I am a cat who realized once again that I have to finish everything and review it while playing this game. The game I will introduce this time is an indie, crazy, visual novel game called 'Gong GO girl'. The reason I found out about this game and started playing it was when I went to the Stove Indie main page and found a game with a dinosaur roaring thumbnail. Since the thumbnail looked fun, I downloaded it and played it. (With the basic discount + coupon, I was able to purchase it for about 1,500 won.)

A parody scene of a good day to watch gag cartoons

First, let me summarize the story of this game.
"What happens when Joe Bob, an otaku with severe second-year chuunibyou (even if the player sets his name, it will be forcibly changed to Joe Bob) enters Meteor High School and meets three girls"
It was possible to summarize it to that extent, but it didn't feel like the story was connected, but rather like it was flowing with the flow of consciousness, so it was more correct to view it as a concept.

At first, or rather (probably) until I saw the first cliche twist + parody, I thought it was funny.
I could really feel the emotion that I felt from the thumbnail, and I thought that the parody was well incorporated into the game.
But as I progressed through the game, the parts that I thought were advantages began to turn out to be disadvantages.
The game was structured in such a way that almost every major scene was a twist or parody of a cliche, and the gaps between were filled with dad jokes, body jokes, and face jokes. (Even the trailer was a parody of the opening of the anime Blend S.)
In addition, the story/situation progressed according to the flow of consciousness characteristic of a sick game ... so it was structured in a way that you couldn't understand the story unless you knew what the parodies were in the game .

For example, there's an episode where they all go to an abandoned house after exams, and this episode is made up of [a Silent Hill parody (game) and a White Day parody (game), an Ao Oni parody (game), a The Last of Us? (game) parody, a Men in Black parody (movie), a Dotkoi parody (game), and a parody of Marine literature (a post from a specific community?)], and as I said above , if you don't know what a parody is, you'll feel bored and think, "What is this? What are they trying to say?"

In addition, the conversations that take place in the non-parody parts are made up of material that children would like (poop, farts, etc.), dad jokes, body jokes, and face jokes, so they are all things that I consider childish or dirty, so I ended up frowning rather than just being expressionless.
Also, the main character, and no one else, was the factor that disrupted the immersion of the game.
In this game, the main character (Joe Bob) is depicted as a character who doesn't understand the atmosphere or situation and who thinks (assuming) that the average person would know the so-called nerd terms that he knows, and because of this, he is portrayed as a character who ruins the atmosphere in many situations... The problem was so severe that it ruined the atmosphere not only for the characters in the game, but also for the users who were actually playing the game, and it interfered with the immersion in the game. (Not to mention the unfunny jokes about the main character's name.)

Let me finish. Short story short story... If you only watch one or two lines, it's a good game. Because the illustrations are full of a crazy vibe and the game parodies many famous games (movies, animations, etc.).
But overall, it was a game that naturally made you frown, with childish and unfunny gags, a story that flowed along with the flow of consciousness, and excessive parodies and twists on clichés.
