액손을 잡으러 가는 미션을 진행중, 플레이 타임이 생각한 것 보다 더 길어서 일단 먼저 작성합니다.
사실 턴제나 패링.회피처럼 난이도가 높은 소울류 게임을 별로 선호하지 않아서,
이 게임이 출시하고 나서도 별로 큰 관심을 가지지는 않았습니다.
그러나, 생각한 것 보다 훨씬 평가가 좋고 게임성도 나쁘지 않다는 평가가 많아,
고민한 끝에 구매하여 플레이 해보게 되었습니다.
일단, 턴제 전투를 메인으로 하며 캐릭터의 스킬이나 스탯 성장은 게이머의 취향에 맞게 다양한 방법으로 성장이 가능합니다. 덱 빌딩을 이러한 부분으로 대체한 느낌이 들었고요.
다만, 차이점이라고 한다면 적의 공격을 회피나 패링을 통해 직접 파훼할 수 있다는 점입니다.
보통 턴제 게임은 정적인 전투. 즉 고정되고 경직된 전투 느낌을 제공한다고 볼 수 있는데,
이러한 단점을 보완하기 위해 플레이어가 공격하는 부분에서는 컨트롤을 최소화하여 불편함이 없게 하되, 적의 공격을 파훼하는 부분에서는 패링.회피의 컨트롤 요소를 추가하여 동적인 전투 느낌을 주는게 정말 참신하다고 느껴졌습니다.
의외로 어울릴 것 같지 않은 장르가 합쳐져 새로운 재미를 선사하는 것은 물론, 서로의 단점을 커버해주는 느낌도 받았습니다.
패링.회피 라고 하니 난이도 부분에서도 말을 좀 꺼내보자면,
소울류 전투 시스템에 익숙하지 않다면 무조건 이야기 모드로 플레이 하는 것을 추천합니다.
턴제와 합쳐져 있기 때문에 난이도가 쉬워보일 수 있으나,
패링 회피 판정이 보통 난이도인 원정대 난이도에서 많이 빡빡하다고 느껴졌고,
잡몹과 보스 모두 어느정도 패턴 숙지가 필요하기 때문에 숙련자가 아니라면,
이야기 모드로 하는게 적당한 난이도로 플레이도 가능하고, 스트레스도 덜 받을겁니다.
물론 저도 이야기 모드로 바꾸고 플레이 중입니다.
다만 아쉬운 부분은, 게임 내 가이드가 조금 부족한 부분이었습니다.
또, 대륙으로 나가면 갈 수 있는 지역이 많이 보이는 데, 스토리 위주로 진행할 경우, 이러한 곳들을 방문하기 어렵다는 점이었습니다. (스토리 진행 경로와 생각보다 안 겹침)
