The issue has been resolved now. I reinstalled the graphics driver and the game, which fixed the problem.
It seems the cause was likely related to the graphics card. When I first launched the game, I noticed stuttering.
My PC specs are: AMD 5600G CPU, 32GB of RAM, and an RX590 graphics card. I'm using a single QHD monitor.
Although I initially installed the game on an HDD, the lag couldn’t be explained by that alone.
So I reinstalled the graphics card driver and checked for any errors.
After fixing the graphics driver issue, I launched the game again and noticed that only QHD resolution was available, even when I changed the display mode — that’s why I posted earlier.
Later, I reinstalled the game on an SSD, and after that, I was finally able to adjust the resolution settings properly.
