💎 게임 첫인상
혹시 여러분은 애니메이션 좋아하시나요?
저는 참 좋아하는 편인데요, 시간이 나면 작품 한두개정도는 종종 챙겨보는 편입니다. (시간이 없어서 많이는 못봅니다.)
최근에 보는 애니메이션은 '약사의 혼잣말'이랑 '나 혼자만 레벨업'정도네요.
그런데 가끔 애니메이션을 보다보면 너무 재밌어서 TV에서 방영된 분량만으로는 아쉬울 때가 있는데요,
이런 경우가 꽤 빈번하게 발생하는지 최근에는 회사도 이런 수요에 대해 항상 주시하고 있습니다.
업계에서는 OSMU(One Source Multi-Use, 하나의 IP로 여러 콘텐츠를 제작)라는 용어도 나올 정도죠.
애니메이션 중에서 OSMU의 대표 예시를 꼽자면 러브라이브와 아이돌마스터를 꼽을 수 있을겁니다.
두 작품 모두 아이돌이 되고자 하는 소녀들의 서사를 담는 작품들인데요, 출시한지 각각 15년, 20년이나 된 장수IP 입니다.
두 IP 모두 워낙 인기가 많다보니 만화, 애니, 극장판, 게임, 음반 등 너무나도 많은 매체로 접할 수 있는 작품들이죠.
오늘은 러브라이브의 스핀오프 애니메이션인 환일의 요하네 -SUNSHINE in the MIRROR-를 원작으로 한 게임,

러브라이브를 접해보지 않은 캐주얼 유저의 입장에서 리뷰해보겠습니다.

『난이도를 많이 낮춘 덱빌딩 로그라이크』

앞서 소개드렸듯 오늘 소개하는 환일의 요하네 -NUMAZU in the MIRAGE-(이하 누마즈)는 러브라이브 스핀오프작입니다.
혹시라도 러브라이브에 대해서 모르시는 분들께 짧게 소개해드리자면, 여고생들이 아이돌이 되고자 하는 이야기를 그린 작품인데요,
아이돌 육성물이다 보니 등장인물들이 상당히 많은 편이기도 하고, 빠져들만한 요소도 확실하게 있는 편이죠.

외전격 게임
"
이 게임은 본편의 이야기를 따라가지 않다보니 살짝 이야기를 해보자면,
기존 애니메이션 캐릭터들의 캐릭터성을 활용해서 만든 또다른 세계의 이야기 같은 느낌으로 보시면 될 듯 하네요.
하지만 누마즈가 다른 스핀오프작과 다른 점이라고 하면 이미 기존에 제작된 애니메이션이 있고,
이전작인 환일의 요하네 -Blaze in the DEEPBLUE-가 이미 2023년도 11월에 출시한 이력이 있다는 점이네요.
솔직히 아이돌 관련이다보니 세계관이 튼튼한지는 잘 모르겠지만 재미 면에서는 많은 기대를 하게 만드는 포인트가 있습니다.
<게임 스토리 부분은 살짝 비주얼 노벨 느낌이 많이 나는 편>
이 게임은 기본적으로 덱빌딩 로그라이크 게임입니다.
다만 앞서 소개드렸듯 러브라이브의 세계관에서 파생된 게임이기 때문에 비주얼 노벨 느낌이 많이 나는 편입니다.
그렇다고 스토브에서 많이 보이는 연애물은 아닌데요, 그보다는 등장인물들과의 즐거운 이야기를 감상하는 느낌이 많이 나네요.
세계관도 많이 유머스러운데다 가볍습니다.
아주 간략하게 이야기를 요약하자면, 실력이 좋지않은 점술사 요하네가 거울속으로 들어가게 되는 이야기인데요,
진지한보다는 유머스러움을 추구하다보니 얼마나 즐겁게 문제를 해결해 하는가의 시점으로 본다면 조금 납득이 가실 것 같네요.
다만 소위 말하는 '오글거리는 애니 연출'이 많이 들어간 편이니 이런 연출에 거부감이 있으시다면 참고 하시길 바랍니다.
<본편에서 등장했던 인물들이 게임에서 어떤 역할로 등장하는지 보는 맛이 있다>
아무래도 등장인물이 매우 중요한 IP다보니 캐릭터들에 대한 이야기를 안할 수가 없네요.
환일의 요하네가 본편의 캐릭터를 모티브로 한 외전격인 시리즈다보니 러브라이브를 본 팬이라면 반가운 모습이 여럿 등장합니다.
그리고 다른 분들의 감상평을 살펴보면 본편과는 완전히 다른 성격을 가진 캐릭터들도 많아서
기존 팬분들이라면 등장인물들이 어떻게 나올지 기대하면서 보게 되는 점도 있을 것 같네요.

다만 저는 러브라이브 시리즈를 즐기지는 않아서 그런지 본편에서는 어떤 캐릭터인지 알지 못해서 이런 재미는 많이 놓쳤네요.
이 점은 팬분들을 위한 서비스라는 느낌으로 생각한다면 납득이 되는 부분입니다.
저는 오히려 이런 점 때문에 러브라이브라는 IP에 대해서 더 궁금해지기도 하네요. 😁😁
시간나면 구작부터 한번 즐겨봐야겠습니다.

게임의 핵심 요소가 IP의 본편과 연관이 많이 되어있다보니 캐릭터에 대해서 많은 말씀을 드렸지만
게임 플레이에 측면에서 봐도 꽤 괜찮게 만들었다는 느낌이 많이 들었습니다.
사실 시스템적으로는 이 장르의 원조인 슬레이 더 스파이어(Slay the Spire)의 플레이 방식과 거의 흡사합니다.
기본 카드가 포함된 덱으로 시작해서 루팅과 상점 구매 등의 방식을 통해 나만의 덱을 만드는 방식부터 시작해서
분기점이 있는 던전 진행 방식, 상점에서 카드 제거를 하거나 할인된 가격에 아이템/카드를 구매하는 시스템,
휴식터에서 체력 회복과 카드 강화 중 하나를 고르는 방식 등등 많은 부분이 변경점 없이 거의 동일한 방식으로 구현되었습니다.
캐주얼 유저를 타게팅으로 하다보니 난이도 자체는 많이 낮아진 정도가 차이점이었네요.
다만 그럼에도 내가 좋아하는 게임의 방식을 내가 좋아하는 캐릭터로 즐길 수 있다는 장점이 있습니다.
밝고 화사한 분위기에서 즐기는 맛 뿐만이 아닌 애니메이션 스타일로 보는 재미도 있고,
무엇보다도 게임성이 이미 검증된 게임 플레이 방식이다보니 재미 면에서는 믿고 플레이할 수 있다는 점이 오히려 좋았네요.
개인적으로는 독창적인 게임 스타일을 더 높게 쳐주지만, 사실 큰 문제없이 재미만 있다면 괜찮지 않을까 하는 생각도 듭니다.
<평판을 통해 다음 스토리 진행 시에 도움을 줄수 있도록 보너스나 강화효과를 구매할 수 있다>
오히려 눈에 들어온 시스템은 평판 포인트를 사용해서 다음 플레이에 도움을 주는 시스템입니다.
게임 플레이를 통해 별도 수주 없이도 의뢰를 달성하면 각각의 의뢰에 따라서 평판 포인트를 획득할 수 있는데요
이렇게 획득한 평판 포인트는 영구적으로 캐릭터를 강화하거나 아이템 습득 해금,
혹은 다음 공략에 도움을 줄 수 있는 여러가지 공략 보너스를 구입할 수 있습니다.
예를 들면, '다음 도전에서 초기 덱의 무작위 카드 3장을 업그레이드 하고 시작'할 수 있거나,
'다음 도전에서 처음 1개까지 아이템/카드 구입 무료', 혹은 '다음 도전에서 항상 공격력 +1' 등의 기능을 저렴하게 구매할 수 있습니다.
단, 한번 구매하면 이후 진행에도 영구적으로 효과가 적용되는 '능력 강화'에 비해 '공략 보너스'는 1회용이니
어느쪽을 우선으로 구매할지 신중하게 결정해야 합니다.
<DLC를 구매하면 스토리에 등장하는 캐릭터로도 할 수 있다. 조금 비싸지만...>
사실 게임의 주인공은 요하네지만 스토리에서 등장하는 다른 캐릭터들도 독특한 캐릭터성으로 재미를 선사합니다.
그렇다보니 요하네 뿐만 아니라 다양한 캐릭터로도 플레이를 해보고 싶다는 생각이 들 수도 있는데요,
이 부분은 DLC 구매를 통해 해결이 가능합니다.
DLC에서는 요하네 외에 나머지 9명의 캐릭터를 플레이어블 캐릭터로 추가해줄 수도 있고,
다양한 코스튬 세트를 통해 색다른 모습을 감상할 수도 있습니다.
단, DLC 각각의 가격이 정가 기준으로 9,900원부터 21,500원까지 다양하게 있는데요, 종류도 엄청 많습니다.
생각보다 가격이 상당한 편이지만 다른 확장팩 급의 DLC마냥 필수는 아니니 캐주얼 유저 입장에서는 거부감이 크게 없네요.
📌 게임 총평
『러브라이브라는 IP에
흥미를 가진 유저들을 위한 굿즈같은 게임』
사실 개인적으로는 이 게임이 2월 중에 스토브에서 정식 한글화로 출시된다고 해서 관심이 많이 갔습니다.
수려한 애니메이션 같은 일러스트를 자랑하는 게임은 많지만, 애니메이션 IP 기반의 게임은 드물었거든요.
그래서인지 재미 측면에서 어떤 즐거움을 줄지 내심 기대도 많이 했습니다.
다만 실제로 게임을 해보고 나서는 약간 다르게 느꼈는데요, 게임 자체로도 충분히 재밌었지만
그보다는 러브라이브라는 IP를 사랑하는 유저들을 위한, 혹은 러브라이브에 관심이 있는 분들을 위한 굿즈같은 느낌이었습니다.
대사 톤부터 스토리, 캐릭터 디자인 등 여러가지가 '이건 애니메이션이야'라는 느낌을 많이 주기도 했고
가장 크게는 '이 캐릭터는 이런 매력이 있어'라는 점을 어필하기 위한 노력들이 많이 보였네요.
때문에 게임성 자체보다는 러브라이브에 관심이 있거나, 최소한 애니메이션 느낌을 좋아하시는 분들께 추천드립니다.
거울속 세상에서 여러 어려움을 찾아 해결하는 요하네의 마법같은 이야기,
