I'm a cat who's excited about a fun game that I happened to come across. The demo game I'm introducing this time is an indie, horror, adventure game called 'Lonely Broadcasting'. The reason I found out about this game and started playing it was that I was looking for a fun-looking game that was being funded on Tumblbug, and I found this game and was curious about what kind of game it was, so I downloaded it and played it.
Before I get into my thoughts, let me first show you the trailer and gameplay video of this game.

review
As I said above, it was fun. I'll explain in more detail below, but it was a game that seemed to say, 'Our game is fun. You can trust it and buy it.'
First, let me summarize the game's story.
"What happens when Yuna, a game streamer who lost to a cooking streamer in a game and came out to broadcast her punishment, ends up in a hospital"
It could be summarized as follows: while other games are just bad luck and you get into a scary situation by chance, this game's characteristic is that you get into a scary situation due to the protagonist's mistake?
The game's controls were simple and familiar. Move with the arrow keys, interact with Z (spacebar, Enter), cancel with X (ESC), zoom in/out with A/S, and run with Left Shift. Since there are only a few buttons to press and the layout is commonly used in Tsukur games, it was simple and familiar.
The game's system was well-made. Even in the same location, it changed slightly depending on how far the game progressed (i.e. how serious the situation became), and jump scares appeared at appropriate times in the middle to provide appropriate tension.
The graphics were basically 2D dot graphics, but the cutscenes and dialogue boxes used animated graphics. Both graphics were well shot and well drawn, and played a sufficient role in making the game immersive.
As for the sound, there were some areas where it was lacking, but I thought that both the BGM and sound effects were appropriately placed in appropriate places.
As for the bug... there was a bug that caused a green line to appear in some backgrounds, and since it is a demo version, I will review it with the feeling of giving feedback as follows.
First of all, the concept of an internet broadcaster entering an abandoned house for a broadcast and being put in danger is now a familiar one. Cat in the Box (2020), Aesthesia (2021), and even the latest version of the classic masterpiece game Ao Oni (2025) feature the concept of internet broadcasting. So I played the game without much expectation of the story... but I couldn't help but be surprised.
One of the service cutscenes
Because it was a demo version that seemed to say, "Our game is fun, so trust and look forward to it," with full dubbing (the acting was okay) + a streamer concept that could really exist in reality + details that showed the situation getting worse + even the retrieval of twists and foreshadowing.
Even though I didn't expect much from the story, in the case of other games, things start regardless of the main character's actions (except for going to places you're told not to go), but in this game, things start from the main character's actions, and at the end of the demo version, it showed a scene that showed why the game's title is 'Lonely Broadcast', giving a familiar yet fresh feeling. (The graphics were also good.)
Of course, it wasn't perfect.
It's like taking a picture in front of an old-fashioned cafe among the dewy leaves in the early morning.
1. First cutscene
-It was disappointing that the scene showed the heroine from a pretty girl entertainment simulation making a V sign toward the main character, even though the location was an old, abandoned hospital in the middle of the night.
- I thought that since the main character could be expressed brightly, the background should be dark and gloomy.
2. Output of ambassador
-As mentioned above, this game was fully dubbed. Of course, that was an advantage, but the text that was shown was the problem.
- There were cases where the lines were output in accordance with the dubbing, but at the same time, there were cases where the dubbing and line output were separate. (Dubbing: Hello. I'm streamer Yuna. // Dialogue: Hello // Streamer // I'm Yuna, and so on)
-I think it would be nice if the lines were output to match the dubbing.
3. Initial sound balance
- The sound balance set to default was not right. It was buried by the BGM and sound effects. (Of course, you can adjust it in the settings.)
- I thought the balance of the initial sound needed to be adjusted.
This is a gif.
4. The presentation of the first game over caused by a ghost was bland.
- If it's a concept where you die without being able to scream, then there's nothing you can do about it, but the direction of the scene where you see a ghost and get a game over, or to be exact, the sound, was very disappointing. In the scene where the ghost appears, the sound effects should have been louder to startle you, but that wasn't done, and the main character literally didn't say anything.
-I think it would be better if it was at least done in a format where the main character screams.
finish
Let me finish. This was a game I was personally looking forward to. The story and graphics were good, and the direction and the collection of foreshadowing were pretty good based on the demo version.
-addition-
1. Personally, I felt it was similar to Pyeongsim. Because there were service cutscenes that appeared here and there while keeping the line.
2. As of now, it is scheduled to be released only on Stove Indie.
