혹시 이 게임 줄여서 부르는 분 계신가요?
러브 딜리버리는 또 여섯 글자나 되는데도 보통 풀네임으로 부릅니다.
러브라고 줄이자니 너무 겹치는 말이 많고, 러딜이라고 줄이자니 어감이 별로인 탓입니다.
길다고 무조건 줄이는 건 또 아니라는 이야기입니다.
줄일 정도로 길되(최소 4글자), 줄였을 때 어감이 괜찮은 말이 있어야 합니다.
그런 의미에서 지금 한창 할인 중인 양쯔강 살인사건도 줄이기가 애매합니다.
양쯔강이라고 부르기도, 양살이라고 부르기도 어감이 좀 그렇습니다.
양쯔강 살인사건이라는 풀네임으로 부르는 게 제일 멋있죠.
하물며 옆동네 게임에서는 잘 부르던 줄임말을 바꾼 사례도 있습니다.
이 친구의 이름은 데몬 슬레이어입니다.
옛날에는 '데몬' 슬레이어, 데몬으로 많이 불렀습니다.
데슬이라 부르는 사람도 많았으나 데몬 쪽이 더 우위였습니다.
하지만 몇 년 뒤, 이 친구와 비슷한 직업군인 데몬 어벤져가 출시됩니다.
이후 구분을 위해 한 쪽은 데슬, 한 쪽은 데벤져로 부르게 되었죠.

이렇게 어감에 따라, 상황에 따라 달라지는 게임 속 줄임말을 관찰하는 것도 일종의 재미인 듯합니다.
어떠한 줄임말은 아예 공식에서 쓰는 경우도 허다하고 말이죠. (ex. 로스트아크 → 로아)

자매품으로 배틀도 배저라고 부른다 합니다 전프로였던 알파고 방송 자주 봐서 세대차이로 항상 싸우더라고요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
