던전을 운영하는 초보자 던전 마스터 게임은 현재 리뷰 작성 기준으로 앞서해보기로 출시가 되었습니다. 게임은 턴제 전략 시뮬레이션 매니지먼트 게임으로 직접 게임을 오랜 시간 플레이를 하고 게임 클리어를 해보면서 느낀 점은 게임은 중독성이 있으며 재미있지만 다소 난잡해 보이는 점도 보이고 게임 클리어 이후 아쉬운 점도 보이는 작품입니다만 이 게임은 신기하게도 필자 기준으로 게임 오버가 될 때까지 또는 클리어가 될 때까지 게임을 계속하게 만드는 타임머신과 같은 매력을 지닌 작품입니다.
초보자 던전 마스터 게임을 해보면 다양한 장르의 재미를 느낄 수가 있습니다. 정확하게 말을 하기는 힘들지만 이 게임의 장르가 무엇이냐고 물어본다면 턴제 디펜스 장르에 퍼즐적인 요소가 가미된 시뮬레이션 전략 게임이라고 소개를 해볼까 합니다.
여러분은 던전에 시설을 설치를 합니다. 약초, 또는 광물, 보물 등 다양한 것을 설치를 하여 던전을 지켜내야 합니다. 각각의 시설에 설치를 하는 다양한 약초, 광물, 보물, 함정은 적용 범위가 있기 때문에 꼭 퍼즐 게임을 하는 것처럼 좁은 맵 또는 넓은 맵에 가격대를 고려를 하고 적용 범위를 고려를 해서 설치를 합니다.
다양한 유닛들도 설치가 가능합니다. 슬라임, 어스 골렘, 서큐버스 등 출연을 하는 다양한 유닛들도 설치를 하고 업그레이드를 하여 던전을 지켜냅니다.
길드 방문을 하고 퀘스트를 얻거나 던전에 도움이 될만한 것을 챙겨가거나 구매를 해서 더 나은 던전을 여러분이 직접 만들어가는 재미가 있는 작품입니다.
이 작품을 하면서 가장 좋았던 점은 역시나 유닛들을 설치를 하면서 업그레이드를 하는 디펜스의 재미와 테트리스처럼 시설에 함정 또는 광물을 촘촘하게 맞춰서 설치를 하고 다음 턴을 넘길 때 재미가 좋았습니다.
또한 클리어 포인트를 이용하여 다음 난이도에 영향을 줄 수 있는 시작 효과를 선택이 가능하기 때문에 게임은 다 회차를 위한 준비가 잘 되어 있는 작품이라고 생각을 합니다. 다만 오랫동안 게임을 해보니 플레이어의 패턴에 따라 나만의 방식대로 게임이 진행이 되기 때문인지 던전 확장 및 기타 추가적인 유닛과 약초 등 사용을 해보니 클리어가 잘 되는 패턴으로 플레이의 성향에 따라 게임이 진행이 되어 잘 사용하지 않는 장애물 또는 보물, 그리고 유닛 등이 생기게 되었습니다.
게임은 30일 동안 던전을 경영을 하면서 게임을 진행을 하다 보면 발견되지 못한 것을 발견을 한다거나 (유닛, 보물, 장애물, 던전 확장 등) 하는 재미가 있으며, 심지어 게임 엔딩 이후 게임 메인 화면도 바뀌기 때문에 게임을 좀 더 깊이 플레이를 하는 분들을 위한 보상 같은 재미도 있는 작품입니다.
평결 : 얼리 액세스 기준으로 이 정도면 훌륭한 작품이라고 생각되는 초보자 던전 마스터는 던전에 직접 무엇을 설치를 하는 퍼즐과 건설의 재미, 그리고 다양한 유닛을 설치를 하여 업그레이드들 하여 디펜스와 강화의 재미, 다음 턴을 넘기고 행동을 하여 던전을 확장을 시키고 퀘스트 또는 던전을 홍보를 하는 재미까지 여러 재미가 복합적으로 주는 이상하지만 매력적인 작품입니다. 앞으로 확장 또는 업그레이드될 재미로 찾아올 정식 버전이 기대됩니다.
