Smilegate announced on the 12th (Fri) that 'Epic Seven', a mobile turn-based strategy RPG (Role-Playing Game) developed by Super Creative, has updated the new hero 'Dawn Overture Ludwigs'.
Dawn Overture Ludwigs is the last survivor of the 'Night Clan' who appears as a supporter of the protagonist 'Lidica' in the ongoing Episode 6 'The Requiem of Gods' story. She joins the adventure to investigate the secret society 'Order of the Black Holy Grail' after being called by Lidica while preparing for a journey to mourn her deceased clan.
As a 5-star Ice-element Ranger hero, she can quickly acquire 'Souls' using the buff 'Dawn' and deal high damage to all enemies by consuming them.
Dawn is activated when using the 3rd skill 'White Night', increasing her Soul acquisition rate by 100% and inflicting Stun on enemies with a certain probability after attacking. White Night not only activates Dawn but also dispels 2 buffs from all enemies and applies debuffs to reduce combat power. Additionally, it generates a shield for herself, making survival easier.
The 1st skill 'Moonlight' uses 'Light of Judgment' additionally when attacking an enemy if she is in the Dawn state. Light of Judgment attacks all enemies by consuming all possessed Souls, and the damage increases significantly in proportion to the consumed Souls.

한국을 배경으로 한 인생 시뮬레이터 게임.
좋았던 점은 말그대로 한국을 배경으로 한 맵과 한국적인 생활 모습 등을 잘 구현했다는 점이다. 먼저 맵부터 보면 오픈월드 식으로 커서 여러 곳을 돌아다니며 구경하기 좋았다. 그리고 맵에 있는 건물들도 사주 클럽, 헬스 클럽, 붕어빵 가게, 오락실 등등 한국 길거리에 자주 보던 종류의 것들로 배치하여 익숙해서 좋았다. 시스템적으로도 재밌는 점이 많다. 일도 삽겹살 가게, 공사현장, 카페 알바 등등 다양한 업종에서 일할 수 있는데 이를 다 미니게임 형식으로 구현해놨고 미니 게임이 귀찮은 사람들을 위해 시뮬레이션 기능도 만들어서 편했다. 오락 기능도 마찬가지. 일과 오락 둘을 균형있게 플레이하며 캐릭터의 멘탈 상태를 케어하고 특히 일이나 오락의 종류에 따라 특정 스탯이 올라 이후 더 전문적인 업무를 할 수 있게 되는 시스템도 좋았다. NPC들과의 대화를 통해 관계를 쌓고 사이드 퀘스트도 수행할 수 있다. 그 외 직접 녹음한 건지 번화가에 가면 한국말로 대화하는 음성도 들을 수 있으며 장소에 어울리는 BGM도 듣기 좋았다.
아쉬운 점은 먼저 설명이 부족하다. 초반 간단한 조작과 이후 퀘스트 하나 이후에는 아무 설명도 없다. 게임 시스템에 관한 설명은 물론이고 미니 게임의 경우에는 도움말로 플레이 방법을 빼놓은 채 바로 시작해버리니 당황스러웠다. 적어도 각 멘탈 능력치가 무엇이며 어디에 영향을 주는 지 등은 알려줘야 되지 않을까 싶다. 그리고 버그가 많다. 2일차에 일을 시뮬레이션 돌리면 죽는 버그(버그인지 시스템 이해 부족인지 모르겠음), NPC가 공중에 떠있는 버그, 특정 공간이 뚫려 있는 버그, 2회차 시 1회차 소지 금액이 그대로 계승되는 버그 등등 굉장히 많은 종류의 버그들이 있다. 그 외 그래픽도 단순하고 프레임 제한으로 인해 화면 움직임이 부드럽지 못한 부분도 있으며 맵 로딩 시간도 길다.
오픈월드 느낌에 할 수 있는 것도 나름 다양하고 한국이 배경이라 몰입감 있게 플레이하기 좋았다. 완성도만 좀 높이면 좋을 것 같다.
