Overview of changes

Introducing a new national ambition system Changes related to the all-out offensive Continent is set to base map script AI and performance improvements

Game related

National Ambition:

The final ambition is now called the 'National Ambition' and can be proposed early after completing the five ambitions. A suggestion event will occur when a player reaches 70% or more progress on a specific national ambition. National ambition is not included in the class judgment criteria (i.e., the general ambition proposal is not difficult). All national ambitions are listed separately in the encyclopedia. Added new national ambition: 'Gain +250 Food/Iron/Stone/Wood/Funds per turn' - replacing the existing 'Have 2000 of each resource' ambition Added new general ambition 'Own 4 village (Hamlet) line improvements' Ambition condition calculation and event adjustment so that various ambitions can be proposed.

Changes related to the All-Out Offensive:

The full-scale attack effect does not apply to leader units. All-out attack cannot be activated during cooldown. The leader unit enters a cooldown state after the all-out attack is activated. In the case of team battles, additional action points due to an all-out attack are granted to the owner of the unit. Changes related to the continent map script: Continent is set to base map script Added 'None' to 'Extreme Terrain' sub-option and set it as default Removed option to place tribal territory

Other changes:

Critical hits to cities are impossible Can be stunned when attacking units in a city with no health Panic and Flame Line effects grant 'Disarm' instead of 'Stun' to units that cannot retreat. Units recruited by a Zealous Leader will have their health fully restored. 'Fund Increase' tech card moved to 'Coinage' Removed 'Free Trireme' and 'Dromon Gift' skill cards National Ambition Proposal Timing Adjusted from 75% to 70% National Ambition event active even in no event mode The Flame Temple now grants an adjacency bonus to all improvements in the 'Mine' line (including the Laurion Mine) Commander Leader always grants all units +10 experience per turn (previously units had to be in standby) Free improvements can be built on resource terrain with regular improvement pings. When a city improvement is placed for free, it is removed without harvesting the resource. Adjusted the conditions for the ceasefire proposal event when AI occupies a city Roads and improvements cannot be built on friendly territory. Water tiles can be transferred between cities without going through adjacent land. Experience points exceeding the level cap are converted to training points. Ezana's 'Evangelist' trait grants Christianity/Adept only to units produced in that city (Wrath of the Gods) Added 7 new events that cause disasters to other players (Wrath of the Gods) Reduced duration of the 'Worship' mission to decrease favorability towards other religions (Wrath of the Gods) Increased Scrub spawn chance in 'Ebbing Sea' map from 2% to 10% (Wrath of the Gods) Adjust volcanic eruptions and earthquake intensity (Wrath of the Gods) Reduced chance of disasters occurring on Rare and Very Rare settings (Wrath of the Gods) 'Wrath of the Gods' scenario uses more custom map scripts for volcanoes (Wrath of the Gods)

Programming

Rendering API changes: Linux and Steam Deck use Vulkan by default.
Windows supports Vulkan with the command line option -force-vulkan Epic Mac version works natively when running outside of the Epic launcher (e.g. Heroic) Improved UI responsiveness when switching between workers Performance Improvement Improved combat related AI Improving the use of AI's all-out offensive Improve AI command prediction when planning a move AI moves more aggressively towards enemy cities during war When you have a Strategist leader, the AI is more likely to place ranged units in forests when defending. Reduced frequency of AI fortress construction AI tries to keep ship units anchored for a long time to prevent land units from becoming isolated. AI is less likely to build useless wonders (e.g. Jebel Barkal in a world without a religion) AI cares a little more about culture Invasion tribe becomes less passive Added ALLOW_CITY_CRITICAL_HITS global variable for modders Changed the mod manager to not load all installed maps when retrieving subscription information Use TRAINING_PER_XP value when converting excess experience of a unit to training points Production-capable projects need to specify ProductionType (e.g. YIELD_CIVICS ). Non-production projects do not. iCivics in project.xml changed to iCost

Change the UI settings screen:

Removed 'Options Presets' dropdown from Simple Settings, added 'Event Levels' instead Added 'Reset Options' button to Advanced and Multiplayer Settings screens Added difficulty setting to Advanced Settings screen When switching between the Simple/Advanced settings screen, only the country and dynasty settings are maintained, and the rest are saved separately. When entering the settings screen with a custom map with limited country selection, the map settings are changed to not be maintained (all countries are visible) Fixed activated DLC not resetting every time

Other UI changes:

The selected character is displayed in the upper right, and the ambition is displayed in the upper left. Added 'Net Yield Change' to Expert Build tooltip (includes yield deduction for the replaced Expert) Popup text minimum scale down Remove background UI blur when an event occurs EffectUnit links now include icons by default The slider on the timeline screen is disabled while progressing through seasons or years. Clarification of help regarding urban area numbers The authenticity bonuses for the Mysteries are named by cultural tier. Same tile can be reserved multiple times (units do not execute immediately) Right-clicking the last tile in the movement queue will cause the unit to move. Change the order of the luxury panel buttons Sorting of goal information by scenario Displaying Archetypes in the Successor Panel Display strategic resource icons in the categories of units that can be produced Displays the number of turns remaining on the temporary unit effect icon Change all happiness/dissatisfaction harvest indicators to symbol-based If there are multiple workers on a tile, the tile tooltip will display the list of workers. When selecting a character, move the camera to the relevant city or unit. Always show study UI regardless of selection state Added notification for looted tiles Hold down CTRL key to hide the improvement tooltips Reflect terrain changes and current boundaries on the timeline After selecting a land unit, hovering over a water tile where you can anchor will display 'End movement on land tile required' Automatically pauses when a multiplayer game ends In multiplayer, the last player remaining cannot surrender. 시스커리와 비교하기 (스포 o)

양쪽 스토리 스포이므로 주의하시기 바랍니다.


일단 큰 틀에서 양쪽 스토리는 주제가 다릅니다. 다만, 조금 깊게 들어가보면 비슷한 점들도 여럿 있습니다.


1) 자매

a) 서로 간의 관계

- 사이 나쁨

일단 자매가 등장하는 스토리는 사이가 안 좋은 경우가 대부분이긴 합니다. 그 관계를 푸는 게 소재가 되기도 하고요.

스토리 마지막에는 시스커리는 (루트에 따라) 애매 or 화해가 되는데 프렌치 커넥션은 급 메데타시가 됩니다.

현실 같으면 파탄나겠지만요. 아래처럼.

 

- 캣파이트

시스커리에서는 등장하기는 하는데, 그 자체로는 스토리 주축이 아닙니다.

프렌치 커넥션은 비중이 더 큽니다. 3인 주역간의 아슬아슬한 줄타기 관계가 스토리 주축이 되기 때문이죠. 덕분에 살벌함도 더 감?상할 수 있습니다. 여유가 된다면 캣파이트 모음집도 따로 만들 생각입니다


b) 언니 역

아라와 연희 둘 다 E 속성이긴 하지만, 차이점이 많습니다.


i) 관심을 받고 싶어하지만 동기가 다름

아라는 본인 왈: (누군가 자기를) 떠받들어 모신다는 기분이 좋다고 합니다.

연희는 외로움을 많이 탑니다.


ii) 자기 외모에 대한 태도

양쪽 다 본인이 예쁘다는 자각이 있습니다.

다만, 아라는 그렇기 때문에 관심을 받는 게 어찌 보면 당연하다는 태도를 보입니다 (비틱을 많이 함).

연희는 그러한 부분을 보이지 않습니다.


iii) 자기 친구에 대한 태도

아라는 본인이 친구가 없을 만한 이유들을 스스로 나열해줍니다 [...]

연희는 작중에 이런 태도와 관련된 에피소드가 거의 없습니다. 하지만 학창 시절에는 친구들이 있었다는 묘사나, 대학 시절에 새 친구들을 사귀고 싶어하지만 힘들어한다는 묘사는 있습니다. 자세히는 몰라도 확실히 아라 같은 태도는 보이지 않습니다.


iv) 여우 스텟

연희보다 아라가 많이 높아 보입니다(?)


v) 수능

원트와 삼수생


vi) 대학

아라는 남주와 대학이 다릅니다.

연희는 결국 대학이 갈리지만 남주가 다른 방법을 찾아서 같은 대학에 (잠깐이나마) 같이 다니게 됩니다.


c) 동생 역

아린과 유리는 비슷한 점이 아~주 많습니다.


i) I 속성 / 방구석 히로인

ii) 음침, 멘헤라 속성

iii) 빌드업에 능함 (그걸 생각해내고 실행할 만큼 머리도 좋습니다)

아린: 아라 + 남주가 데이트 직후 사제락에 갔을 때, 아린이 일부러 '프렌치 커넥션' (은 사실 갓파더)을 건네줘서 남주와의 추억을 일부러 드러내게 만듦

아라에게 한 방 먹이고 나서는, 어차피 그 술잔을 낸 목적도 달성했으니 더 이상은 필요 없다면서 버리겠다는 의도를 숨길 생각도 안 합니다. 무서운 아이!

유리: 자기는 축제 안 가겠다고 일부러 방 건너 듣게 만들어서 연희가 포기하게 만듦


iv) 조용한 여우

v) 게임을 좋아함

vi) 수능 리트라이

아린은 삼수생, 유리는 재수생


vii) 언니에 대한 열등감이 있음

자매 각자 결점 때문인지는 몰라도 '쟤네 둘이는 됐고 유화 or 선화 dlc나 내놔' 라는 소리가 나옵니다.

이 두 분 또한 닮은 점이 아주 많습니다.

ii) 우결충 속성은 같지만, 실행 방식이 다름

유화는 (놀려먹기도 할 겸) 3인 남녀 사이의 관계를 아~주 자주 언급합니다.

선화는 조용히 (뒤에서) 남주를 미래 사위로 만들 빌드업을 실행합니다.


iii) 스토리 배경을 제공함

유화는 남주를 아라로 꼬드겨서 사제락에 일하게끔 합니다. 사제락(배경) 점주.

선화는 유리의 과외 신청을 해서 남주가 자기 집으로 오게 됩니다. 집(배경) 주인.


iv) 돈 걱정이 없음

유화는 건물주에 바를 운영하는데, 장사가 잘 되는 것에 딱히 관심이 많아 보이지 않습니다. 알바들과 만담하고 드라마 직관하기 위해 하는 취미 활동

선화는 수석 디자이너에, 저택에 스포츠카 여러 대가 있습니다.


v) 평소에 주역들을 방임함

유화는 툭하면 알바들이 째고 난리치는데 아무런 불만 없이 그러거나 말거나 합니다. ??: 아린이 데리고 올게요. ?: 그래.

선화는 두 딸들이 공부를 제대로 하는지 안 하는지 큰 관심을 보이지 않습니다. 오히려 본인이 땡땡이 치자고 제안을 함


vi) 말빨

 유화는 남주와 말로 주고 받을 때 한 마디를 지지 않습니다.

선화는 유리를 축제에 보내기 위해 남주를 인질로 잡고 [...] 설득합니다.


vii) 필요한 상황에 적절한 도움을 줌

둘 다 앞서간 인생 경험치를 토대로 조언을 줍니다.

유화는 애매한 남주 스텐스를 바로잡는데 큰 도움을 줍니다.

선화는 연희 루트에서 둘이 '사귀는데' 진전이 없어 보이니 애정표현을 더 해보라고 합니다. 현실 같으면 여친 어머님이 꼽주는 기분이라 정말 무서울 것 같긴 합니다
