📖 Plot & Development

The story unfolds around Seol-ah, a college student who runs the adult content review channel 'Poombeonging', and the main character who worked as an editor for the channel.

At first, they didn't exactly recognize each other's existence, but after Corona, when college started... they confirmed each other's existence(?) through a chance meeting at school.

At first, I communicated with my brother through a messenger called Voice Code(?)...

The production that the person you thought was your best friend was actually a top-notch beauty may feel cliche or trite, but the unique setting of a porn channel operator/editor and... the solid production & dialogue flow naturally lead to a high level of immersion.

We feel somehow familiar with each other...

The story progresses in a straight line without any intermediate minigames or other content, and branches into the true ending or sad ending depending on the choices made in the latter half.

🎨 Visual & Production

There was a bit of a disappointment in the early CG, wondering if it was drawn by AI..., but the CG in the major scenes in the latter half was of sufficiently satisfactory quality.

Personally, I was a little disappointed with the CG

When the scene changes, there is a slate directing that says 'Cut!' during the movie, which was a new part that I hadn't seen in other works, so it was somewhat impressive.

When we move on to the next episode, there's this slate direction.

But overall, 'Seol-ah' is pretty and there are no particularly sharp points in other parts... In this work, the crisis and climax are led by the main character's mother character, 'Jung So-jin'.

But in the meantime, I felt that certain parts of the illustration were too prominent, which somewhat hindered my immersion... (Of course, it's good because it's beautiful and pretty...)

I had nowhere to look while talking about such a serious and sobering story...

🎧 Voice actor

The voice actor for the main character, Seol-ah, had some awkward parts in his acting.

However, I felt that the well-written script and appropriate music made up for it to an acceptable level, so it wasn't too jarring.

I hope you can improve it a bit more in your next work! Something like that?

🕹 UI & System

I found it a bit inconvenient because the UI for checking whether AUTO mode is active was not clear...

Of course, if it's on, the script will automatically move on so there's no problem with the process, but it was a little inconvenient to tell whether it was pressed or not. (It was a little confusing because there was quite a bit of dialogue from the main character.)

And the default font has low readability, so it takes some getting used to at first. (It's hard to see...)

If you activate the menu with ESC and press the 'AUTO' button, it will proceed automatically, but it does not show whether it is activated or not.

Other than that, it 's a linear structure with no minigames or other content, so there's nothing particularly special about it.

📌 Overall Review

I think I can summarize this work in one word: "The story is so good." Although the play time is not that long, around 4 hours , I was able to fully immerse myself in Seol-ah without getting bored during the beginning, middle, and end stages.

These days, visual novels are getting bigger in volume and with more characters, so there are many cases where the flow is interrupted in the middle and you have to start over later, but this work is really great because you can enjoy it from start to finish in one go by immersing yourself in short, intense stories.

I want to write a review while getting excited about the true ending/sad ending, but... I don't want to disturb the readers' experience with Seol-ah, so I'm writing this while refraining from spoilers or anything that could be spoiled. Please do...

📈 Forbes' "Most Investable Minority of the Year" #1 (FAKE)

I would like to confidently recommend this work as the best, in terms of the attractive design of the character 'Seol-ah', the CG that is generously provided compared to the entire volume, and above all, the 'story', which is the most important thing in the visual novel genre, is truly excellent .

When investing in stocks, people say that you should look at the intrinsic value of the company rather than looking at short-term chart changes... to focus on 'fundamentals'... (I'm currently breaking my money, so I just wanted to talk about stocks...)

From that perspective, I think that “Dear My Editor” definitely preserves the fundamentals of the fantasy genre—namely, its essential fun and emotion.

There are some issues with the UI, dubbing, and system, but I think it can be improved in the next work.

The composition and presentation of the underlying storyline are so good that I am really looking forward to the next work.

+'Osotis Games', the creator of this work, is said to be preparing the next work called 'Third-Eight's Favorite' under the team name 'Storytum'.

I'm definitely going to do this as soon as it comes out...

I'm not an expert on visual novels, but... anyone who enjoys playing visual novels will absolutely love this work...
