Our school likes games now
It is a visual novel game in Tsukuru format.
The screen size is 960x720 and there is no separate options menu.
The game has two chapters and ends with the nuance that more will come later.
The story is rather short, taking about 10 minutes to complete.
If you buy it at a sale price, it seems like a game worth trying at least once.
It's a story about dimensions. I tried to write it simply, but it is difficult because of the content.
▷ Understanding dimensions
There are pictures and stories that help people understand dimensions.
0-dimensional, where there are only points without any width or height. If you continuously record the movement of the point over time = 1-dimensional. In a one-dimensional line, if the position of the line changes over time, that is, if the time axis is treated as space = two-dimensional If we treat the change in time of a two-dimensional surface as space = three dimensions
A friendly explanation that makes it very easy to understand and imagine lower dimensions.
▷ Then the 4th dimension is the 3rd dimension time axis as space…
If we connect the stories above, this is a part that we have come to imagine too naturally. If we reflect the time axis into space, it will become four-dimensional, right?
That is, the imagination is that in a four-dimensional world, the three-dimensional past, present, and future will appear to exist in one space.
The Tesseract space that Cooper showed in Interstellar is the most direct visualization of this fourth dimension as a “timeless space.” Here Cooper is shown accessing all time, past, present and future.
Every time I see this scene, I think of bismuth metal crystals lol
It's just one of those fun imaginations that came from the easy- to-understand metaphor that continued from right above: "The time axis merges into space."
Unfortunately, this has “no scientific basis” and even “scientific errors.”
As the title suggests, this is a typical example of a case where the desire to “easily explain dimensions to the general public” created incorrect common sense. I feel very disappointed whenever many science YouTubers seriously explain this by saying, “This is what the 4th dimension is like!”
In both low and high dimensions, the time axis always “exists separately.” And unlike space, it maintains a single directionality (entropy increase = time passing). Even in higher-dimensional theories, time is still one-dimensional, and any additional dimensions are spatial dimensions . Even when we move to higher dimensions, the time axis always “exists separately and is not included” in the space axis.
When we treat time like space, we begin to contradict all the laws of physics, including conservation of energy, causality, and the laws of thermodynamics. That is, the very basis for defining dimensions is being denied.
The Tesseract scene in the movie Interstellar is a science fiction device that visualizes "four-dimensional space," and Kip Thorne, who served as scientific advisor, also stated that it is a "scientific imagination." Of course, there are no great science fiction masterpieces like Interstellar that provide interesting imaginations about such high dimensions!
▷ Just an explanation that is easy for non-experts to understand
In general, dimension refers to the number of degrees of freedom . The space we live in is expressed as a four-dimensional space-time with three spatial dimensions and one time dimension. Here, time is also considered a "dimension", but it has a different character from space. Time is irreversible, is connected to entropy, and is treated differently in the equations of motion. This tells us that the time dimension is fundamentally different from the space dimension. The time axis can never be joined to space.
I'm already starting to get a headache from uncommon words, so I use easy explanations.
There is very little in actual physics or mathematics where time is treated like space. Even when it is used occasionally, it is used for “convenience of temporary calculations”, such as Euclidean spacetime (Wick rotation), spacetime unification of relativity , and Penrose diagram . Even this separates the time dimension again in the final result. In no case does the time axis change into space. Even this mathematical convenience is never interpreted as time itself physically changing into space.
For the convenience of calculation, only a very small number of calculations use the “time=space” dimension! In reality, time≠space
The hypothesis that the fourth dimension is a space that integrates three-dimensional space-time is treated as nothing more than a science fiction imagination. Naturally, it is impossible to verify theoretically. Even in the 'superstring theory', which is receiving attention as 'the only theory explaining the universe', time is still a separate dimension among the 11 dimensions. The remaining 7 dimensions are spatial dimensions, but are not observed in reality (compactness assumption).
That is, the explanation that "4 dimensions = 3 dimensions + spatialized time" is not scientific at all . However, it can be seen as a distortion that occurs in the process of simplifying and conveying complex concepts, and as it spreads, it becomes a common misconception.
▷ What would the real 4th dimension be like?
There is also a saying that we live in a world of 4-dimensional space-time, which is made up of 3-dimensional space + 1-dimensional time. Of course, we are still talking about the 'fourth dimension' limited to spatial dimensions, so we will skip the above topic.
Although we live in a three-dimensional space, our brain reconstructs the three-dimensional space very precisely based on the visual information received in two dimensions (the light source engraved on the retina is two-dimensional). That is, rather than actually seeing the third dimension, we perceive the third dimension through imagination and experience. For us who understand the third dimension in our heads, the fourth dimension is difficult to even imagine.
Ultimately, four-dimensional space cannot be 'perceived' or 'experienced', so we have no choice but to rely on our imagination.
So, it's really disappointing to see other users not even reading other people's posts and writing duplicate posts without hesitation.
Of course, I know the reason, but I have tried to write something worth reading because I don't want to write a single article in vain.
I often feel like I'm just wasting my time. One cafe I use warns users to delete meaningless posts of less than 3 lines for promotion purposes, and in severe cases, even expels them (this was a necessary measure because it is connected to a second-hand marketplace).
Sometimes I wonder if this kind of action is necessary for the mud that runs all day.
It's not my place to write such strange things that have nothing to do with games.
This is such a stupid thing to say, but since this is a place where people just spit out whatever nonsense they want, I'm just going to say it.

Mechanic Hero Woman
Hello, this is the second Claire Obscure journal return.
I'm currently playing on expert difficulty, but it's a lot harder than I thought.
I'll try to endure it somehow and share the gameplay and tips.Gustave was left alone for some reason immediately after the expedition set off.
If I'm alone, I'm sure I'll die, so I have to go find my comrades.
On the way to find my colleagues... Do you see something strange?
Could this be a treasure chest or something?
Why don't games put their treasure chests in such an obvious place?
Let's go closer and take a look.
Oh, it was the enemy.
As I approached, it suddenly got up and rushed at me.
Who are you attacking... I will punish you.
This game features something called free aim shooting.
If you shoot at a weak spot that looks obvious, you can cause significant damage.
Now, you can tell right away that my head is my weak point, right?
Head Shot
Of course, it wasn't a one-hit headshot kill.
Even after shooting a headshot, you'll need to hit them a few more times to kill them.
Just think of it as auxiliary dealing.
After that, somehow I joined up with Rune.
Rune is a wizard position that deals with elements.
You can show your opponent a hot and fiery taste.
For reference, the enemy we're facing now is nothing special, just big in size.
Instead, if you get hit even once, the path to hell will be blurred.
I also increased the ability points with the remaining ability points.
I don't increase defense or HP when playing games like this.
It's not that I'm an expert... but it still hurts no matter how much you raise it in the later stages.
It was better for my mental health to just push through the deal and get it over with quickly.
So I plan to focus on increasing the strength of the attack power and the luck that gives critical hit rate.
The lower the critical hit rate, the better the luck efficiency, so I'll put this one up first.
As I continued on, flying enemies appeared.
These guys won't get hit by any attacks other than the shots I showed you earlier.
But since it was my first time seeing an enemy, I got hit and my blood started gushing out.
Is this expert difficulty?
I made another mistake and Rune died.
But is it just me who has a weird evasion judgment in this game?
Why did I get shot when my body was thrown backwards?
I got angry after using evasion a few times, so I just used parrying.
Still cleared without any problems!
Dead comrades will come back to life with 1 HP, so you can drink potions to recover.
By the way, flying enemies can inflict a lot of damage if you successfully parry them.
It's much more effective to focus and parry than to shoot one by one.
Shooting deals weak damage, but parrying deals all of my damage.
Well, let's end part 2 here.
In Part 3, we plan to fight a formidable enemy.
Those of you who played it, maybe you can guess who it is?
