저도 다른 분들의 열렬한 후기를 보고 구매했지만,
기대가 너무 컸던 걸까요?
어색한 조작감 때문에 '이게 왜 이렇게 극찬받지?'하는 의문이 들었습니다.
하지만
플레이를 거듭할수록, 그 판단이 오산이었다는 걸 깨닫게 됩니다.
스토리를 풀어내는 방식, 연출, 그리고 OST까지 어우러지며 만들어내는 몰입감은
단순한 '게임 플레이 경험'이라기보다, 마음속에 오래 남는 하나의 감정처럼 그 분위기에 빠지면 쉽게 잊히질 않더라구요.
특히 턴제 게임에 큰 관심이 없던 저조차도, "클레르 옵스퀴르"의 전투는 정말 흥미로웠습니다.
턴제에 실시간 액션(QTE)이 더해져 전투의 긴장감이 높아졌고,
후반부로 갈수록 패링과 회피 같은 조작의 선택지가 다양해지면서 전투의 재미는 배가됩니다.
무기 & 스킬 & 루미나 & 픽토스 세팅 변경에 따라 전투 흐름이 확 바뀌는 게 정말 한몫했죠.
처음 보는 몬스터를 만났을 때, 내가 어떤 방식으로 대응할지 고민하고
그 변화 속에서 회피 & 패링 & 공격을 전략적으로 엮어가는 과정은
마치 내가 직접 전투를 디자인하고 있다는 생각이 들었습니다.
결과적으로 게임을 엔딩 근처까지 플레이해보고 나니
이 정도 퀄리티에 이 가격이 맞나? 싶을 정도로 만족스러웠습니다.
해당 게임이 데뷔작이라고 들었는데,
이 정도 완성도라면 후속작도 기대하게 만드는 게임이였습니다.
