First of all, the first impression is very good!

I also really like the way the ripples in the sea surface are reflected by the light on the bottom surface , and the texture of the seaweed and coral .

The first thing I felt when I played it was that the sensitivity was too high .

My mouse sensitivity is set to 1.0, but I feel like it's too fast, so I set it to 0.25.

First of all, the controls are quite smooth.

You can move with W,A,S,D and toggle to swim quickly with Shift .

The game uses the orange markers on the screen as waypoints to help the story unfold.

This is the action you will do most in the game going forward .

Right- click to switch to scan mode. Aim at the creature you want to scan and hold down the left mouse button to complete the scan.

When you scan , the number of scans increases along with the scientific name of the creature.

And importantly, once a creature has been scanned, it cannot be scanned again.

So if I say I need to scan 18 stingrays , that means I actually need to find 18 stingrays .

But what happens when this scan count is full?

I looked it up and found nothing.

But it feels good when you fill it all up.

Since the story development is the main focus, it seems that these elements were lightly added as a side.

After examining all the orange marks, a purple mark will appear.

The purple marks indicate the locations of the buoys .

If you manipulate the buoy, you should be able to find the source of the sound like this .

Press the F key while aiming at the exact point where the orange circle starts to fill up , and a new orange mark will be created if it is judged to be something to investigate at that point.

In this way, you will complete about 6 to 10 orange marked surveys per day.

This is a hot early access game that has just been released !

It's a kind of roguelike, defense game where you have to fend off enemies and get to the destination without the train breaking down as much as possible .

It seems so simple, right? But the GIF below will make you think twice.

Each car on the train contains operable modules.

You have to manipulate them one by one, and when their durability runs out, you have to repair them yourself.

It took me a while to understand all the systems in this game.

Even though there is a tutorial, it is not easy to understand because the readability is poor.

ㅣ 📃 Game Information ㅣ

First, when you start the game, you can prepare to board the train in the lobby.

Basically, you move with W, A, S, and D , and use the mouse cursor for detailed operations.

Doing so will open a map like this.

If you've played a lot of roguelikes, you'll know what it feels like.

You will need to plan your route carefully while checking what rewards each field gives.

When the game starts, the train starts moving and this screen layout appears.

Let me explain each one.

Hmm... I understand the screen layout, but there are still some terms I don't know?

What is a claw, how do you collect it, what are modules...

Let me explain the train structure in detail!

Module

Module refers to the facilities located in each train car.

They become targets of enemy attacks and have their durability reduced when attacked.

If you approach a module with reduced durability and press the F key, it will enter repair mode, slowly restoring durability . Moving will cancel it.

If durability is completely reduced and the module is destroyed, the train durability will decrease by a certain amount . This means that some repairs must be done before it is destroyed.

When repairing a broken module, you have to play a kind of mini-game like the GIF above.

If successful, it will immediately repair 50% .

They say it'll be repaired quickly, so I'll intentionally destroy it and play a quick mini game to repair 50% of it in one go~

It is possible, but it is best to avoid destroying it as much as possible, as it will decrease the train's durability and be like harming yourself .

brazier

This is a module that can be filled with coal .

If the coal runs out or this module is destroyed, the train will stop moving.

If you stop moving, you will have to stay in this place for a longer time, so you need to get out quickly.

cannon

This is an attack module that can be boarded directly and defeat enemies.

It's quite slow to rotate around the cursor position.

What's really nice here is that if you get off while the barrel is spinning , it will automatically rotate towards the last cursor position.

That means, if my physique is really good, I can get off and do other things while spinning.

You really see extreme efficiency.

And since the cannon is a module that uses bullets , it attacks by consuming the bullets it has.

Manual reloading is possible with the R key, and it automatically reloads even when the magazine is empty.

This reload time is quite long, so you'll need to show some skill in performing other actions during it.

In particular, it can be difficult to tell if the cannon is reloading, as the cursor shape when mounted on the cannon will change to a recycling symbol while reloading.

This indicator will remain at the last cursor position when you dismount the cannon, indicating whether or not it is reloading.

Alternatively, you can watch the tank fill up in the lower right corner.

Lever

Occasionally, as you progress through the game, green direction change signs will appear.

When that pops up, just press the lever between the cannon and the furnace with the E key.

If the lever is operated late, the train will crash into the debris lying on the tracks, causing major damage to the entire module .

It's really just a matter of clicking , so if possible, you can quickly get off while riding the Canon, operate it, and then get back on.

Clo

This is similar to the lever above, where sometimes a bullet or scrap metal shape will appear on the right side. Sometimes both will appear.

The claw also mounts and rotates to the cursor position similar to the cannon.

When you position the tongs appropriately, the tongs will grab the item and collect it .

This action allows you to obtain ammo and farm scrap metal .

There are times when two come up on either side, in which case I just have to think about which one I need more and choose one.

When I fill in the distance and reach my destination , I am presented with the option to choose the type of reward I chose.

You can check the rewards for up to 3 spaces ahead from your current location in advance, so plan your route carefully!

As a final overall review, this is a lot more fun than I thought.

It's fun because my hands are really busy, and I think the roles of each module are utilized very well.

There wasn't a single useless operation.

To survive the apocalypse , you have to coal, shoot, repair, collect... all by yourself.

You're really busy doing all sorts of things...

I think it will be really convenient if companions are added later in the update.

I feel like this game wouldn't be as fun if you had a partner.

I think it's a game that you can enjoy while keeping your hands busy !

The roguelike genre is expanding.

I'll have to dig deeper into the store for more delicious roguelike games!
