I remember seeing it as soon as I came out of the lounge and exclaiming "Hey!!!!" and taking a screenshot.

Killer T wakes up to the sound of someone calling from the bone marrow. He is our main character!

Someone wakes up Killer T, telling him to hurry and go to the thymus. Killer T goes to the thymus while going through the tutorial(?) as a cell.

The cells that called out to Killer T in the thymus were dendritic cells . It seems that the last training cell, Killer T, slept late. Killer T is now preparing to become a true white blood cell through immune tolerance .

The dendritic cells we meet along the way say that the ' high five' is important in discerning what is not us! Through the 'high five', Killer T distinguishes between normal cells and infected cells.

'Immune tolerance' is the process of checking whether the immune system cells do not recognize the normal cells in our body as enemies. If they recognize normal cells as enemies, the body can become dangerous. You have to go through this immune tolerance to be reborn as a true white blood cell! And also, ' High Five' tells us that if it recognizes 'us' as enemies, it will die...

The emergence of 'ground'

Killer T cells that had safely completed immune tolerance were sleeping in the memory center. However, Suji wakes them up, saying that they seem to have been invaded by a virus , and on the way, there are cells that are not Suji cells but rather Ground cells. Who are these?

They say that 'Hyeonpitol' is the pure Korean word for white blood cell!

White Blood is a puzzle game where you solve puzzles to fight against viral infections using killer T cells.

The main character, killer T cells, originally play a role in dealing with infected cells in our body.

It's more fun if you have some scientific knowledge, but even without that knowledge, it's a great puzzle game in its own right that's both fun and well-made.

Sokoban means warehouse keeper, and it originated from a puzzle game called 'Sokoban' where you move blocks from a warehouse and solve them. White Blood Toll is also a Sokoban-style game, and the goal of the game is to move the Killer T-Cells and reach the destination!

White Pitol has 'Assist' and 'Standard' control methods. In Assist mode, you can move in the direction you are reaching by pressing only one directional key. In Standard mode, you can move only by extending your hand and pushing it. Standard mode is closer to the original intention of the game, but it can be very difficult for beginners. It becomes really difficult in the time attack map where you have to move quickly rather than in the general puzzle map...^_^

If the difficulty is too hard from the beginning, you may lose interest quickly, so I recommend that beginners play in Assist mode. When you get used to the puzzles, try playing in Standard mode. You can change the difficulty at any time during the game. 😉

Our main character, the killer T cell, uses his 'hands' to show off various actions! He can use his 'hands' to move around by pushing or pulling walls, and he can also move by pulling cells around him. When he sees an infected cell, he pulls it with his hand and blows it up.

Various cells🔬

As it is based on our body's immune system, a wide variety of cells appear. They do not simply appear as characters, but each cell's characteristics become a gimmick in the game.

For example, monocytes can be fixed in place and used when they stick together, so they don't move. Macrophages literally eat up all the bacteria. They are cells that move in only one fixed direction, so you have to think carefully about the order in which they move. I think it was more fun because the characteristics of real cells were reflected to some extent in the gimmick.

Every time you encounter a new cell, your Pokedex will be updated so you can learn about their characteristics.

Please do not paste up flyers or stickers carelessly.

The most fun I had was the key protein area where the door organization appears. It was fun to figure out how to open the wall. The door organization keeps appearing from behind, and it's a good friend who increases the difficulty every time it appears. (That's good, right?)

And the more cells you meet, the more they are added to the border ! You can see the border, which started out empty, gradually becoming full. (Limited to white-pill borders) I think this is another attractive point!!

Puzzle🧠 VS Time Attack⏱️

The maps are divided into two types: puzzle maps that focus on pure solving, and time attack maps . When you clear all the puzzle maps in each world, a time attack map appears at the end.

Puzzle maps are purely fun to solve puzzles. Like Sokoban puzzles, this is a stage where you have to think about how to move cells. As you play, you have to deal with not only Killer T but also infected cells, and to deal with bacteria, you have to use macrophages and monocytes, so you have to think about many things in a complex way.

What on earth should I grab and go with?

Some stages may seem really easy and simple when you first encounter them because there isn't much on the map.......... but that's definitely not the case. In my experience, the simpler something seems, the harder it gets^_^

The reason it's difficult is that since there are no structures, movement is limited, and you have to find a way to break through, but you really can't see it. LOL That's why the Neuron area in World 7 was really difficult. It looks simple, but it's the hardest...

In the Time Attack map, you must deal with infected cells and reach the destination before all infected cells explode. If an infected cell explodes, the remaining cells will also be infected and you will not be able to proceed to the next stage.

You have to make good decisions at every moment because you can't even use the back button (Z). If you make a mistake, there's no other way but to start over... But it's not a map that you can never clear. If you know the method(?), you can clear it within the time limit. The point is that you have to use your brain in a short amount of time to find the method!!

Cytokines in difficult times📞

Of course, since this is a difficult Sokoban puzzle, there are also hints. As you progress through the game, the dendritic cells will tell you how to use cytokines ! In fact, it is a means for cells to communicate with each other, and when you contact them using these cytokines, the connected cells will give you hints.

After wandering around for a while, our T cells will flash, and if you press the C key, you will get a hint. In fact, even if you listen to the hint, you won't see the answer right away. Anyway, in this place where there is nowhere to go, I am so grateful to hear a hint like this... By the way, there are no cytokines in the time attack map!🥲

Cell friends are increasing in number at the border

It consists of a total of 7 worlds: Thymus, Infection Zone, Key Protein Zone, Filter Zone, Macrophage Zone, Neutrophil Zone, and Neuron Zone . New cells appear in each world, diversifying the gameplay.

In addition to cells, new devices are added to the map. In the lymph node, lymph fluid is added to divide the areas that cannot be passed and areas that can be passed. Also, in the neutrophil area, if you get caught in the net of a burst neutrophil, it will burst and die... (Neutrophils are equal to all cells)

As you go further back, various immune system devices are added, making it more fun and more difficult.

Graphics and sound that really make you feel like you're back in the 90s🕹️

The game description says that 'we put a lot of effort into recreating the art style and sound of the 90s', and it really is true to its name, as you can feel the graphic style of various game consoles from the 90s. The options offer a variety of borders and screen effects, all of which are full of a retro feel and cute!!

I've played White Pitol before, but I played it again for this review.

Even though it was my second playthrough, I forgot everything so it wasn't any easier or anything ^_^ (what was this?)

But it's a really well-made puzzle, so it's fun to solve, and as you play it, you feel like you're getting smarter(?).

Not only that, it's a great game with no flaws, including graphics, sound, and map editor...

Difficult time attack makes me cry

The time attack at the end of each level is tense and fun, but it makes me cry when it's really hard... It was really hard because I had to make good split-second decisionsㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Especially the last time attack was so tight that if I made a single mistake while pressing the keyboard, I would scream "Ahhh!!!!" It's not an unbeatable difficulty, but if you keep dying in the same place, you'll cry...

If you focus too much on solving the puzzle, you may miss the story.

I played this game twice. The second time, I saw a story that I hadn't seen the first time. The first time, I was so focused on solving puzzles that I didn't follow the story very well, but the second time, I got used to the controls and had more time to understand what was going on in my body. In fact, I think I skipped over it without realizing it because the story didn't really matter for solving puzzles. The developers seem to be aware of this, so there's a separate dialogue skip mode in the options. Please take note if you're going to play!

And since it is a game based on scientific knowledge, the story may feel difficult if you do not have the relevant knowledge, but if you play carefully with the Pokedex, it will help you understand the story!
