Hello, I have finally finished the three-day Hardum Trial.
It really isn't easy to try something while working at a company.
Originally, I would have drawn aggro with the title, 'Hardum... Did you get rid of it?', but now I just want to share this joy with you all.
For reference, I succeeded in clearing it after eating about 5-6 meals intermittently.
Let's go see the clearing process.
Actually, I didn't do it that long today.

The Hardum 0-line pattern is really easy, but when I see a ret here, my mentality wavers.

This is the end of the Hardum Try Chronicles, which lasted for three days, perhaps even since the launch of Mordum.

Some may say it's slow, but I'm satisfied because I feel like I've beaten it at my own pace.
Always move forward at your own pace, without giving up, even when things get tough.
This is a lesson I learned from playing Lost Ark for a long time.
I was able to reflect on it again while clearing Hardum, the current final boss.

아메리카 원주민 설화를 바탕으로 한 매트로배니아 스타일의 액션 플랫포머 게임.
게임 진행은 메인 도서관 맵에 각 설화를 바탕으로 한 스테이지가 존재하고, 원하는 설화를 골라 플레이한다. 스테이지 안에는 기록된 설화를 망치는 적들과 숨겨진 NPC 및 스테이지가 존재하며, 이들을 얼마나 쓰러뜨리고 수집하느냐에 따라 클리어 여부가 달라진다. 이로 인해 한 스테이지를 끝까지 플레이한다 해도 클리어 조건을 달성하지 못 하면 다시 도전해야 한다.
결론적으로 이 게임은 비추천한다.
- 2D 배경과 3D 캐릭터의 조화가 어색하다. 배경 그림체가 굉장히 독특한데, 이로 인해 오히려 캐릭터 퀄리티와 대비되어 부자연스럽고 어색하다. 한편 기본 배경 그래픽과 게임의 발판과 같은 기믹 요소가 잘 구분이 되지 않았다.
- 액션 게임인데 타격감과 모션이 아쉽다. 타격은 그냥 화면 흔들림 및 '흣, 핫'과 같은 캐릭터 음성이 다라 큰 재미를 느끼지 못했다. 모션도 뭔가 느릿느릿하고 미끄러지는 움직임이라 속도감이 없어 아쉬웠다.
- 불합리한 기믹들이 많다. 실제 게임에서 적과의 전투보다 맵 기믹에 당해 죽은 경우가 많다. 이게 게임이 '고양이 마리오'처럼 일부러 화나게 만드는 목적의 게임이 아닌데, 정말 자세하게 봐야만 함정이 있는 것을 알 수 있거나 순간적인 피지컬로 회피해야 되는 경우가 많다. 특히 앞서 언급했던 배경과 기믹 사이의 그래픽적인 차이가 없다시피 하다보니 더욱 알아채기 힘들었다.
- 버그가 진짜 많다. 일단 패드 플레이 시 메뉴를 누르면 자기 혼자 전체화면과 창 화면을 번갈아 가며 띄운다. 또한 적이 공중에 리스폰되어 끼거나 적 위에 올라가서 점프하면 적도 같이 띄워지는 현상, 간혹 맵 지형에 끼거나 리스폰 시 캐릭터가 표시되지 않는 등 게임 진행에 방해되는 버그들이 즐비하다.
이 외에도 불편한 키 맵핑, 모르겠는 속성 시스템, 자동 저장, 지도 없음 등 미처 다 적지 못한 아쉬운 점들이 많다.
일단 인하페로 찍먹하고 판단하는 것을 추천한다. 그런데 본편은 굳이 구매해야 될까 싶긴 하다.
