We've received a lot of interest and valuable feedback, so we've been working day and night to improve the game for several days to show our appreciation.
<For Jekyll> has become a completely new game with this large-scale patch!
We have implemented and improved upon each and every valuable feedback from players to the best of our ability and have carried out updates.
I think it would be a really enjoyable experience for those who have played it before to play it again, as it would be a really enjoyable experience for developers who are still inexperienced.
Below are the changes & improvements made in update 0.2.0 for Jekyll.
🧭 3D parts
The structure of the 3D map has changed dramatically. Textures and objects in the 3D map have been significantly changed. Various objects and props are placed on the map. NPCs are now placed more naturally within the map. The map atmosphere and route have been significantly modified to fit the game's theme. Temporary 3D modeling of 'Ham Min-seok' has been added. Temporary 3D modeling of 'Pyo Ji-hoon' has been added. Temporary 3D modeling of 'Jeyoungseop' has been added. The protagonist's running motion has been changed to be more dynamic. When the protagonist is holding a flashlight, the running motion and hand motion are dynamically changed. Kang Ju-myeong's 3D standing motion has been changed to be more natural. Added a feature that allows the player's surroundings to appear dim even when not using a flashlight. Fixed map brightness and shaders to be consistent. When you reach a part where you need to turn on the flashlight, a HUD has been added that prompts you to use the flashlight by pressing the 'F' key on the screen. Changed to increase visibility by adding a blink to areas that require interaction. Added a feature where when a player approaches an NPC in a 3D part, the NPC will look at the player. When Chapter 1 started, the protagonist's spawn location was naturally modified. Added ability to use the TAB key to SKIP through dialogs that are running in 3D. The appearance effect of 'Inner Voice' has been changed from a background change to a special effect implementation. The 3D cutscene in Chapter 1 where Yeon Hyo-jin is discovered has been deleted. The modeling of the infected that appears in Chapters 1 and 2 has been changed to make them more terrifying. When shining a flashlight on an infected entity, a feature has been added that causes it to turn around to find the light source. Added behavior and gimmicks where the infected will look around while on guard when detecting the form of a player or NPC. The infected have been modified to have more luminous material and bizarre modeling, making them more visible even when not using a flashlight. Added a chase animation for the Infected to make it easier to tell when the Infected is chasing the player. Various objects have been placed inside the hotel map that can affect the player's movement. Infected entities' placement has been added to better fit the level design. The Infected One now moves around the hotel according to its path, and has the ability to proactively change paths in certain situations. Added various motions and states for the infected, such as eating corpses or banging their heads against walls. The heartbeat and chase BGM have been modified to play louder as the infected get closer. The game over cutscene has been changed to match the new infection. The 3D motion that appears when the NPC 'Yeon Hyo-jin' is attacked by an infected entity has been modified to look more natural. Added dubbing for various environmental NPCs, including 'Hotel Guests'. The height and proportions of NPC's 3D modeling have been modified to look more natural. Fixed a bug where Infected entities would become stuck moving in certain parts of the map. The gimmick has been adjusted so that when you are a certain distance away from an infected entity, the infected entity will not react even if you use a flashlight. In Chapter 2, the location of NPC 'Jeyoungseop' has been appropriately modified to take into account the level design. The 2nd floor map structure has been significantly changed. The 4th floor map structure has been significantly changed. After providing a blood sample to 'Jeyoungseop', a scenario was added where Jeyoungseop runs away in fear when an infected entity appears. Blood sample objects have been repositioned to appropriate locations considering level design. 3D sound has been applied to related voices so that you can find the room where NPC 'Yeon Hyo-jin' is by sound.🎮 Visual Novel Part (2D)
Added ability to skip 2D visual novel parts using the Tab key. The UI has been revised to allow for more intuitive use of the function keys. Added a feature to change the name color in the dialogue UI to match the NPC's theme color. The usability of skipping parts by double-clicking the screen in the visual novel part has been improved. The ability to skip visual novel dialogue by pressing the spacebar has been improved. Various settings, such as NPCs' favorite foods and pasts, have been added to the game so that they can be learned through NPC dialogue interactions. A feature has been added that allows you to ask for information through conversation with the relevant NPCs (Pyo Ji-hoon, Yeon Hyo-jin, etc.) to assist with various game settings. The method and effects of changing NPC illustrations in the visual novel part have been improved. In the part where Yeon Hyo-jin is discovered, a bug where Kang Ju-myeong's illustration was displayed during Yeon Hyo-jin's dialogue has been fixed. Fixed a bug where the background graphics of the visual novel part would not change when using skip.🧩 Added systems and features
A NPC affinity system has been added. When talking to an NPC, related dialogue has been added to increase your affinity with them through various questions and answers. A system has been implemented where the affinity level of the corresponding NPC increases or decreases depending on the selection of each option. As your affinity with an NPC increases, the NPC's dialogue entry line will change to match your affinity. Some ending illustrations and service illustration cutscenes have been applied. (Not applied in the demo.)🐞 Bug fixes and optimizations
Fixed a bug where the demo's language settings would output unsupported languages (English, Japanese). Fixed a bug where mouse sensitivity would not naturally follow the frame. Framerate drops have been improved by approximately 31% due to object optimization. The number of concurrently loaded objects has been adjusted to reduce the load on CPU and GPU by more than 20%. Fixed a bug where the mouse pointer would not move when loading a save file via the ESC menu during the scene where the DEMO is announced to have ended. Fixed a bug where E interaction would not work when skipping through the UI at high speed in certain situations. When Chapter 1 started, a bug was fixed where the dialogue would not be output when picking up a fountain pen during the dialogue of NPC Kang Ju-myeong. Fixed a bug where closing the menu UI with the ESC key would not work when opened in-game. The output volume of NPC dubbing sounds has been consistently fixed. Fixed the mouse pointer to now be removed by clicking if it appears unintentionally. Fixed a bug where some 2nd floor map objects were outputting abnormally. Fixed a bug where the 'Yeon Hyo-jin' NPC would intermittently not follow the player. Fixed a bug where save files would not load in certain situations. Fixed a bug where locked rooms in the hotel rooms on the 2nd floor map could be opened unintentionally.🖱 Settings and UI related
The sound effects and SE of the UI in the main menu have been changed to match the theme. The default mouse sensitivity has been lowered by about 20%. The range for setting mouse sensitivity has been increased. The size of the default font has been increased to improve readability.As for the 3D NPC modeling that many people have mentioned, it is a modeling that was temporarily applied to the demo, and the actual game will use improved quality and polygons, and cartoon rendering modeling will be applied.

🎮 Visual Novel Part (2D)
We plan to significantly increase the volume of the visual novel by adding side stories and service illustration cutscenes. We plan to add various scenarios, such as the NPC's past story, the protagonist's past, and the process of losing his memory. We plan to modify the clothing of female NPC illustrations to increase their attractiveness. All female NPCs' favorability endings will be added as full CG illustrations, and one ending illustration will be printed for each NPC. Full CG illustrations for all endings will be added. The size of NPC illustrations in the visual novel part will be consistently modified. Log and auto-read features will be added to the visual novel part. An album (gallery) feature where you can collect various ending illustrations will be added. A feature will be added that will allow you to hover your mouse pointer over story choices to see an outline. In the part where Yeon Hyo-jin is discovered, an additional female silhouette illustration will be applied to distinguish NPCs. We plan to fix a bug where the crosshair appears in the visual novel part of Chapter 2.🧭 3D parts
The height and proportions of NPC's 3D modeling will be modified to make them more natural. All female and male NPC models will receive additional cartoon rendering. Detail work is currently underway on the NPC modeling that was temporarily applied. There will be a variety of objects added inside the hotel map that you can interact with and engage in events with NPCs. As Chapter 1 progresses, we will refine the story's plausibility and add additional information to reinforce it. 3D modeling of NPCs wearing event costumes in certain situations will be added (bunny girls, etc.) We're planning on adding a blink to the door that can be opened on the 4th floor to make it more noticeable.🧩 Systems and features to be added
The NPC dialogue through interaction has also been dubbed and is currently being mixed. Sound BGM and sound effects will be significantly added to support various situations. The exclamation mark UI and various UIs will be modified to suit the atmosphere. When obtaining special objects such as kitchen knives, we plan to add related dialogue and scenarios. We will add related scenarios to let you know if you missed a special object. Blinks will be added in large numbers to increase the visibility of elevator buttons and various target objects. We plan to create and add empty sound effects for doors of certain materials (such as glass doors). NPC affinity endings and various routes, a total of 6 multi-ending systems will be implemented. Sound effects will be added to let players know immediately when their affinity increases. When you launch the game, NPC voice output will be added to the logo screen. A related setting will be added so that the corresponding key can be checked in the menu. Additional environmental sound effects will be added from outside the hotel, appropriate to the situation and background. The hotel's room numbers will be individually modified to suit the layout.🐞 Scheduled bug fixes
We plan to fix a bug where dubbing sounds do not stop immediately when an NPC dies. We plan to fix a bug where unrelated dubbing sounds would occasionally be output while the map was switching. I just want to do the sub-story, but the sub doesn't have a quick battle function, so I have to go somewhere else to get quick battles, which is always stressful.

글러트니가 타 게임과 차별되는 점은 바로 푸드데빌을 잡아먹어서 능력치를 빼앗을 수도 있고 과식하여 배를 터트려 버릴 수도 있다는 점이었어요!
구매하는 능력치들도 잡아먹은 데빌들에 영향이 가는 능력치라 비슷비슷한 양서류겜들 사이에서도 차별을 두려고 노력했구나! 를 느낄 수 있는 부분이었습니다~!
게임 진행에 가장 중요한 전투 부분에서는 완성도가 정~말 높다고 느꼈습니다!
다만 아직 부분부분 디테일이 떨어진다고 느껴지기도 했어요
더 나은 튜토리얼로 업데이트 한다고 하셨지만 데모 버전에선 텍스트로 와다다 알려줘서 가독성이 떨어지는 편이었습니다ㅜㅜ
튜토리얼이 길어지더라도 하나씩 알려주고 체험해보는 방식으로 바뀌면 좋겠다고 생각했어요! 정식출시에선 어떻게 바뀌어 나올지 기대가 되는 부분이기도 했습니다~
또한 피가 적어졌을때 임팩트가 적어서 피관리가 많이 어렵더라고요ㅜㅜ 주변이 빨갛게 변한다던가 알림이 울린다던가 추가 됐으면 하는 생각이 들었어요
적의 공격과 나의 공격이 구분이 힘든 부분도 있었습니다 특히 초반에는 제 공격인줄 모르고 열심히 피하는 부끄러운 행동도 해버렸어요...
게임 진행에 중요한 부분은 아니지만 다음 스테이지로 가며 동굴 입구로 들어갈땐 부자연스럽게 넘어가서 몰입감이 좀 깨지기도 했습니다
그리고 플레이어블 캐릭터가 한명뿐인가? 아쉽다고 생각했는데 더 추가 예정이라고 생각하셔서 완전 기대되네요!
속상했던 점은 mr. 구스에게 능력치중 한칸에 버거 무한 장착을 구매하였는데 지금까지 먹었던 푸드데빌 능력치가 사라져서 당황스러웠어요ㅜㅜ 안내문이라던가 있었으면 더 좋았을 것 같은 아쉬움이 남았습니다
캐릭터 디자인과 몬스터 디자인은 너무 매력적이었지만 배경은 게임 분위기와 어울리지 않는다고 느껴졌습니다
꾸역꾸역 보스까지 올라갔는데 한방컷을 당해버렸어요... 멘붕와서 한참 쉬다가 리트했습니다ㅜㅜ
피 1로 살아남았을땐 심장이 떨리는 기분이었습니다 ㄷㄷ
정말 재밌고 유니크함을 잘 살린 게임이라고 느꼈습니다! 다만 저한테는 난이도가 너무 어려웠네요ㅜㅜ 그래도 정식출시가 기대되는 작품입니다!
