Ignost traditionally sees free general releases one and a half to two and a half years after release.
There are no exact standards yet, but looking at previous cases, it feels like a pattern.
So I think I'll just buy the secret version and enjoy it by receiving the regular version later when it's distributed for free.
The White Night Story is one of the representative examples. I bought it shortly after it was released, but I still haven't seen the true ending, let alone the character stories. Because of the structure, it takes a long time to finish it all at once, so when I try to play it again, I can't remember the content, so I have to start from the beginning every time... This keeps happening, so I end up not getting into it.
Would I have regretted buying the regular version?
In the case of Yourblight, I bought the Steam version after purchasing the White Night Story and played most of the events, but the Stove version had so much lag that I couldn't play it for more than a few hours. Of course, some people say there is no lag, but when I asked about their specs, they said they have high-spec systems like 4080 or 4090. If it's not like that, you can almost always expect lag.
The difference in app optimization is quite big. But since Patch Stove is fast, I thought it was worth buying since I can use it to test patches.
Free distribution is perfect!
To sum up,
The general version is likely to be released for free after waiting for some time.
That being said, it may not be necessary to buy everything up front.
For those who want to save money, this may also be an option to consider.
