I thought I'd beat the full story ending quickly so I jumped in and ended up playing for 17 hours straight without even eating.
The story is solid, the immersion is good, and it was okay except for a few very difficult parts.
In the beginning, please use Snow White often. Even if it wasn't turn-based and was just made into an RPG, it would have been a masterpiece.

'Claire Obscure: Expedition 33' seen through the eyes of an aspiring game developer
I am a student learning Unreal Engine because I want to make games. Although it was short, I felt and admired a lot as a person who dreams of becoming a developer by playing 'Claire Obscur: Expedition 33'.
This game is more than just fun; it's a high-level comprehensive art . It feels like a lot of work was put into it, with excellent art, music, acting, and the most important thing, fun. It really brought out my senses. I've learned acting, played an instrument, and I like drawing, so just looking at it like this made me feel like my stats were going up.
The combat system is a reflection of the developer's deep consideration. As a learner, I played while thinking, 'How would they have implemented it?', and it was even more exciting because there were systems I had imagined!!! There were many elements that inspired me. The depth of the builds made me completely absorbed in the fun of creating builds for the first time in a long time.
The meeting of top-notch acting and SSS-level graphics is amazing. The vivid acting and expressions of the characters with strong personalities sometimes feel real, like watching a movie, and I was thrilled by the power of the Unreal Engine again. The wide map movement was also designed well without being boring. In some scenes, I even thought it was real.
Of course, the timing of evasion/parrying is a difficult challenge, but the thrill and pleasure when you succeed are considerable. The beginning of the story may feel a bit difficult, but the extreme directing covers it up, and the traces of previous expeditions maintain plausibility, and the interest increases as you progress. There are also mystery and comic elements.
This game, with its blend of technology and romance, has further fueled my passion for game development. I was amazed the entire time I played it, and it is an experience I highly recommend . I will definitely be playing the next game from this developer!
Thank you Smilegate Stove for letting me play great games fast!! and at a great price!!!
It was a really fun play!
congrats
hello everyone!
This is Stove Crew 1st Generation member Lee Ae-kyung, back after almost a month.
Personally, I had so much fun with the Crew Day team play this April,,, that I played all the games but ended up writing a review late.
I'll write the overdue review soon๐ซก
This time, we prepared it with really delicious domestic indie peaches . (Almost like Chiaksan peach sugar level is the best)
I happened to pick this game, but I had so much fun playing it that I checked several times to see if anyone had already written a review๐
It's such a fun game๐
So, are you ready to run with our high-performance battery , โRapunzelโ ?
Let's go~!~!

Game Introduction ๐ซ
title Galaxy Tales: The Story of Rapunzel Genre Platformer originator IKINAGAMES & NANALISTUDIOS Release date 2022.08.09 (Stove) price โฉ 15,500Galaxy Tales: Stories of Tangled was given away for free during the Spring Sale in March 2025!! It's a game that's been out for a while, but judging from the recent event, I think it's a game that the developer is still actively promoting!
Story๐ธ
Here is the Jimu Research Institute somewhere in space. A Jimu researcher(?) named 'Rose' suddenly feels an earthquake in her shelter and evacuates. (Save Jimu~!)
During the evacuation, they discover an android named 'Rapunzel' trapped in a capsule in a laboratory. The moment Rose discovers Rapunzel, the capsule she was in breaks and Rose is released into the world. (Save Jimu~! 2)
As the name suggests, he boasts of having a huge head of hair.
That's how our Rapunzel came into the world... Her special fiber hair is impressive. It's said to be a high-performance android-type battery with an EH engine that can run for a whopping 20,000 years(!) . Jimu and Rapunzel, who met like that, fight against space pirates together and escape the shelter.
.
.
.
As the name 'Galaxy Tales' suggests, this game has a truly fairy tale-like story.
It was as if the story started from the imagination of what it would have been like if Rapunzel had been born in space N million years later.
Another feature of this game is that it was serialized in a webtoon . It has a total of 20 episodes and shows the story of 'Rose' and 'Rapunzel' escaping from the shelter. It's official...! It's not that long, but it helped me understand the worldview a little more deeply. Meet the friendship story of Rose and Rapunzel in the webtoon๐
โถ๏ธ Go see the Galaxy Tales: Story of Rapunzel Worldview webtoon โ๏ธ
How to operate๐ฎ
Arrow keys movement Z Hanging hair X Jump (X, X double jump) C dashUse the Z, X, C keys on your keyboard and the arrow keys! The keys alone may seem simple, but there are many different types of hooks you can hang your hair on, and the terrain varies from world to world, allowing for a variety of gameplay.
New action created by special fiber hair๐โโ๏ธ
Rapunzel's hair is said to be made of special fibers. So it can be freely stretched, hung, and thrown. This hair action is the core fun of the game. There are rings where you can hang your hair all over the game. You can use these rings to break through the map.
Normal Ring: Fly Rapunzel in a set direction.
Opposite Hook: Fly Rapunzel in the opposite direction of her head.
Red Ring: Fly Rapunzel in a set direction until she hits a wall.
There are three types of rings: the ' regular ring' that flips Rapunzel in a certain direction, the 'reverse ring' that flips her hair in the opposite direction, and the 'red ring' that flies Rapunzel until she hits a wall. (All the names of the rings are mine for illustrative purposes and are not official names.)
Graphics reminiscent of Cartoon Network๐จ
The first impression of the game was like watching a Cartoon Network animation. The bright and refreshing colors and unique character designs were like watching Powerpuff Girls. The animation was also very smooth and the speed was great, so I was able to play it comfortably. However, I also thought it would be nice if there was a dark mode because it was too bright for my eyes to play in a dark environment...lol (Rapunzel glowing)
Cool action ๐จ
When playing the game, you will occasionally see action scenes where you get caught in a red ring and fly away. It seems to have been designed using enemies and devices on the map. It is a bit thrilling to break through enemies without the player's effort, and even though the score is accumulated in a short time. It seems like they put a lot of effort into the production!!
Physicalโจ๏ธ + Brain๐ง = Delicious!
(Platformer game feature) You end up cursing your own fingers lol
The graphics are cute and it's a common platformer genre, so you might think it's a game for kids. Absolutely not. No, it's a game that requires a lot of brain power and using the terrain.
WA! Rapunzel! You know, it's really scary. It's hard.
Basically, as it is a platformer genre, a considerable level of physical skill is required. The graphics are cute, but the difficulty level becomes less cute(?) as you progress, such as jumping with precision on the platform, catching hair at the exact timing, and avoiding attacks. In particular, you have to be good at calculating the flying angle of the opposite ring...!
This is what happens when you miscalculate an angle (ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Eww
In terms of the brain , there are puzzles that utilize gimmicks used in each world. For example, in World 2, you push blocks with force to move forward. There are also maps where you have to move blocks in the right order to move forward, and in boss battles, you push these blocks to attack the boss.
How do I push the blocks?
World 6 is an openly brain-based map where you have to solve puzzles by pressing security devices on the map. (+ Physical gimmicks accumulated up to World 6 are a bonus.)
What should I press to open the door?
So if you thought it was a game for kids just by looking at the graphics!! You're very wrong...
Itโs a physical + mental difficulty level thatโs so fun even for adults!!
7 worlds, 7 gimmicks๐
This game consists of a total of 7 worlds . Each world has its own unique character, so it was fun to play. Starting from escaping the Jimu Research Institute, passing through the secret area, warehouse, factory, steel mill, and security area in the shelter, and all the way to the first floor! A variety of worlds await you. With only 4 stages per world, it may seem short, but each stage is quite long, so the play time is long. I played it all the way through, and it took about 8~9 hours.
The gimmicks used in each world also change. World 2 is block pushing, World 3 is a pushing platform, World 4 is a warp, etc. New gimmicks are added each time you enter a new world. Since all the gimmicks that came before are mixed together, the difficulty naturally increases as you go.
I really cried while playing the last world, World 7. World 7 utilizes all the gimmicks from before + is a jar game ... The main gimmick is to go up against the descending platforms, but I cried every time I fell due to a control mistake. I really wanted to attach this as a videoใ ใ ใ ใ ใ ใ ใ ใ ใ It's a good thing I didn't record the mic at the same time^_^ (Mom Gorani played the game)
A boss battle that reflects the characteristics of the world well๐ค
World 4 Boss: As this is a world where warp is a feature, the boss is sent flying by warp to deal damage.
Bosses are space pirates, or the security system of a hacked shelter. The boss battles are well-organized so that you can use the gimmicks you learned in each world! For example, the boss in World 2, which features block pushing , attacks the boss by pushing blocks on the map. The boss in World 4, which features warp , is sent flying by warp to damage it.
Actually, physical is the most important... kekekekeke The controls for moving to catch or avoid the boss are more difficult. However, if you just figure out the pattern well, it's a level of difficulty that you can clear~!
The boss's name seems to be written down as Rapunzel saw the boss and felt the impression. The boss's name is "Jingle Jingle~", "Totally big! Rudolph!", etc. You can see how the boss looks from Rapunzel's perspective. (So cute)
Rich additional content๐น๏ธ
Rapunzel (prototype?)
There are 5 'disks' in each stage. If you collect all of these disks, you can see one memory in each stage. These disks are hidden in some pretty tasty places, so it's fun to find them. They're inside walls that you pass by without thinking, or in places that you have to use jumping techniques to get to. It's fun to challenge yourself to eat them. It seems like the planner really knows platformers well!! I gave up on collecting them all because the difficulty level gets harder as you go on,,,
It's just a one-page memory, but since Rapunzel's true identity (?) isn't really revealed in the main storyline, it's an element that makes me want to collect them all. I really want to collect them all!
Also, after finishing the final boss battle, you can play ' Hard Mode' and ' Mini Game' !! In fact, there isn't much to enjoy in this type of platformer game once you finish it, but I liked that there was Hard Mode and Mini Game added even after seeing the ending. It really made me wonder if I paid for the DLC!! I thought it was a game that I could play for a long time than I thought. But actually, after playing 7 World, I wonder if it can be more difficult here... (Fractured fingers warning)
Positive, cheerful, and quirky Rapunzel๐คฉ
A picture that shows their relationship well
Our high-performance battery android, Rapunzel, has a unique way of thinking, just like her hair. Thanks to this, you can feel a cheerful and lively atmosphere throughout the adventure. Rose always feels anxious, thinking, โWhat if I break this while escaping the shelter? What happened to everyone?โ Every time that happens, Rapunzel blows away that gloomy atmosphere with nonsense(?). Of course, it feels like sheโs talking without knowing anything about the world(?), but I felt like I gained strength while playing the game with this kind of forced positivity๐
Full Korean dubbing for greater immersion๐ฐ๐ท
This game is fully dubbed in Korean!! ! The conversation between Rose and Rapunzel before the start of the stage is fully dubbed... That's why the immersion is even better. Rapunzel is twice as cute. Aside from the cutscenes, the sound of Rapunzel going "Hoit! Hoit! Yip!" whenever she jumps is also so cute. (Ouch! It makes me sad when I hear that sound) It's not common for platformer games to have Korean dubbing, but it's definitely nice that it's dubbed. It's really a great game...
finish
Battery (Humanoid) I don't know why, but this line was the funniest.
Those of you who have read this far will probably feel that I have a lot to say about this game, lol
Thank you for your hard work in reading this long article,,,
After writing this, I feel so sad...
But you can really feel that it was fun haha
Galaxy Tales: Story of Tangled was fun in every way, from the story to the gimmicks, graphics, content, and sound!
Meet 'Galaxy Tales: Story of the Tangled' in the STOVE store right now!
๐ซ Go to Galaxy Tales: Story of the Rapunzel store page ๐
Occasional judgment errors
There were really rare times when I would jump but not land, or when I was within a distance where I could trip hair but it didn't. It was really rare, but since it's a platformer, if there's a judgment error, it feels incredibly absurd lol (possible to become possessed by a gopher)(AGAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) That was the only downside.
Caution with photosensitivity?
I don't have photosensitivity syndrome, so it didn't really bother me. There were no precautions when starting, but I think that people with photosensitivity syndrome need to be careful because the graphics are bright and there are a lot of effects. Please keep that in mind when playing!
Lack of accessibility options
This is related to photosensitivity, but it seems that there is no separate option for accessibility support. I didn't feel much of it in other maps, but in the case of World 2, it seems that people with red-green color vision deficiency will be unable to tell the difference!! I think it would be good if the game becomes more exciting and accessibility options for color blindness, photosensitivity, etc. are added.
~ Highly subjective rating ~
