저는 롤 대회를 팀 안 가리고 대부분 챙겨볼 정도로 좋아합니다.
경기가 있는 날이면 퇴근길서부터 틀어놓고 쭉 보고 있습니다.
그중에서도 특히 챙겨보는 경기를 꼽으라면 T1 팀의 경기인데요.
T1의 팬이라기보다 페이커 선수를 좋아하기 때문입니다.
그 오랜 세월 동안 기량을 유지하는 걸 보면 신기함을 넘어 존경심까지 들더라고요.
그런데, 이 페이커 선수와 함께 이스포츠를 즐길 수 있는 게임이 있다면 믿으시겠습니까?
말 그대로의 이스포츠를 담은 게임, 팀파이트 매니저입니다.
이전에 유행했던 게임이라 아시는 분도 많을 텐데요.
유명세 만큼 특이한 진행 방식을 가진 게임입니다.
보통 저런 게임은 선수 입장에서 게임을 직접 플레이한다는 컨셉이 많죠.
하지만 팀파이트 매니저는 감독 입장에서 진행됩니다.
선수를 육성하고, 영입하고, 구단을 굴려 우승하는 게 목적입니다.
그럼 그저 선수들 잘 키워서 오토 돌리면 되는 게임이냐?
그럴 리가 없죠.
밴픽, 전략 지시, 선수 멘탈 케어까지 이스포츠 감독이 할법한 모든 일을 해야 합니다.
심지어 구단 운영과 자금 관리도 해야 하죠.
이렇게 구단 잘 굴려놓고, 선수들 적당히 키워놓고, 밴픽과 지시까지 성공적으로 했다면?
경기 자체는 선수들끼리 알아서 합니다.
일단 시작되면 감독의 입장에서 잘해주기를 기도하는 수밖에 없죠.
(경기 장면은 제가 3부 리그라 2:2로 진행되는 것입니다. 리그 수준이 높아지면 3:3, 4:4까지 늘어납니다)
게임 자체도 재밌지만, 내가 원하는 팀과 선수를 육성하여 진행할 수 있다는 게 매력적이었습니다.
딜러 챔피언 위주로 숙련도 올리고, 다 이겨서 레전드급 선수 하나 만들면 그게 페이커입니다.
실제로 팀, 아이콘, 선수 등 대부분 커스텀이 가능합니다.
저도 이제 막 시작했는데 설레네요.
저만의 대상혁을 만들어 월즈 우승까지 달려보겠습니다.
