저희는 지난 3월 스테퍼 시리즈의 2번째 스핀오프 ＇다이스 이터: 초능력 추리 카드게임＇을 앞서 해보기로 출시했습니다.
다이스 이터＇는 저희 팀에게도 새롭고 도전적인 프로젝트였으며, 결과적으로 저희의 도전 방향성이 게이머 여러분의 기대로 동떨어져 있다는 것을 확인했습니다.
원래 ＇다이스 이터＇의 정식 출시 버전에는 로그라이크 형식의 챌린지 모드가 추가될 예정이었지만, ＇다이스 이터＇의 기본 플레이가 좋지 않은 평가를 받은 만큼, 해당 방향성은 게임을 더 좋은 방향으로 바꾸지 못하리라 판단했습니다.
그렇기에 개발 예정이었던 ＇챌린지 모드＇를 폐기하고, 스토리 중심의 콘텐츠인 ＇스토리모드 2부＇를 개발하기로 했습니다.
현재 공개된 스토리 모드의 1부가 상대의 초능력을 ＇해석＇하는 파트였다면, 2부는 밝혀낸 초능력을 ＇응용＇하여, 더 강력해진 상대와 대결하는 파트가 될 것입니다.
1부 이후에 다시 한번 교류회의 초대장을 받은 까마귀는, 여러 개의 스테프를 사용하는 상태에 맞서, 스테프를 게임에 사용하기 시작할 것입니다.
게이머 분들이 주신 피드백에 따라, 6월 업데이트 예정인 정식출시 버전에서는 전체적인 게임 플레이의 페이스가 빨라지고, 스토리적 요소가 더 많은 비중을 차지하는 것을 목표로 하고 있습니다.
[다이스 이터]의 시스템적 근간을 바꾸기는 힘들겠지만, 적어도 플레이하시는 분들에게 작은 의미를 가지게 하는 게임이 되도록 노력하겠습니다.
