we begin

This is 감고냥이, who gave up on mosaicing the video and is just uploading it. The game I'm going to introduce this time is an indie, horror, adventure, slasher game called 'The Happyhills Homicide 2: Out For Blood'. The reason I found out about this game and started playing it was that while watching YouTube, I found out that the second part of the game had been officially released. I remembered enjoying the first part, so I was curious about what the second part would be like, so I downloaded it and started playing it.
So before I get into my thoughts, let me first show you a gameplay video of this game.

First of all, the game's story was summarized as follows.
"Years after the events of the first film, the legendary serial killer John Waite, with his characteristically brutal and ruthless killing methods, has returned. Will Detective Brian be able to stop the brutal serial killer this time...]
Unlike the first part, the weight of the story has increased, and unlike the first part, the story progresses through several characters instead of being played by one character.

The controls of the game were simple. There were only a few buttons to press - arrow keys to move, E and Enter to interact - and the layout was often used in games that used keyboards.
The way the game progressed was also simple. It was a repetition of [view the story → interact].
The game's system was also simple. It was literally ordinary. However, unlike other games, the save is not backed up to the Steam Cloud, so I thought I should be careful about that.

The graphics are 2D dot graphics, and despite being dot graphics, they do a great job of presenting uniquely brutal scenes.
In terms of sound, a lot of the BGM and sound effects from Part 1 were recycled, so it consisted of BGM that wasn't boring and sound effects that further enhanced the cruelty.
There were no bugs, and to put it simply, without breaking it down into pros and cons, and just talking about it in a rambling manner, it was as follows:
It was a game that made me feel a lot like watching a slasher movie, for better or worse.

The production reminiscent of playing an old videotape (VCR sound + crackling screen production) and the dot graphics that well expressed one of the reasons to watch slasher movies, 'how to kill creatively', gave the feeling of watching a dot slasher movie.
But if you look at slasher movies, as the series progresses, the story goes further and further ( starting at a lake and going to space ), and this game also had new and unnecessary settings added as the importance of the story increased, and the personality and purpose of the killer shown in the first part were ruined in the second part, so it was a game that made you feel like you were watching a slasher movie, for better or worse.
