This website has always been an essential resource for countless content creators related to the game. Every E7-related site gets its assets from this platform. Needless to say, its shutdown will trigger a chain reaction affecting all the tools we currently rely on, as well as the overall life of the community.
In short, what a stupid move from Smilegate, which keeps hurting its players with more and more arbitrary and thoughtless decisions. E7vau.lt kept Epic7 alive—this is a serious blow.

This site has been there for several years and E7 was just fine. Until late 2023 the devs started to blow up E7's balance, that's when things started to get worse for real.
Official E7 "content creators", artists, and people they hire to cast their events have used this site as a resource for years. If E7 wants to take resources away from creators, they shouldn't be surprised when less people make art and other content for their game. I guess they don't care. Maybe this is part of why people who have played for years keep quitting.

You don't seem to know how hosting resources on the web work. The other sites upload the assets to their own CDN and the browser fetches the media resources from there when rendering those websites. They don't hotlink to another website's resources, that's not allowed and many browsers won't even allow cross-source requests either. They mirror them in their own server for their own usage, and often those assets have to be modified for their own goals and are not used as is.
But how do they obtain those very assets from the game? Those need to be extracted, converted and sorted, and that alongside other things is just what E7 Vault did for everybody for free, no ads or anything either I believe. And it's not like just anyone can extract those assets themselves if they're protected.
Not something I'd call to review-bomb about but you come through as a jerk too.

I don't think much can be done by us however since while Smilegate sent the DMCA to the host, ultimately it was the site's owner decision to take it down for good since he's not willing to keeping going (there are ways for sure). Hopefully he will pass the torch and let someone else do it instead of burning everything, our community is small as is and attention has gone to newer, larger games for us to recover.
