There are plenty of people who share this sentiment.
Charging the equivalent of $100-120 for a skin (when taking into account the store price of skystones) is insulting, and it far exceeds the market price of skins in other popular mobile games. Not to mention, those skins offer more features than minor animation/sound changes.
It's not just the pricing that's the issue here, though. You have locked the ability to purchase this skin behind not one, but two paywalls: skystones and real world currency. There was no need for this, you could have sold the skin by itself just like any other pack, but you made the blatantly greedy decision to prevent people from purchasing something they want unless they also purchase something they don't.
What's the point of even selling skin ticket packs, by the way, if you're going to outright deny people the ability to use them? You said this skin is never coming to the skin shop, so the only way to obtain her is through your malpractices.
You're killing this game. Stop. You have the audacity to do something so foolish just moments before the grand Origin reveal, and it tells us you don't really care about the playerbase at all. The Origin update might as well be damage control for your negligence, not a celebration of this game's history, and that's tragic. Your message to us is loud and clear: you don't care. If you do, prove us wrong and cease with the aggressive monetization right now. Seriously, did you learn anything from the feedback for Awakened Potential? Let people who want to purchase the skin do so, without any prerequisites, and don't paywall anything behind already existing paywalls in the future.
People will support this game because they love it - they don't need to be forced. If you continue down this path, that love for the game will die, along with your profits.

agreed. putting an effective pay wall in front of buying the skin was a terrible direction and a waste of a skin.
It's especially egregious that the 1600-skystone lobby doesn't even work fully without buying a 60-dollar skin AND having a limited unit AND having an out-of-meta Moonlight 5-star!

The type of character the skin is for isn't what's in question here. It's the practices that's been shifting to even more monetization over the past several months. It's the fact that skins have been been earned or bought with real time of the players being sunk into the game as the new Tam skin is considered an epic because of new voice work added, making her what would be considered an RTA prize equivalent.
It's also a skin that had been asked for by the community since the last year's miracle maid kingdom event, yet they're wanting upwards or over of 100$ dollars US (Or where I'm at 150$ CAD) to spend to receive the skin after having to purchase sky stones for one skin. All while the marketing videos tell us they're "repaying our fans" in the promo over on youtube.
This isn't that, it's ripping people off when they can put that money to other things that matter. Telling the player base to "suck it up it's only pve" is the laziest and most damaging way to enter this argument.
Way to miss the point, and out yourself as a shameless bootlicker at the same time. SG will keep pushing the limits of how much scumminess they can get away with, and people like you are a part of the problem. Wake up.
